This is a first rate ryokan located in the heart of Miyajima. They definitely know how to take care of their guests. We stayed in a western styled room with its own Japanese ofuro (bath) that had a wonderful view. They also have a restaurant the serves outstanding fried oysters and other Japanese cuisine.

Great visit. It is in a nice, easy and accessible location. The room we had provided excellent views. Our beds were very comfortable. The bathroom- toilet and shower were nice. They had public onsens which were very nice and clean. We enjoyed the rooftop area/lounge. They had excellent free drinks( beer, wine, water, soda, etc ). Also had some nice snacks. We enjoyed we could choose our own yukata which was nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had comfortable beds and the room was overall very comfortable. They provided a traditional breakfast which my wife and daughter enjoyed. We did not sign up for the dinner. Our visit at the Kinsuikan was excellent and definitely would recommend it to others.

Amazing location and the staff were extremely friendly. Mitsunaga served us a delicious meal on our 2nd night and was extremely attentive to our needs. The room itself was superb and a fantastic way to relax after visiting several cities across Japan. We got a free lift back to the ferry port (although only a short walk) with our luggage when leaving. This was without question the nicest place we stayed across Japan. Definitely worth it for the luxuries. The rooftop deck was so peaceful on the evening.

A traditional ryokan that offers cultural experience through its decor, cuisine, and hospitality. The room is spacious and immaculate. The room was laid with tatami mats. The staff will come to the room to prepare the futon for the night. Pillow selection is available on every level. Complimentary drinks(alcoholic and non-alcoholic), snacks, and ice cream are available in the lounge area. This ryokan is near to many tourist attractions(i.e., ferry terminal, Otorii Gate, Itsukushima Jinja, main shopping street, etc). The big bath(onsen) was one of my favourite, I've a wonderful rest after soaking. Last but not least, the staff are so pleasant and friendly.

The interior design of the ryokan was rather dated. As we did not upgrade our room to sea-view room, the room we'd is facing the main shopping street, which is quite noisy during the day.

Everything! This place was amazing. The location is incredible and the staff were so friendly and helpful. This was our one splurge stay during our trip and man was it worth it! The hotel had hot springs, but we also had a private one in our room that overlooked the bay and Tori gate. The hotel has a rooftop terrace where they provide an open bar, various non-alcoholic drinks, ice cream and some other snacks. You can sit in private sitting areas or up top to look over the scenery. We also got yukatas to wear which was a wonderful touch. Our room was spacious and included a chair massage. Seeing the island during "off-hours" when it's not as busy as the day is a huge bonus.

Nothing - this place was incredible.

Excellent location leading directly to the red Tori gate. Our room was very comfortable and clean but we felt that for the cost it could do with an update to the bathroom and beds. It’s unfortunate that the restaurant within the hotel can only be accessed by guests staying in certain rooms, who get the option of dinner. Those who would be prepared to dine there and pay for dinner are not able to access the restaurant. However there is another restaurant just outside the hotel which was good. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Everything! Right from the reception, the amenities offered to the service of the staffs. Rooms were really clean and the in room dining is a must have. We booked the couple room with the en suite onsen and we can directly see the Torii gate from our room. The experience is exceptional. There is also access to the common area with many snacks and drinks provided. One of the most complete experience I have had in a hotel. The price might be on the steep end but definitely worth the experience!

Nothing to pick on!

The meals were excellent. We requested no fish for our meals, and the hotel provided excellent food replacement. Besides, all staff members we met were very friendly and helpful. The lady serving our dinner, 黑田san, showed good hospitality with her very warm and positive attitude.

Nil. We were very satisfied with the room, which gave good sea view and was very clean, delicious meals and friendly staff members. Not to mention its convenient location.

The staff were exceptional. They provided expert advice and assistance with everything from restaurant bookings to luggage transfers. The hotel is stunning with amazing views of the sea and Torii gate. We upgraded on the second day to a bigger room with a temple view and it was really worth it. The staff were so helpful in this regard. The restaurant was very good. The rooftop terrace was amazing with stunning views. The private bean bag rest areas were perfect for our teenagers to chill out. I would highly recommend this hotel. Miyajima is so beautiful with so much to see and do, and a great location for a day trip to Hiroshima.

We should have stayed longer!

We loved the rooftop terrace. We loved the coffee, drinks, ice cream and nuts that were available. I particularly liked being able to choose the type of pillow I like. Location amazing. The onsen was wonderful.

We couldn’t eat at the hotel because there simply were no options without meat or fish. It would have been wonderful to have some salads. But this is only a small note - we knew this before we arrived - so we were prepared.
