Very charming house with specious bedroom overlooking a beautiful countryside. Very friendly welcome from the owner, who recommend a couple of good restaurants for the night. The property is located in the old part of the town with a walking distance from the car park. Good breakfast served from 9am. The location is very quiet so you wont get any traffic noise. The house has many different "corners" where you can take a seat and rest with a book or simply enjoy the cozy atmosphere of this lovely property. Also it was a very good value for the money.

A cosy hotel with very boutique feel to it, it's located right in the historic centre of Arcos, great service and also fantastic atmosphere.

The room we stayed in was ground level and quite noisy, but at night there is almost no pedestrian or car traffic so it was great. Please listen to hotels advice about parking/taxi, as it is quite a walk up the hill from closest parking.

Everything was wonderful, we felt like we were treated like family, delicious breakfast served on the terrace, beautiful view from our room, convenient to many restaurants, historical area, comfortable beds. We watched the swifts flying each evening from the terrace. It was a tiny oasis.

Very warm weather made it a little harder to keep a cool temperature in every part of the larger (3 and 4 person) bedrooms

The staff and owners are very professional and friendly. The views are excellent. The place is very charming and warm. The rooms are ready for both cold and hot weather.

The beds were too soft for us, the rooms are a bit small, and there were small ants in the bedroom. Breakfast was good but no source of protein was provided (eggs, ham...)

I don't think we have ever stayed in accommodation as beautiful as La Casa de Bovedas, with such an incredible view. The bedroom was enormous and decorated with lovely and fascinating objects and pictures, obviously chosen with care. The entire house is picturesque and comfy, with patios and lounges which can be used by the guests, and even a terrace with a small pool, all overlooking the valley beneath Arcos de la Frontera. Cecilia and her daughter Anna were very friendly, and found out bus times for us and gave us lots of other bits of information. The house is right in the centre of the old part of town, handy for all the main sights. And make sure you visit the nearby Mayorazgo Palace, with its arcaded courtyards, the exhibitions of contemporary paintings (produced by the local artists' cooperative), and the very moving displays which cover the village's tragic past during the Spanish Civil War (all in Spanish, but Google will instantly translate any photos you take with your phone). We loved Arcos, and we loved La Casa de Bovedas, and we hope next time to spend longer there. Oh, and the breakfast was excellent!

It's an amazing property, beautiful apartment and an architectural joy with beautiful furniture and artifacts. The owners were kind, generous and so interesting. Located in an amazing part of the town we had a memorable 2 days. If only we could keep it a secret

Loved the view. Great central location. Host was very accommodating-calling a taxi to pick us up from the lower parking garage. Loved the courtyard and plunge pool.

Overall great, but the lighting in the bathroom was a little challenging.

We felt that the Casa de Bovedas, identified by BookingCom as "Casa de Bovedas Charming Inn", has many features of a boutique hotel. In particular, while the Casa de Bovedas, with its patios, atrium, wooden doors, and white walls, has the look and feel of a traditional residence of a prosperous Andalusian merchant, it also has plenty of modern comforts including central heating and air-conditioning. And though each room does not have its own minibar, there is a refrigerator for guests: guests simply note their consumption of drinks and settle the bill at the end of their stay. Very significant is that the entire "Casa" has been designed and decorated very tastefully so that it looks and feels personal and private, not at all institutional. In keeping with the design, the welcome too is cordial and personal. Moreover, it's a joy to have a tasty breakfast in one of the patios or enclosed spaces. Fortunately there is a feature that Casa de Bovedas does not share with boutique hotels: the price is eminently reasonable! For us, the location was ideal: near to all the sights, quiet at night, close to cafés and restaurants and with fabulous views of the river, lake and countryside far below.

Visitors to Arcos de la Frontera should be aware that it is difficult to find a place to park in the old town (i.e., the "casco antiguo") and in any case driving into the old town entails negotiating extremely narrow streets and very sharp curves. (Incidentally there is no turning back: once you begin to enter the old town, you must continue and bravely squeeze through very narrow passages with sharp curves.) Fortunately there is a fairly convenient alternative to parking in the old town: park in the large Paseo Andalusia underground parking garage and rely on a taxi or the minibus to get you to the Casa de Bovedas.

Beautiful property. Central location made it difficult to access by car, but staff made everything as easy as possible giving parking details and arranging for taxis. Stunning room, views and balconies. Excellent breakfast and great honesty bar for the hot afternoon!
