This was a stop over enroute to Lake Como. The on-line pictures do not do the property justice, as initial impression is that it might be a bit drab. In reality it is a nice property, just decorated in dark colours. The room we had was very comfortable, large, well decorated and clean. We chose it mainly as it is located a little off one of the main routes into Switzerland and so cannot comment more broadly on the area. You do need to book the restaurant in advance, as it is very popular with locals. The restaurant was excellent, as was the service, if a little pricey. A good continental style breakfast, more geared to a German taste (to be expected). There is a small pool and plenty of areas to sit out at and enjoy a drink, We would certainly recommend the property.

It would have been nicer with a more "international" breakfast.

I was there for a week during Eurovision in nearby Basel, much better value for money than staying in Switzerland and only 15 min away.Big room ,parking space, very friendly personnel especially at breakfast (Sasa) .Didn't try the pool area or the restaurant for dinner. Room was spacious and clean.

Honestly I was very pleased can't think of anything that the room lacked maybe an iron but it could be done through the hotel or a mini fridge. Could use a coat rack or a bench to put luggage.

Generous size of the room which allowed for a seating area to be included. Evening meal was fantastic and were able to cater for those with food intolerances. Atmosphere in the hotel was great due to attentiveness of the staff. Breakfast was also enjoyable. A small swimming pool for the brave! Easy walk-in distance to a local bar for a drink before the evening meal

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Muhle. It was very comfortable, with very high standards and very friendly and informative staff. Evening dinner was exceptional, as was the breakfast. We would definitely stay again and would very highly recommend Hotel Muhle.

The shower under the roof was a bit tricky for someone taller, the 2 spiders in the shower unexpected, and the bottle of shampoo filled with water surprising

Our stay was really great, once again. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. We really look forward to staying at Hotel Muhle and it never disappoints us.

The restaurant undoubtedly serve delicious food, but we would have preferred a less gastronomic - and less costly dinner.

Lovely hotel with all details thought. Pool and garden very well kept, with lovely restaurant terrace. Friendly service. Good restaurant although the pasta sauce was too salty. Absolute bonus for welcoming dogs! Great stop close to Basel.

No place to write or work, just a sloping antique cabinet; only one chair. Drain in shower in the wrong place.

The location was perfect for your drive from Northern Italy to Germany. The hotel is extremely well managed & the staff professional, personable & have a sense of humour.

Only that we did not stay longer!
