The staff are nice and friendly even though they are not fluent in English, they will try their best to understand their customers. I have stayed in the hollywood twin room, it's small but very clean. (The room might not be big enough to place large luggage case opened on the floor) Onsen is the best part of this hotel For people with tattoo but want to go to the public onsen, you can ask for skin color stickers at the front desk for free. Ski Free locker for ski equipment. Though there are comments saying there is free ski shuttle bus, they DON'T offer this service anymore. For transportation in the morning, whether you have to take a bus "御料線" at Furano JR station at 8:10am, and get down at the stop "４線", and then walk around 15 minutes to the ski area, or take a taxi for 2,500 yen one-way. For those who need ski rental, you can go to the Wave rental (search K-Sports on Google map), which is 3-min walks from the hotel, and they offer shuttle bus to the ski area.

The hotel is located opposite a very unattractive railway yard, but some upper room views of the mountains, can be forgiven. We chose the town views, which were also, not the best, but also had nice views in the distance. The roof Terrace has the best views, no attractive lounge or seating setup... just a roof & few chairs. The 9th floor Onsen, were very popular & super hot, with a choice of private 1 to 6 person or traditional 'naked' public bathing. Free offsite parking Coin operated laundry Free ice confectionery in 9th floor Community waiting room. Service, from the car park, foyer, lobby to check out, is the usual Japanese Full Courtesy.

The location, is not attractive, but it's in town & 10mins, by car, to the best of Furano. Free 'not-so-nice' lobby coffee machine & yucky green tea. The only milk anywhere, is from tiny milk substitute capules.

We had a great stay at La Vista Furano Hotel. The beds and rooms are perfectly comfortable, and the hotel is spotlessly clean. The onsen hot baths are terrific—a real highlight of our visit. We only had breakfast once, but the food was very good. That said, the very copious buffet would have been a bit much for us to enjoy every day. What really stood out were the many little free perks: coffee, orange juice, ice cream, Yakult, and massage chairs—all those small touches made the experience extra pleasant, especially for the kids. Service was efficient and attentive without feeling overly formal. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. One thing - it's worth renting a car while in Furano, as little is entirely walking distance.

There was a minor, and quickly resolved issue - our room was supposed to be non smoking, but there was a lingering smell. The reception quickly moved us to a floor that didn't have this issue. Not really the hotel's fault that some people still think it's ok to smoke inside a hotel room. They were gracious about it.

We stayed at La Vista for six days. Do not be put-off by the minimalist, small bedrooms—this hotel is a gem. The public onsen (outdoors and indoors on the roof) is magical, especially in December-January in the snow. I have been to several onsen in Japan and this is top notch—new, clean, well-maintained, extra toiletries and amenities, new massage chairs, etc. The 3 private onsen is an added bonus, as my husband has tattoos and could not go into the public one. I tried all 3 private onsen and the public one beats them all, in my opinion. Lots of reviewers discuss the breakfast, which is excellent with many choices, such that I always had something new to eat/try over the week. The free laundry (minimal fee to use the dryer), as well as the free yakult, free apple jello, free ramen, and free ice cream really make this a standout property. The extra amenities make it well-worth the price, in my opinion. Several properties in Furano with onsen are aging (the Shin Furano Prince Hotel chief among them, but Highland Furano even worse), so once you see the rest of the onsen in the area, it gives you a perspective of just how great La Vista is. What sets La Vista apart from other hotels in my opinion is the dedicated and very hard-working staff who try their best to bridge the language barrier and provide kind and patient service. They make excellent local restaurant recommendations, and the lady in charge of breakfast check-in is truly wonderful and we will miss her. We look forward to returning to La Vista with our kids. It is a family friendly property to the max—they have thought of everything. I hope when I go to book again it is not full! It has so many great reviews I fear that everyone will go there now! But really—skip the rest of the properties. Even though it’s not the closest to snowboarding, you can get the Lavender bus for $1.80 and enjoy the charming town.

The pillows were hard, but they grew on me. A coffee machine that does cafe au lait or latte might be nice—we just added fresh Furano milk to our coffee, so this is not a big deal. A small lobby convenience or gift shop with later hours might be nice too—again, these are small things. There is not much for the property to improve upon.

Rooms were comfortable. We liked the option for private onsens, free use of laundry machines (dryers had to be paid for, but charges were reasonable) and post-spa refreshments. Good dining options are available in the vicinity as well.

Booking system wasn't so clear - e.g. children older than 12 are considered adults. This could have been due to the hotel or Booking.com, but our reservation did not log the last child in my group, so we had to pay an additional reservation fee and for one more breakfast on check-in. The hotel did not reply to my earlier emails for clarification on this.

Great location in a beautiful town with magnificent views of the mountains. Very kind and welcoming staff. Grateful for the private hot tub, was able to relax in peace and quiet with significant other. Great secure and private spaces with different temperatures, a bonus for those of us with tattoos.

There was a tour group of other foreigners with zero regard for guests trying to use the onsen. It was awkward and impeded access and usage. While most guests were quiet and courteous, the same foreigners were loud and obnoxious and their behavior seemed to be accepted by staff.

the hotel is one of the best we visited in Hokkaido, it exceeded our expectation. it appears to be great budget value hotel, we got free massage chair, ice-cream, ramen and PRIVATE BATH. the location is also excellent and it is right next to the train station. I would highly recommended anyone who plan to visit Furano stay there. in my honest opinion to the hotel, i would strongly recommend you retake some quality photo shots, the photos on booking.com is so not reflecting how good your hotel is. all your staffs are also very friendly and speak good english too. we had a great time staying in the hotels, kids love it too, thank you

What really exceeded my expectations was the free ramen, ice cream, yakult and 247 free drinks available at the reception. It was very nice and considerate of them to offer these esp knowing there isn't much to do at night in Furano :) Also, the public hot spring and private one was amazing~ highly recommend to try the private hot spring!

Breakfast was great with many options to choose from, however the selections were more japanese standards - it will be great if they can expand to other cuisines ranging from Asian, Indian etc.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, using it as a base to visit surrounding areas even as far as Sapporo. Longest driving duration was about 2 hrs only. The hotel’s breakfast was fantastic with many choices of Japanese, Chinese & Western dishes. Free coffee, tea, orange juice throughout the day. Most enjoyable thing is the free ice creams (many choices of flavours) & Yakault after the Onsen. Only 3 private Onsen suites available, so need to try your luck as there’s no reservation system. Public transit Onsen pools are sufficiently large for around 10 people & has indoor & outdoor pools. Parking lots are sufficient but need their transport to fetch driver to & fro if parked further away from the nearest carpark next to hotel. Within walking distance, there’s is well stuffed pharmacy cum minimart & few famous local restaurants are also within walking distance. Though we lost 1 of our room card, the hotel was kind enough to waive off the replacement fees. 👍 It was a pleasant stay for my family & we look forward to come back if we are visiting Hokkaido again.

The 2 massage chairs need to be replaced as the cushions felt worn out & thin & the contact with the rollers felt hard & slightly uncomfortable.

Great view. LOVED the massage chairs. Hot baths were very hot, but beautiful. Free icecreams on the 9th floor were fun! We hired ski gear from K-Sport just up the road, who were fantastic and provided a free shuttle door to door to the ski field.

I didn’t think to ask for softer pillows straight away, but when I did they provided them. The beds were firm but fine, better with softer pillows. The room was snug but met all of our needs.
