Such a welcome, felt right at home straight away. They cannot do enough for you.Amazing views from the terrace anytime you are there. I wandered up first thing in the morning and had a delightful view as the sun moved across the valley. Building full of character and curios. Climb up not so bad if you take the steps rather than the long slow road. Worth every step to have the views we had from our room and the terrace. Only stayed one night but loved every minute. Highly recommend.

We chose to bring small backpacks from our car for the overnight so weren't dragging up luggage but might be a bit of a climb with lots of heavy bags. Climb =view in Berat though so anywhere with a great view you'll have a steep walk.

The hotel is character-some, nice decorated and the views from the terrace is awesome of Berat. Rooftop terrace has service for food and drinks, great place to spend the evening. We loved the stay here. Special mention goes to owner who made us feel so welcome. She even trekked up the hill with me when I managed to get my mini drone stuck in a tree on the hill beside the terrace. Highly recommend hotel Guva Mangalem.

Super friendly hosts Gabriela and her family who runs the hotel was the highlight for us. Climb up to Guva mangalem is not too bad thought its the last hotel on top. Me my wife and 2 little kids managed it easily. The hotel is character-some, nice decorated and the views from the terrace is awesome of Berat. Nothing, all was great.

Fabulous views of a beautiful city. Situated perfectly amongst restaurants (Lili, right next door, is an exceptional not to be missed dining experience) and above the main avenue. The hostess works around the clock to assure that guests get everything that they need. She deserves a medal

Be aware that if you are walking up from the main avenue (there is no way to drive) especially with suitcases. the climb can be difficult

The mattress could have been a bit more comfortable. It’s also quite a steep walk up to the property (but also totally worth that part for the views!)

It was a great pleasure for us to spend some nights in this very beautiful historic hotel. You can really feel with how much love the owners of the hotel have furnished and maintain their hotel. It's a must to spend some time there if you are in Berat! We can also recommend the restaurant - especially the restaurant terrace with the view over the valley! Brilliant!

We liked everything, Gabriela was a fantastic host, very kind and warm. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, the terrace was very nice. It is a bit of a climb but most hotels are and this one is a worth it and it’s in a nice quiet area.

Fantastic restaurant and view of the city.

Hotel is on the top of the hill, so have this in mind if travelling with lots of luggage (that was my case). Also, my room had 2 glass windows on the roof that cannot be covered so from 5am sunlight just lit up our whole room.

The hotel is the highest spot hotel on the hill, so one has the old town in the palm of its hand. The hotel is very cozy, landlord nice and views fabulous.

Parking of the car may be little bit tricky since the main road is full of parked cars. Also carrying all the big bags up to the hotel was quite bodybuilding.

From the terrace you had a really great view over the city. The owner was so friendly, offered us cold water every day and asked multiple times if we needed anything. The breakfast was also delicious, especially the omelett, homecooked and fresh from the pan! Very reccomendable!
