The hotel is a short, easy walk from the train station which is convenient. The hotel is a typical business traveler hotel in that it’s just a clean, quiet, basic small hotel room. As a solo traveler it was satisfactory for my needs. The hotel staff was pleasant and courteous. Numerous restaurants, a grocery store, and convenience store food are all within close walking distance.

Not a complaint, however as mentioned the room is small and is really just a place to sleep. Staying here was just fine for me. If you’re looking for a resort experience, then this is not the place for you.

The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept like a baby. The room was equipped with an air purifier/humidifier that was a godsend in the dry Japanese winter. The onsen was very well maintained and quite relaxing. Finally, the breakfast buffet had a good selection of delicious foods and was a great value for the money.

My one complaint is with the shower water temperature control. It was way too sensitive and the slightest turn made it either scalding hot or ice cold. Finding a comfortable temperature in-between those two extremes took a lot more effort than it should.

The size of the room was roomy compared to some others I’ve stayed at in Japan. The couch and desk were nice to have in the room.

They need to offer at least a few western breakfast items (like eggs and toast). There was nothing that I wanted to eat in their breakfast offerings except coffee and a croissant- and they had no butter or jelly to put on the croissant. Also, they should make English subtitles an option for their television, or give access to Netflix.

Breakfast could have been warmer. Eggs/omelets were always cold. Every morning breakfast included: chicken, hotdog, & salty noodles. A change like scramble eggs and bacon would have been nice.

The rooms were small. Pillows were so flat I needed 3 pillows. There were no closets to hang your clothing. No chest of drawers to put clothes in. Had to retrieve my clothing from within my suitcases everyday. There was only 1 luggage stand that the two of us shared everyday.

Good price & location - I was traveling alone on a budget to visit the Kintai Bridge area, so this was important to me. It's maybe a 5 minute walk to the station, and the bus only takes about 10 minutes to get to the bridge. Everything at the hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was totally satisfactory for a continental breakfast in Japan. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. I speak Japanese so English isn't really necessary, but I did notice that several of the staff intentionally spoke to me in English, so English-only speakers should be comfortable here.

The only thing I noticed especially was that the onsen is quite small. Of course, that can't be helped, but it was small enough that even having two people in at the same time can feel uncomfortable. This is especially true as a foreigner - not because I'm uncomfortable, but because many times Japanese people are around me. But I was still able to enjoy it, so this isn't really a complaint, but more something to be prepared for.

The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I slept MUCH better here than hotels at the same price! Amazing selection of food and entertainment within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast served on site had a lovely variety buffet to choose from. There are extra robes, pajamas and pillows to bring to your room on the first floor, as well as an onsen. The coin laundry worked great, and it's right next to vending machines.

Excellent location! Iwakuni Station is just a few minutes away on foot where you can catch buses to all the major tourist attractions. There are also a bunch of restaurants, conbinis etc. within walking distance from the hotel.

There was just a single pillow on the double bed. Also, the rooms are not soundproof, despite what it says in the property info. It's not a big deal, but something to keep in mind if you plan on doing any work and/or are a light sleeper.

We did not eat the breakfast. We are probably spoiled Westerners, so we just ate from grocery stores.

Not much. It was our hotel of choice in Iwakuni. Near Anderson's Bakery, near the train station, wonderful & helpful staff. We will be back.

The train station is really close. Lots of restaurant options nearby. The hot bath is really nice. Staff is very friendly. There is a Lawson really near the hotel, so you can get a lot from there.

The pillows were uncomfortable.

The property was clean, check-in very easy. We appreciated having extra pillows available and AC worked well. Parking was nearby and very reasonably priced. Downtown location provided lots of restaurants, kombini and easy access to the local train station.

This is a true Japanese hotel with beds, although very comfortable, on the floor. I’m not sure if western options are available but I would’ve booked that if I had read room types more closely. This is a very minor complaint considering this IS a hotel in Japan.
