Partner and I stayed for two nights to attend a wedding. Utterly charming little B&B in a quaint Essex village. Very clean, cosy and comfortable accomodation, warm and nice and quiet too. Big, varied selection of bathroom shower gels to choose from too if required. Very handy proximity to the castle for the wedding. Jacky, the landlady, was very friendly and cooked a marvellous hearty breakfast both mornings, and patiently put up with our picky food requirements. Twiglet the dog was an added bonus! Highly recommended staying here if visiting the area.
Honestly one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Only one - very slight! - quibble, it wasn't the immediately obvious how quite the shower worked, e.g. which tap did what, but experimenting soon cleared this up.

A warm welcome from Jacky and her eagerness to attend to any request. Jacky provides an excellent and varied breakfast. Not just a traditional full English, but the addition of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, and three different conserves to go with wholemeal toast. Fresh brewed tea, coffee and fruit juice of course. Adjacent off street parking.
I may be being a bit picky to say anything at all here, but, it was noticed that a couple of items in our room had not been dusted for quite a while.

The location was perfect as I was attending a wedding at the Castle and the reception at the Memorial Hall. All within walking distance. The Old Pottery was beautiful. The room was lovely, as was the view. The breakfast was fantastic. Fresh fruit and yoghurt, full English, toast and jam, coffee, and fruit juice. All nicely presented. The host was fantastic and very accommodating.
Nothing.

This property is in a great location at the end of Heddingham Castle village. The Castle was just afew minutes walk. The room was spotlessly clean, light and airy. There was an on suite with the room I booked and other rooms appeared to share a bathroom which looked great. The breakfast was fantastic! I chose a cooked breakfast and could also have had cereal, fruit and toast. Nothing appeared to be to much trouble for the host who made me feel welcome and looked after me superbly.
There was no coffee/tea facilities in the room.

This lovely home was warm and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at the large, luxurious bathroom facilities! The bedroom was very comfortable. I enjoyed the free wi-fi and TV channel selections in the room. Breakfast was more than what was anticipated, and quite tasty. Our hostess, Jackie, was fabulous. I couldn't have asked for a better experience
I can't think of anything that could have been improved, except that I wish I could have stayed longer!

The Old Pottery is in a perfect location, very close to the castle. The hostess is extremely welcoming and her home is both beautiful and spotless. Also, the breakfast provided is of exceptional standard. Many thanks Jacky!

Fantastic location to attend an event (wedding, in our case) at Hedingham castle.
The WiFi was a bit patchy/glitchy (and mobile reception in the area really not good, which is not something the owner can do much about!)

I booked this property last minute for my bridesmaids after being let down by someone else. Jacky was incredibly accommodating and helpful, her communication was great and all my guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay! The rooms are beautifully decorated and each has their own bathroom. It’s proximity to Hedingham Castle makes it an ideal place to stay for any wedding guest!
Nothing!
