The overall experience was great. Probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in throughout the world in over 50 years of travelling. Likewise the staff were really excellent , friendly and helpful. Willing to have a conversation and interested in their guests. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Exceptional service! The hotel staff truly go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. In our case, this was clearly demonstrated when an issue arose: the air conditioner in our room wasn't working, and we had to move to another room. The matter was handled with great care and professionalism, and it was clear that the staff took it seriously. We were also offered appropriate compensation, reflecting the hotel's commitment to high service standards. Special thanks to Mr. Saviot, the Front Office Manager, for his outstanding support.

On the downside, I can only mention the hotel's small gym, which was a bit disappointing. I hope it will be improved in the future.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were welcoming and helpful. I liked it so much that I’ll almost certainly book another in the group either in Paris or Antibes/Nice at some stage

The wifi in my room was a bit patchy. The staff gave me a present to make up for this as I was checking out even though I wasn’t complaining! This is why I haven’t taken a star away!

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were lovely, comfortable and clean. Location was excellent. We thought it was also really nice having turn down service especially post COVID where that is normally not offered anymore.

For our room the WiFi was a bit patchy

We had a wonderful stay here, as soon as we arrived we felt relaxed as the staff were so amenable. In particular, Romain, introduced us to the property and was a friendly face, extremely helpful with advice and very professional. Our car was taken straight to the valet parking, a luggage trolley was provided and the check in was seamless. This was the same when leaving. Our room was beautifully decorated, a lovely message left by the manager to welcome us as it was our honeymoon. We loved the bar area and enjoyed talking to Quentin, the friendly and fun barman. Overall it was a superb place to stay and we would definitely return.

It was a little expensive - however we stayed in the height of summer and it was worth the extra expense.

This beautiful hotel is in a prime location in the heart of the city center, easily accessible to restaurants and sights. The hotel staff members were pleasant and helpful.

We did not sleep well on the first night because the room was hot even with adjusting the thermostat. We reported it to the front desk staff and were told the whole hotel was still on heater but they were able to fix our room temperature to a more comfortable level. Our friends in the adjoining room had the same problem and when they reported it to the front desk, they were told no adjustments can be made. So, they did not sleep well and had to open the windows to let the cool breeze in. Unfortunately, the street noise kept them awake too.

Everything, room was very large with 2 bathrooms and wonderful. AC was strong and consistent, WiFi was strong and connected, breakfast was great, staff super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay with you more than at the Hotel de Palace in Biarritz

Nothing. But let anyone know who wants to go to a gym outside the hotel, that all are not opened to non members when they say they are. And the coffee cups in the rooms are too small to take the volume of coffee the machine extrudes leaving a huge mess each time used

Brilliant staff, beautiful hotel, great breakfast, and Madam B that is part of the hotel has amazing chef, so dinner is also yummy! Staff.. Just made all great, really. To tell you that we were leaving the hotel before breakfast and lady at reception made us sandwiches and put some cakes for us so we have something on the way to airport. I was just amazed with people working there and how thoughtful they were all the time.

Pressure in the shower is the only thing that was annoying as it drops so much that you can hardly take a shower, but still.. It is brilliant place to stay!

Fabulous location on the edge of the commercial centre which is all pedestrianised. The hotel is walking distance to the cathedral and the opera although we went on an insanely hot day so 15/20 minutes in the sun was harder than normal. The suite we booked was comfortable and, as we travelled with our 12 year old son, we used the lounge area as his sleeping quarters. The staff came in at 1830 to make his bed up so we could benefit from the lounge throughout the day. There were thick curtains to offer the bedroom and the lounge area privacy which we don’t often experience when travelling as a family of three. We have a 12 year old so he also enjoyed the privacy these afforded. Booking a suite also means that without additional cost you can book the private cinema which we did. We couldn’t get our app working but did stream ‘fast and furious x’ (not our normal choice of movie I might add but good for our son) through our Netflix account (don’t forget to logout when you have finished) and seated on one of the sofas with feet on footstools, us three enjoyed the cinema in comfort while the sounds of cars skidding on tarmac rebounded around the cinema. I would imagine the space would comfortably seat 30 people so, with drinks in hands we felt very decadent. The staff made all the difference. The front desk staff were excellent and greeted us on our very early arrival with ‘your room is ready’ always a wonderful thing to hear, but also went on to explain everything we needed to know with warmth and charm. Our server in the restaurant for lunch was attentive and the same server at breakfast came to tell our 12 year old the potatoes were replenished, much to our sons delight. The woman behind the bar who served our drinks and helped to set up the cinema experience with her colleague was friendly and charming and as a result of our conversation we are determined to visit Reunion. All in all a comfortable and pleasant experience with some highlights.

The only thing I wasn’t keen about about the room was the separate toilet (took us a little while to locate behind the entry door to the suite) with no sink in the room.

The welcome at the reception team was very professional, friendly and well trained. I used to train staff pharmaceutical industry and can therefore spot when a team has been trained well. The team speaks several languages, including Scandinavian, English, Portuguese, German. The common areas are fabulous. We have stayed in a number of hotels in Bordeaux. Most often the rooms are relatively small and the common areas are tiny. At Burdigala the common space is large and divided into several smaller areas for intimacy. The location is perfect. We commuted from the airport by tram, which is a few minutes away from the hotel.

Perhaps a bit more fruit at breakfast would ave been nice. Otherwise absolutely nothing to improve. The staff had been trained very well.
