Super convenient location—right across from the big, new DeliPark Mall and close to the Tjong A Fie Mansion, plus loads of great local eats nearby. There’s even a nice little coffee spot called Kaffa right by the hotel exit, which seems pretty new and serves great coffee from both local and international beans. Check-in was a pleasant bonus—they told us we were the "guest of the day" and treated us to a complimentary cake in the room, some extra amenities, and a late check-out. Definitely a nice, personalised experience. The interior feels a bit dated, but it’s still clean and well kept. We did notice small things like peeling wallpaper near the door and a wobbly toilet paper holder, but nothing that really affected the stay. Overall, it was a solid experience—Marriott quality that you would expect anywhere in the world.

As a former manager in four and five star hotels details mean a lot to me. Apparently they also mean a lot at the JW Marriott as attention to detail was noticeable throughout the property. The entire front service staff was gracious and welcoming. The Bellman were always present at the curbside, greeting customers and promptly and efficiently handling luggage. I never had to open the door when going in and out as staff was always present to do so. The front office staff was prompt and efficient and made me feel like a welcome guest. We dined at the buffet for breakfast and dinner as well as prime steakhouse. Staff was cordial, attentive, and professional. Buffets were abundant and well maintained. Food was attractively presented, fresh, and delicious. I was also impressed with the high level of cleanliness, and the overall excellence of the housekeeping staff. Public areas were consistently well maintained and spotless, as was our guest room, which had a large variety of amenities. The fitness center featured over 20 new Life Fitness machines. They included aerobic and weightlifting machines. There were also free weights and a stairmaster. Every machine had a bottle of water. There was also a dispenser of cucumber water.I was also presented with a bottle of water and a towel upon entering. There was also an outdoor swimming pool sauna and steam room. They might be more expensive than other hotels however, completely worth it. I will stay in no other place in Medan now that I’ve been spoiled by the JW Marriott.

stayed here for 3 nights and cannot get enough ! All the staff are very professional and they are able to converse in excellent english. There was one night that our air condition wasn't working and I told the reception in the morning. i did not expect much as long as my air condition worked later on. , but to my surprise i had an apology letter and also a platter of pastries as a form of apology.. it is beyond our expectations that they would go this far ! Thumbs up to JW Marriott Medan !

Every little detail of this hotel has been thought through with care, attention and respect. We felt at home and we felt cared for from the second we stepped out of the car to the second we left the premises. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. We had some issues with the water temperature in the shower and not only did they change our room, they sent us cakes and a handwritten note. Especially Lucy, the asst manager, was a dream to deal with, and understands world class hospitality.

There was nothing I could fault about this, in fact we are planning to come back in this same trip.

Room was large and quiet with great bathroom and view of the city. Everything was comfortable. We found a welcome cake waiting for us along with a bowl of fruit. The breakfast is amazing - so many options to choose from. We had takeaway breakfast on our day of departure as we left early and this too was very good quality and quantity. The hotel is close to a large mall with lots of shopping options. Can highly recommend a stay at the Marriott Medan.

It can be hard to find cheap places to eat in this area but just head off down some of the side streets and you'll find something.

We stay here whenever we come to Medan The staff here especially Eprianda and Agus made us feel so welcome and special we will definitely be back We booked two rooms this time and Jean in Reception was incredibly helpful in making sure the rooms were together Thank you again to these wonderful staff for making our holiday perfect

beautiful setting with lovely restaurants to offer. the chef cooked a stunning beef rengdan which is highly recommended. great facilities in the hotel spa with steam room jacuzzi and sauna all at hand. The staff are very attentive and go out there way to make you feel comfortable and to get to know you on a personal level. the reception staff really helped with my partners missplaced luggaged which was lost/ left behind at the airport for our connecting flights. one niggly thing the room was a little cold for our liking but overall would recommend and would stay again. shopping centre opposite the hotel on several floors.

First, the staff is friendly and helpful, meeting the expectations of a 5-star hotel. Special shout-out to Debang, Nurul and Johannes. The breakfast buffet was really good. And the food at Jade (Chinese restaurant) was within expectation. As for the room, the amenities are great.

The furniture in the room looks tired. Maybe Marriot could consider upgrading items like the work chair, the standing light, and the armchair. Also, compared with the breakfast buffet, the dinner spread was a bit disappointing.
