I truly enjoyed my recent stay at the AZZ Mérida Medea Hotel. The rooms were notably spacious and felt very contemporary, offering a comfortable and well-maintained environment. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the beds, which were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after exploring the city. Furthermore, the hotel staff were consistently friendly and highly accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests. Overall, the hotel provided an excellent experience, marked by both its quality amenities and welcoming service.

Not to mention, everything was great during my stay at the hotel.

I liked the space, the balcony, and the accessibility to the supermarket. Straight walk to downtown through the bridge was excellent! I didn't care for the tub. I had to go inside the tub in order to shower. If you have knee problems, it is not good.

When they cleaned the room, they never exchanged the glasses. Sometimes, there was no new toilet paper. It's a matter of letting the front desk know. But a checklist for the cleaning crew would be better. This way, nothing is missed.

Everything worked OK and the bed was comfy. All was quite clean and generally worked. It would benefit if maintenance replaced the seals in the sink plugs as they didn't hold water for very long but that is a minor gripe. Breakfast had a good selection of foods, the restaurant was clean and there were enough staff on duty which is gratifying to see as we recently stayed in a couple of Paradors where there was 1 person for over 50 guests. The breakfast option when booking the room here was good value.

As usual, the sauna was on out of action - as seems normal for Spanish hotels. The description of "Balcony" is rather over stating it. You can't get a chair on there. And having a fridge in the room would be good.

The hotel is out of town, on the other side of the River Guadiana. We chose the hotel (having been there before) to avoid having to take the car into the city-centre traffic. The room was very spacious, light and comfortable, and as an extra plus we were able to enjoy our own jacuzzi! Staff were friendly and efficient. When we didn't want to stay in the town centre for dinner on the first night we were able to have an excellent Italian meal in the shopping centre across the road from the hotel.

Some people might be put off by the walk (c. 30 minutes) into the town. However, we had chosen this to avoid city-centre traffic and the walk, or most of it, is very pleasant including crossing the 2000-year-old Roman bridge!

The location met our needs and we had free parking in the grounds. The room was large, airy and the beds comfortable, bathroom facilities excellent, clean linen and towels. The breakfast was in the restaurant and there was a good variety of food, the coffee machine delivered a good cup. The staff at reception were curtious and helpful. The garden area was very well kept. U

The bar area was where we were served our dinner, it was cold and the seating not very comfortable. The menu was what I would expect in a casual dining cafe. It could be that as it was Sunday that there was no restaurant open but that was not said to us then. It was only on Monday morning that we realised that there was a proper restaurant in another room where breakfast was served.

Easy to find off motorway. Lovely clean pool open when staying in September. Staff very pleasant. Good WiFi.

A little tired looking in places but understand been done up at present. The food obtions let it down,went for cafeteria special club sandwich meal on arrival but were told not available till 8.30 pm. Returned to restaurant at 8.30pm but we got fed up waiting even though we were the only guests and went outside of hotel to eat. Breakfast was chaotic as had a couch party in and finding it hard to replenish choices.

Large room with comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom with large whirlpool bath. Robes a nice touch, but we stayed during a heatwave so did not use them. Good air-conditioning kept the room comfortable. Good choice at breakfast. Secure underground parking, worth paying the fee. Excellent pool, with plenty of sunbeds. Close enough to city centre to be able to walk there.

Unfortunately, there was a music bar crossing the street and our room stayed directly from them, so too much noise at the beginning of the night. I know that inconvenience was not under the Hotel management but you need to take it into account if you want to stay in there, apart from that amazing stay.

Staff were exceptional! All our needs were met included when we asked for assistance with our rooms. Breakfast was great. Location is not bad with a 30-min walk to city centre. Overall, very happy!

Loved the swimming pool! The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was also very good. It was outside the old town, but we just walked it!

The bathtub/shower was quite slippery. I think bathmats should be made available, especially for older guests.
