Shelley the owner was incredibly welcoming and had been brilliant in communication before arriving. The room was incredibly clean, tidy and comfortable. The addition of a little breakfast was also excellent. The property was quiet and easy to access. We stayed with our 2 year old and there was plenty of space to set up a travel cot despite the addition of a sofa bed in the room. It was a very warm day but the temperature in the room was great and there was a fan provided. It is located 20 minutes from the zoo which was the reason for our visit. We used a local pub, a 7 minute walk from the property, which was quiet and the food was great.

The only thing that brought the rating down very slightly is the children's play area advertised was quite old and obviously not used often. This wasn't a reason for booking but was something we had considered a perk for our little one, it was usable but not in the greatest condition. We only stayed for one night so it was fine for a quick 15 minute play before we left but Shelley did point us towards the local village play area!

Nice and peaceful area, close to Colchester, Lavenham and Bury St Edmund which are defenitelly worth a visit. Check your bills in Lavenham, we were in two shops and local pub and they all tried to cheat us, I guess it is their way to treat tourists. The hosts are lovely and very welcoming people. We travelled 3 adults and one kid, I would say the room was a bit snug for 4 people, but we spent very little time in. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Hosts were so friendly, property has everything you need there for a short stay/ home away from home break. We were even able to take the dog!

Couldn’t really fault anything – no soap in the bathroom sink, but this didn’t ruin our trip by any means, it was a very last minute stay and everything else was perfect and thought of, including breakfast items.

This was one of the best places we have stayed we were greeted by the owners as soon as we got there so welcoming and friendly The room was brillliant had literally everything we needed The breakfast provided was outstanding with all we needed including fresh bread , eggs and milk. The surroundings were amazing too

Nothing to dislike

Tiny stand-alone little house with a kitchenette for breakfast, a spacious toilet. Very comfortable of you have little kids. The children loved it. There's also a playground area outside.

Very nice room in a quiet location. Very friendly host. Breakfast was provided in the room (plenty of eggs, bread, cereal, milk, water etc).

The hosts were so friendly and helpful, the continental breakfast range was excellent and more than enough for two. The room had everything we needed and ww would visit again

Nothing to dislike

Everything was just perfect for our short stay! There was even children playground where my little son loved to play.

The property is in a great location it was beautifully situated on the main property, the host was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do more to have a present stay , would recommend and hope to stay again in the future.
