Breakfast was good with a nice eating area. Front desk staff were great. Room with a kitchenette and small table was great.

Layout of the room was odd. There was no place to sit to watch TV except straight-backed chairs at the table which were too close. The floor tiles in the bathroom were badly cracked and the floor creaked and moved when walked on. The tub had some of the typical grungy hotel caulk and grout. The electrical outlets and covers looked to be originals from when the hotel was built in 1974. Modern block transformer plugs just fell out of the wall in a couple of places. The bathroom fan was VERY loud.

I stayed for four days (alone) while hiking around Mount St. Helen's. Loved the location as it was close to the highway but far enough away where you didn't hear traffic. Loved the breakfast offered and the rooms were quite cozy. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. When I come back to St. Helen's, I'll be looking to stay at this place again.

The walls were a bit thin and could at times hear people next to me, was not a big deal at all. The bed blankets were also a tad thin, granted I do like to keep my room on the colder side, but just an observation.

We got the last room available…..a large king suite. The hotel was packed with teenage kids from various schools that were attending some sort of tournament. Hotel was noisy on Thursday evening when kids arrived…..quiet on Friday evening……kids were all tired and went to sleep. Breakfast room was swamped with kids who wasted lots of food….made large waffles and only ate half. The hotel attendant in the breakfast room did an excellent job replenishing food and staying ahead of the crowd.

Room 137 needs a maintenance man to tighten up hair dryer where it is attached to wall…..also check out chrome hand hold bar in shower….is loose.

Wife and I have stayed at many places, Mostly in San Francisco, and other then the size of the room, This was a fantastic stay, The location was perfect, The maid service was top notch, The breakfast in the morning was real and good, Sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, country potatoes O J, coffee, better than Denny's ... And our room was in the perfect spot ... Car right outside our window Vending and ice out side our door .. Room 111 We will book here again Awesome place ...

Modern hotel with free hot breakfast and a nice indoor swimming pool. Staff were very friendly. Close to restaurants and shops. We used it as a base for Mt St Helens. Room was not the biggest but did have a table and 2 chairs as well as the usual amenities like fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable. The guest laundry was very efficient and good value. There was an unexpected area power cut on the Sunday night which the staff handled well.

On the Saturday night the hotel was very busy with a lot of children staying and apparent party goers who didn't seem to realise that all the noise they made in corridors was loud in rooms. Despite that we had a room at the back which was very quiet at night and Sunday was very peaceful.

The Chinese restaurant Nextdoor was ready to close, so we had to get family take out. The sweet desk clerk saw us bringing in this big box of take out and graciously offered to set us up in the breakfast room to have our dinner. The breakfast the next day was awesome. Clean room, quiet atmosphere. We can always count on Best Western!

The staff at this hotel was amazing! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The lady that set up breakfast, broke it down and cleaned deserves a raise! I saw her with a smile hard at work every time I ran into her. The pool was also awesome and always warm!

Professional, friendly staff. After the horrid experience @ another hotel in town which I cancelled. I decided to make a reservation with Best Western. I felt very safe and welcomed with my stay. Will concern staying there in the future.

The breakfast was very good; plentiful and with several hot dishes.

I booked through Booking.com which I will not use again. I was led to understand that I had booked two rooms each with two queen beds, but on arrival found that I'd booked two rooms with one bed each. I was about to leave, but the nice clerk found an alternative that worked for me. I rated the place higher because of his help. The Best Western is not a new or especially attractive motel, nor are the grounds spacious or inviting. It's definitely a 3 out of 5 so the $209 fee that I paid for each room was exorbitant, I thought. As for the Booking.com website; it's either deliberately indecipherable, or uses bait and switch tactics.

Great stay. Pleasant staff, clean room. Only one night but no issues whatsoever. Due to my schedule they worked with me on a late checkout and accomadated me as best they could.

No negatives.
