Beautiful room with the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a long while.

The gorgeous bedroom led on to a large balcony. Given the quality of the bedroom, it was disappointing that there was not at least a couple of chairs and a small table on the balcony outside the room. Tea and coffee were provided in a small lounge downstairs from the bedrooms. This was fairly makeshift with only paper cups, found in a box in the corner of the room. If the hotel wants to promote itself as a lovely place to stay, then a little more effort could be made in providing tea and coffee facilities.

It was in the perfect location for our family reunion. We had rooms that opened out onto the verandah. This made it enjoyable to relax in the fresh country air. It’s convenient having the pub & bistro downstairs. Fantastic water pressure on the shower. Staff were friendly and Catherine the cook was very accommodating for our breakfast (given we didn’t pre-book).

My room didn’t have a private bathroom but I was aware of that at booking. You have to pre-book if you want to have breakfast.

We stayed one night at this lovely and very well maintained country pub. The twin room was beautifully and tastefully decorated and the view was superb. Bathrooms were clean and in great condition. Carpets and paint condition were excellent. Dinner (hamburger and Schnitzel with veggies/mash and peppercorn sauce) was delicious. Staff friendly, attentive and welcoming. The hotel had a lovely quaint, old world ambience. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay.

Rooms and verandah were wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful. Only drawback was having to travel down the road for dinner on a Sunday night because restaurant not open but front bar was - lively open fire - and PO across the road opens at 7 and does coffee and breakfast - this hotel is a true find in the Aussie pub tradition 👏

Excellent location. We were in town for a family reunion so location was perfect. Bed was comfortable & room clean. Staff were friendly. Pizza was fine but would have been great to have other choices when staying multiple nights. Great news to hear that a new chef is about to join this week. Local white wine was delicious.

Room was quite small but was ok for our needs. Bathroom was shared but this was never an issue as directly opposite our room.

Very funky old hotel. Well maintained and clean. The bar reminded us a bit of an old English pub. The huge verandah was lovely to sit out on and watch the sunset. Very good pizzas too.

No parking off the road but that was ok

A great pub stay close to historic carcoar. Easy check in and check out process. Great dinner available at the bistro. Highly recommend the king size room with ensuite.

Great old pub with loads of character - rooms were immaculately clean and bed very comfortable. We loved the double doors that lead onto the wonderful old verandah.

Its a classic country pub, nice atmosphere downstairs. They've done up the rooms upstairs a bit. The one we were in had the ensuite. Comfortable, clean, plenty of blankets.

The heater struggled to overcome the cold at first, but got there in the end — those high ceilings are great, but thats a lot of air to heat!
