This is the nicest place we have stayed in Japan. The room is like something out of a movie set, the owner has clearly made this ryokan a labour of love with lots of cute touches here and there. The room was spacious,had a kettle and fridge, air conditioning and bathroom accessories. In the communal lounge was a coffee machine and complimentary biscuits. The owner was very friendly and helpful and we communicated efficiently with signs and gestures. Great location 2 minutes walk from the ferry terminal. Most tourists leave by 5pm and don't arrive until 9am so it was very quiet at night. Would definitely recommend this place, it was absolutely fabulous!

A beautiful and conveniently located hotel. The owner was so accommodating and lovely. The hotel is next to the ferry wharf and very close to the Lawson. The rooms were spacious and very clean. There were so many amenities and extras that aren't listed on the website. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Nothing I didn't like but most restaurants on Miyajima close super early (before 5pm) so if checking in late, bring food or go to the combini.

Extremely convenient, literally just across the road from the ferry pier and not hard to find at all. Room was very clean and comfortable. Our host did not speak English, but was able to attend to all our needs without issue. Was definitely a memorable experience staying in a traditional Japanese room on Miyajima. Would highly recommend!

Such a quaint accommodation with a traditional Japanese feel. Room size was generous (especially after a week in a Tokyo hotel!) and really comfortable. Location was perfect. There were so many cute details around the accommodation which made it feel super special. Our room overlooked the main square, with large sliding windows to let in some of the ambience from outside. We could also watch the deer from our room! Was soooo nice! Staff were so lovely and welcoming. We would definitely recommend!

This property was in a great location very near the ferry terminal. The host was very helpful and sweet even with limited English. The room felt very large compared to other hotels we stayed in on the trip. Would definitely stay again if back on the island.

Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

The hotel was just minutes from the port. The host was extremely helpful. Good coffee and tea available and a small area with homemade craft items for sale. The room was spacious including a balcony-like alcove looking toward the sea. The name - moon rabbit - was very fitting.

Everything was wonderful

I really liked Yoshiko and her place. It was decorated with a rabbit theme (she loves rabbits) and it had a home vibe. Her place is super clean, comfortable and has all the amenities you need. plus she herself is a lovely host! If you don't care that there isn't an onsen onsite (there is a place that allows non guests to use the onset for a fee) nor a kaiseki dinner on site, then consider this beautiful ryokan, great value for your money. Location is a plus since it is close to the ferry, easy in, easy out! I would definitely stay again if I come back to Miyajima. Her rating is 9.4, but clearly it is a 10+

This was the cutest Japanese style hotel. The owner was so welcoming and helpful. The location was so close to the ferry terminal but really quiet at night. The rooms were spacious and we only wished we could stay longer.

Great proximity to ferry and all the attractions.Very friendly, accommodating host. A very authentic Japanese experience.

Just bad luck but there were some noisy revellers in the park across the street who kept us awake for a while.
