The staff was so kind and helpful. The hiking trails and waterfall were amazing! And our room was comfy and had everything we needed. The included breakfast was excellent. Use of the kitchen, fridge, and microwave and extra snacks provided were also a bonus.

Well there was this one little bird with a beautiful two note song that we adored at first , but was relentlessly repetitive going into the night. Would rather hear that though than traffic or sirens, or noisy neighbors.

Location was next to none. I've never been to a place with waterfalls and rainforest in the inn's property. Very secluded and quiet. Beautiful sunrise. Breakfast was very tasty but needs more variety for travelers who are staying longer. There were only three choices and starts serving at 8:45, which is too late for active people who want to start going to places, such as hiking trails

We stayed near the Barn, in a cabin with communal bathroom and kitchen that the staff and work awayers use. The whole is stunning and really well kept, and we loved how private the cabin felt. The showers were great and toilets always clean. The staff were always supportive, and having access to a private waterfall and section of the river was a massive treat. We would definitely stay again.

Our only critique was lack of mosquito net in the cabin. Although we were careful with keeping the door closed, we still got bitten during the night. A mosquito net that hangs over the bed would definitely be beneficial.

Absolutely stunning place to stay. It is quiet, beautiful, peaceful and you truly feel home away from home. The innkeeper car was friendly and adorable, the staff were friendly and the grounds are spectacular. We loved the private dinning experience, but make sure to mention your dietary restrictions or what you don’t like to eat as you don’t want to miss anything from this multi course meal. The common area were welcoming and there were snacks, tea and coffee available at all time. The rooms were light and you could hear the falls in the background, for a lovely white noise at night. We will be back!

We stayed in a private cabin on the farm that felt like a little oasis. There is no TV or distractions, you can hear the river and birds. The bathroom and common space were just steps away, and it was nice hanging out with other travelers and the employees. The semi outdoor shower was awesome! Connecting with nature and other folks who like to relax and enjoy their surroundings was so great! The waterfall and river were stunning, and walking through the bamboo garden was seriously a sight to see as well. We will be back!

Amazing location outside of Hilo; communication with the Inn was excellent and needed as the road to the Inn was far from the gate access. Definitely try to arrive pre-dark so you can find your way in the first time. Interesting Room was pleasant-different "themes" for each room. Listening to the waterfall in your room added to the ambience. Breakfast was good-fresh fruits and a good omelet. The bamboo trail to the waterfalls was interesting; maybe add more signage? Enjoyed meeting other travelers in the more informal setting in "our house".

The gardens and waterfall views were beautiful Enjoyed the hike to the waterfalls and swimming in the waters near the waterfall. Rooms were clean and comfortable and easily accessible to the waterfalls. Breakfast was located in a great location with views of the garden and waterfalls. Breakfast was delicious and meticulously prepared.

Everything was great. would have been nice to have a restaurant for dinner options.

This place is like being in the middle of the rainforest. We were at the Pagoda house and the waterfall was right outside my window. I loved falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall and waking up to the birds. It was delightful. The house was clean, not a fancy hotel which is what we wanted. Breakfast was great and the staff was very nice and helpful. We also visited the Cacao farm next door and it was fun learning about chocolate. My 16 year old son said that the place was pretty cool as well!

One thing to know before going is that it is about 10-15 minutes down a one lane road that has many turns- not many cars are actually ever on the road but I am glad we had rented a Jeep for our trip.

Location and accommodations are beautiful. It is a magical place! Sound of the waterfall at night is hypnotic. Falls are lit up at night, don't miss it! Staff was wonderful. Helpful, available at all hours, and accommodating! Anything we needed, they were right there ready to assist. We forgot to sign up for breakfast and they were so accommodating. We did the waterfall repelling with guides Eric and Jeremy. They kept us safe and made sure we had fun! Inn is close to town, Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, and Kaumana Caves (flashlight required). Be sure to feed the Koi fish near check in.

Not Hawaii's fault, but I didn't like the Mosquito Bites. Take bug spray. If you forget, the Inn's rooms have bug spray available. I used it and walked away with about 3 bites. The ones who didn't use it had about 15. Use it, you'll be glad you did.

Incredible location! We slept with the windows open for cross ventilation, and it was heavenly. We woke to a beautiful Sunrise and the sound of the waterfall just beside our room. The activities and walking paths going down to the waterfall pool make this venue paradise. Their gardens are peaceful and lovely. Breakfast is included. Staff is super helpful and happy. My only regret is that we spent only one night.

Stay was too short. One less day in Kona, and an extra day here would have been better.
