This lovely hotel is located just outside the entrance to the tiny old town of Pienza, with a variety of restaurants, bars and elegant shops at its doorstep (as well as its own decent restaurant). It has a large underground parking, making it a convenient basis for tours in the area, which is one of the most beautiful in Toscana. As I remembered from a previous visit several years ago, the rooms, or rater suites, are huge, comfortable and very clean (in fact, my bathroom was more spacious than some of the rooms I've stayed at in other hotels). Breakfast is ample, with good, strong coffee and a large selection of sweet and savory items. Service is kind and helpful. All in all - very nice!

The scrambled eggs at breakfast were never warm enough - surely something can be done about it. The bath tub is very tall, which is a bit tricky - some safety handles would be handy. The decor in the restaurant is a bit gloomy - perhaps it's time to refresh it a little.

The location was excellent, literally a few minutes walk into the beautiful town and also by foot into the spectacular surrounding UNESCO world heritage countryside. Very stylish hotel with a comfortable room. Pet friendly and very welcoming for pets too. Parking was available below the hotel and was very convenient. Breakfast was excellent and there is a restaurant in the hotel although please see note below.. we loved the the hotel and our two night stay and would return!

Although the restaurant was good the menu was not to our taste. It was mostly red meat dishes. However, the staff and chef very kindly adapted one of the pasta dishes to a more simple vegetarian option for us.

Beautiful property and very nice and accommodating staff. The location is perfect. We booked two rooms for our family of five and it was a nice way to give my wife and I some privacy but still feel our kids were safe next door. The restaurant is very good and breakfast is tasty and convenient. The wait staff were also super friendly.

The only ding (if there was one) was the lack of shower curtains in the tub, though, I know that is common in many places in Europe. I guess I just like to take showers without the stress of possibly flooding the bathroom! :)

We arrived early and there was no-one at reception, but we left the car out front and went for a stroll around the old town of Pienza. The hotel has underground parking, which is great-there is a charge for it though. Staff were polite and professional. There was a gift in the room for our dog Daisy and the place was spotless. The room was a good size and very comfy . The open fire in reception was warm and welcoming. The location, just opposite the gates to Pienza did not give the amazing views you would find within the walls, but I imagine that, in high season, it would be lovely to get away from the crowds. The breakfast was good and the dinner in the restaurant was tasty!

We loved this hotel for our stay in gorgeous Pienza. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive; it rained our first day there, and they provided umbrellas so we could still explore. The hotel was very cute, clean, and well-maintained. The location is perfect, right at the entrance to the old city section close to cafes and restaurants. AC and wifi worked very well, and the pool is a great bonus. Their breakfast was pretty standard but solid with plenty of offerings and a beautiful patio for dining.

The only weird thing was the shower; it was a bath tub with a removable shower head but no curtain. It was a little difficult to shower and not soak the floor, especially for kids. But it was such a small thing that it didn't really affect the enjoyment of our stay.

Perfectly located just outside the center of Pienza, San Gregorio is an excellent location for day trips around the region. In three days we explored four towns, did a wine tasting, and enjoyed the vistas - always coming back to the well kept facilities when we were done. The restaurant’s dinner was great, the breakfast buffet was simple, and the pool was beautiful. The staff was exceptionally friendly, kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable, especially Silvia who helped check us in and provided great recommendations of restaurants in Pienza. We cannot wait to come back again in the future.

Upon check in, it’s worth noting that you can pull your car right up to the hotel in a single spot to the side of the door. This wasn’t immediately clear to us when we arrived but it was very useful for loading and unloading luggage.

The location is excellent just outside the historical centre. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was great, comfortable and kept spotlessly clean as was all the hotel. We sat around the pool to read and relax in the sun which was a great addition to the hotel after a day exploring the old town. We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant. We would recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Pienza and would love to return again ourselves sometime in the future.

The staff esp Laura ,Michael and another Concierge who was there were above and beyond helpful with everything I needed and asked for! The support staff were lovely as well. The breakfast was simple and delicious with a variety of options offered and great coffee! Location perfect. The room was bigger than I expected very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property.

I have no complaints.The furnishings could be updated but the old world vibe in and around the property were quaint and in keeping with the towns charming atmosphere.

Lovely property in Pienza. Rooms were great, pool was a nice relief from the heat & the lawn area around the pool was very nice. Great breakfast & lovely staff.

The air conditioning was turned off in the whole building during the day. It seemed to happen at different times each day. Being listed as having air conditioning I would expect it to be available in your room all day.

Best place to stay at in Pienza and all around! The hotel is beautiful! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is the best I’ve seen. I always hate breakfasts in hotels and this one was really good! The rooms were spacious and very clean. And we found free parking around the corner on the left side of the hotel (if you are looking right at the hotel).

The hotel was excellent! Nothing to do with the hotel but we did get a fine because of the parking. Just so people are aware, be sure to read VERY WELL the signs. The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month you can’t park we’re there is free parking around the corner of the hotel because there is a cleaning going on. We didn’t know. We got fined 30€. Just be careful and pay attention.
