1. Location was fantastic The hotel is connected to JR Hiroshima station on level 2 of the Shinkansen exit. There is a 7-11 at the station and you can find a pathway next to 7-11 that will lead you directly to level 2 of the hotel. 2. Amenities There are lots of dining options at Ekie malls with lots of fining options. There is also a supermarket and you can buy the local food products and souvenirs from the small shops. 3. Polite staffs The staffs are courteous and helpful and they made our stay a pleasant one. Even though they speak little an English, they try to help as much as they can. 4. Convenience at the door stops Public transport such as streetcars (trams) and buses are easily accessible. You can head to South Exit and take the loop bus 101 and 102 to get to popular tourist places or take their streetcars.

Wifi is weak

As we were only there for one night unfortunately for us it was a beautiful hotel. Our purpose was to come to see the Mazda Museum of course Hiroshima bombsite peace Park and of course near Miyajima Island. Next time we come we’ll stay a lot longer. If you’ve never been to Japan or Hiroshima or any of the big cities I would recommend staying right next to the station. The station will do your head in as it is anyway and you’ll get very confused which direction to go to but I believe that you stay in Shinagawa and start from there.

The thing that upset us the most was when we got off at the train station is very lack of signage to tell you which direction the hotel is in and having a big day and coming back very late at night to our room. We walked the wrong way and it was so frustrating because again The signage is nowhere it should be displayed so that’s probably the only thing that I would say is very difficult was finding your hotel.

The location is super, just next to Hiroshima Station and the airport bus terminal. The Hiroshima Electric Railway (road tram) terminal is also within a short distance. There's a covered walkway from hotel (2/F) directly to Hiroshima Station, and there're many restaurants and shops around. We stayed in a Superior Twin Room, spacious enough to open 2 big suitcases in the room. The room is a bit outdated but hotel service is good, they can help us to keep the luggages for 2 days when we made a short trip to other places.

The room is a bit dark with insufficient lighting. The toilet is a bit smelly when we first get in the room and after flushing every time. There is also big noise for the flushing.

Loved that this hotel is connected to the train station with excellent options for lunch, dinner or even a late night snack. Very convenient with rooms comfortable and well appointed.

Booked dinner at the BBQ at the hotel. Staff there were not very responsive and were more interested in playing with each other than attending the guests. The meal was average at best but not worth the cost. Compared to the rest of the hotel and staff, this was a real disappointment and should be reviewed. There are many better options across the way in the train station.

Cannot find a better place than this hotel in Hiroshima! Wonderful location, professional staffs and comfortable room make our stay an unforgettable impressive time here! A special thanks to the front desk staff Mr. Ishii. He helped us for the communication with local stores, very appreciate for his assistance! Strongly recommended hotel for staying in Hiroshima. By the way, Hiroshima is such a nice city to visit, with various historical perspectives as well as the Carp's baseball fever! Love it!!

Room and toilets were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Location is just a 3 min walk from the train station. I will definitely book this hotel again if I visit Hiroshima in the future.

The hotel has 3 different restaurant/lounges for breakfast, but it seems their main lounge is closed until further notice and the japanese restaurant is not very popular, leaving the Dish restaurant as the main option among guests and it gets really crowded. Furthermore, the buffet spread was the same during my stay. There could be more variety in their offerings.

Its proximity to the Hiroshima station and access to station foods/restaurants and shops. The hotel was beautiful. The room was well appointed and bathroom had amazing water pressure. The rates were very reasonable. Our other family members booked a room for 4 beds for 4 people but had to pay double what we paid for two rooms for 4 people, but they did have a bigger room and nicer bathroom. Breakfast buffet was also excellent.

The staff laughed at us when writing tried to eat our take out lunch in lobby. They did put us in a private room to finish the lunch though, but it was a bit strange. They informed us luggage would be in our rooms as we checked in but it took another 30 min to arrive to our room. Lastly the check in took forever, with lots of paperwork to fill out and lots of paper receipts. Overall experience with the staff took away from our experience.

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel as for us was ideal - just right next to the station. It was easy to get public transport to the main locations we wanted to visit and when we checked out quite early in the morning to get our shinkansen, we just had to walk 5 minutes. Staff are very nice and professional. The view from the room was great and the breakfast that was offered to us on the first day at the cafe on the 21st floor was exceptional.

There was no bar open on Monday evening after 9pm. For an hotel of this category, there should be a bar open for guests every night. The rooms are spacious (for Japanese standards) however a bit dated - at least the one that we had.

Perfect location, spacious room, complete facilities, conveniently accessible and connected to the train station. Tour bus, taxis and bus stations are just outside the hotel. Restaurants and supermarket are everywhere. Express check out.

We ran out of our purchased mineral water and asked for water from the cleaner who provides 2 free small cartons of water daily whenever she cleans the room. She didnt give us water coz she said that it will only be provided once she cleans the room. She didnt care even if we would dehydrate...she could have just given us our share for the day.

The hotel was nice and the relatives indicated that the hotel is considered high rated. It was clean but did not seem warm. The room and value were good. Front staff were great and I loved the proximity to the train station. This Granvia was better priced than Kyoto which I though was overpriced. I liked the light in the lobby whereas Kyoto's is dark with not enough seating in the lobby.

I would have liked more of the culture reflected in the hotel lobby. It seemed too clean and sterile. It was not warm and cultural like the city of Hiroshima is to me and my family. I have not visited Japan for over 50 years so the hotel felt like an average hotel in the US. I would have like to seen more infusion of the Granvia logo and Hiroshima culture. I do not know if I would recommend it for family as it had high end marble and nice seating areas but with no color. Floral arrangements or even bonsai plants would have made it warmer with some color.
