We had a wonderful overnight stay at this very well appointed hotel. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner. Our room and en-suite facilities were spacious with lovely furnishings and a large bed which was very comfortable ensuring a deep sleep. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant were marvelous affairs with attention to using natural ingredients, beautifully presented, and with very efficient service. What struck us was the attention to minor detail within the hotel which made it stand out. It goes without say that the hotel was spotlessly throughout and all staff were friendly and helpful.

Everything but the lady at the reception. Conveniently located near Basel, modern facilities, comfortable room, good breakfast.

The lady at the reception (possibly the manager) first made a borderline joke on us arriving towards the end of the breakfast service (‘we have bern waiting for you’), but most importantly would not say anything when we would pass by the reception + left me 5 minutes waiting for the checkout without even lifting her head or saying a word to me. This is not polite attitude from a receptionist even when someone is busy, you can just mention: sorry I am busy, I will be right with you. On the plus side, they agreed to later checkout and waitress at breakfast was kind.

We stayed for one night on our way home to UK. We had stayed there before and been impressed. The room was spacious, the bathroom with walk in shower was wonderful. Dinner was served in the garden as it was a warm and fine night. The food was freshly cooked and very good.

The breakfast was served on a cake stand and included butter, bread, pastries, jam, cold meats enough for two portions. There was no buffet so choice was non existent for the usual breakfast foods but it was possible to order a limited range of hot food mainly eggs. There was juice and coffees etc.

Everything was so pleasant. The staff at the reception and in the dining room. The road to the room was filled with birdsong. The room was so clean and the comfortable bed was a pleasure after hours of driving. The products in the shower smelled wonderful. Dinner was excellent and there was a gluten-free selection so convenient that you don't have to look for a restaurant and just go downstairs. I will definitely be back. Thank you very much for the lovely hospitality.

I had a fantastic stay at zum LOEWEN. 😊 The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options to start the day. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return! 🇷🇴🫶🏽

Great stay overall! A small suggestion would be to add better ventilation in the bathroom for added comfort. Thanks for considering!

They called us ahead of time to ask if we would like two rooms together (yes we asked for it) with a connecting door, perfect for our family arrangement! We had a wonderful time, they truly are catering to families, they have a wonderful terrace, with fountain and sandpit for the little ones. Also two charging places for Electric cars. Lots of dutch electric cars staying the night so good place for night on the trip to somewhere else. In the morning they prepared, unasked, a breakfast table with high chair for us. They really are perfect for staying! We'll be coming again if we're travelling around here.

Nothing dramatic, the hotel is next to a busy trainstation, isolation is top notch. We've layn in bed feeling the trembling from a train but not hearing it. We slept wonderful, eventhough we had our doubts about the noises

Everything was perfect, the welcome from Luca was pleasant and professional, the room very clean, the bathroom beautiful with a very big shower, the dinner excellent, Marina was serving us with experience ans class, the breakfast very good and with a lot of choices, served by Mira very gentle and with a lot of care for us. What else? We will for sure come back dear Barbara! Thanks!

Very nice room and bathroom. Excellent bed. Perfectly sound proof windows. Excellent and sympathetic dinner. Warm welcome at the reception. Nice terrace in front of the hotel well behind local traffic. Good breakfast. Half of our party could arrive by train with very little walking time. Could even charge my EV for free.

Staff at breakfast a bit rough, would not propose much unless you ask. Not possible to have the windows open even with the limited speed in front of the hotel to 30. Lack of privacy in the bathroom.

It was awsome, clean, comfortable! I had a very good sleep. The breakfast is very nice, enough and served in a special manner:) There is a train closed to the hotel but is not their fault:))

I think the sound of the train but only for the first time. Then, was something normal :))

Very clean hotel with very friendly staff. Nice rooms and comfortable. Good restaurant, popular for locals. Outside area, and rest of hotel nicely designed.

One item: the airco in the room was very noisy at night, which kept us awake. It might be only in our room (201)? But, I'm confident this will be fixed.
