The cover photo needs updating as the current one doesn't do it justice! The room has been tastefully renovated with consideration to the building's age & essentially 5 star facilities. The breakfast hamper is amazing, along with yoghurt, juice, fruit & milk in the fridge. Bed so comfortable & bathroom spotless. It's absolutely an amazing room to stay in (I booked a king room). I did expect a lot of road noise, but it was absolutely minimal.

I stayed on a warmer night & no fan in the room. But had I asked, they would no doubt have resolved this.

The Woolpack Inn exceeded my expectations, the staff were incredibly friendly, and welcomed us with a bright smile. She kindly showed us to our room, and told us to be mindful of low ceilings. The room was wonderful, clean, comfortable and warm. My partner and I loved how cosy it felt, the bed was exceptional. The book on the desk was filled with activities to do nearby, and facts about the staff at the pub and hotel which was a lovely touch. The bathroom was also incredible! We joked how it felt like the 'Tardis', looks small on the outside but they have accommodated the space so well. We will definitely be returning again!

Nothing - it was perfect!

Gorgeous building and the room was lovely - really comfortable. Breakfast hamper had a great range and was a lot more convenient than having to go downstairs to breakfast between certain times as in most hotels.

My room was directly above the bar and even though it was a Monday night and not very loud or busy downstairs, all noise (talking and music) came straight up through the ceiling/floor. Room also overlooked the smoking area, so when I opened the window the room was noisier from people talking in the smoking area and smoke came in.

The room (a different room to the one I stayed in previously) was lovely, cool, and spacious. Once again the breakfast package was a delight. The huge, separate (a great element actually) bathroom was amazing, and the huge bath was very welcome.

There were a couple of lights not working properly, and while the signs do mention the low beams, I feel some padding or a more obvious colour on the beams would be useful (I'm aware I'm tall, but this didn't stop me from smacking my head on it a couple of times).

As usual the room was lovely; spacious and cosy. The lighting has been perfected to be ample, and amenities were good.

The bedroom blind still doesn't seem to work, and it was roasting when we first entered the room. There was loud music (expected, and warned about), however it would be nice if some noise dampening tiles could be put on the ceiling of the pub, and less cost of the room. Ear plugs are supplied, but it doesn't make up for a peaceful unencumbered sleep.

Lovely and clean ideal location for visiting this little village

We stayed on a Thursday night No food was available which was not said on website or as advertised was informed the brassiere down the road which was the sister company would serve food unfortunately was closed and didn’t look like it had been open in a while , also email morning of visit that it was karaoke night and singing till 12 , Not the peaceful break we had anticipated as luck would have it was cancelled thankfully Room and facilities where great muffins cereal tea and coffee etc unfortunately the yogurt’s in fridge had been half ate so just a reminder for staff to check in future bed was comfy although it was not the superking plus as advertised x beautiful church next door x

What a wonderful place to stay. Our room was amazing with a large separate bathroom and everything you could need. The breakfast basket hit the mark with a good selection of options. The room was clean and cosey and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and we loved ending our day sitting in the bar, enjoying a local beer.

I was very impressed with the size and comfort of our room ,it was exceptionally clean ,we would be happy to stay there again .

the only thing I wasn't sure about was where to leave the keys when leaving ,there was nobody around so we just left them on side in our room .A box or something would have been good to drop them in .

The room was absolutely stunning, plenty of space in both bedroom and bathroom and they were both sparkling clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the complimentary breakfast hamper was perfect. The lady who checked us in was lovely and extremely helpful, both with our early check in, explaining everything and went above and beyond trying to help sort a taxi for us to get to the wedding we were attending.

The only frustration we had was trying to sort a taxi to a wedding which was only a 5 minute drive away. While this absolutely was not the fault of the Woolpack Inn, it was frustrating that there wasn’t a local taxi service available, something to be aware of if you’re need to travel outside the immediate area.

The decor, cosy feel of the room and the location.

Smaller room than expected for the cost, the lady that checked us in mentioned that only 2 rooms were occupied so would have been nice to have a bigger room and one on the front as was very noisy at the back. We were advised of an event being on so we expected noise but could have possibly been located away from it...
