Relais Il Chiostro Di Pienza is a hidden gem in the heart of Tuscany! The moment you step in, you’re welcomed by a peaceful, historic atmosphere and one of the most breathtaking views over the Val d’Orcia — absolutely unforgettable. The breakfast was excellent, with a delicious variety of fresh, high-quality options served in a beautiful setting. It was the perfect way to start each day. Between the charm of the old monastery, the elegance of the rooms, and the serene garden terrace, this place truly feels special. A perfect mix of relaxation, beauty, and authentic Tuscan charm.

Need to walk for 5-6 mins to reach the parking lots. No parking no near the hotel as it’s within the traffic restricted area

The infinit written and erase in the sky; the tranquil and peaceful Relais Chiostro di Pienza in the midth of the open earth of Val d’Orcia; a delicately-attended garden; a gazebo to enjoy the starry night; And the kind beautifull lady who is always smiling and helpful... All of these has left indelible sweet memory in my mind. My lady knew we would head to Siena from Pienza, she just kindly printed the bus route for our convenience. If I had the luck to visit Pienza once again, I will bring my family and choose to stay in the warm hotel again, for sure. I don't know whether or not the nice lady will work here any more, but I am looking forward to it ...

The breakfast buffet was very nice with most anything one expects normally at breakfast-eggs, delicious pastries, waffles, fresh fruit & more. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was a lovely experience. Unfortunately the wind was strong and we were unable to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view which is the main reason we made the reservation, but of course they could not help wind and we had a lovely table inside where I could at least look out. Our room had a lovely courtyard view with windows that looked out onto the cobblestone courtyard and our bed was the most comfortable of our entire vacation as it was kingsize and had great support.

Fabulous building and location with evocative remnants of the previous convent including the snake stair rails and courtyard. Lovely room and helpful lady reception staff. Super breakfast. Great central location and lifts for those who have difficulty with stairs. A super choice, delightful!

The pool was fenced off which detracted from the wonderful breakfast area. The young man on reception who when asked if we could order some tea in the courtyard advised us we could make it in our room!

Location is excellent which is in the centre of the town, and also have a good view of the valley when you walk around the hotel court. The view of the valley is just so fantastic and we really enjoy it when we had breakfast/dinner in the hotel court. The breakfast is good and has many choices. The hotel also has a swimming pool and you can have some fun in it especially in this hot weather.

My room is facing the inside and can't view the valley, but this doesn't affect our experience here.

We absolutely loved this beautiful and unique property. It was in the tiny hilltop town of Pienza overlooking gorgeous views of Tuscany. The rooms are situated around a courtyard and there is a pool and patio area with lovely views. We had a room with 2 queen bedrooms separated by a central bathroom. They were bigger than expected. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant located in the property and a wonderful breakfast that was included with our room rate. The town of Pienza is gorgeous. There is a walkway around the perimeter with stunning views. You have to park outside the town and carry your luggage. We packed a small overnight bag so it was easier to carry and we walked from our parking spot. It was a fairly short walk, but someone with mobility issues would not find this an accommodating place to stay. We would love to come back someday!

Position was excellent. Rooms spacious. View stunning. Pool a bonus in the middle of town.

Welcome was poor. Lost paperwork twice and called at 10:30pm to attended reception address there loss. Dinning facilities weren’t hotel owned. Public free to wonder into hotel. Contrast of people in swimwear at pool and people dressed finely for lunch/dinner. Bar closed during afternoon. Restaurant prices very high.

INCREDIBLE location in Pienza, with a superb buffet breakfast and seating with a view of Tuscany - wow! Our family had a great time in the pool (also with the view!), the rooms were large, beds comfortable, and staff kind and helpful. Pienza is a great place to stay for day trips to the surrounding towns. Highly recommend!

Very central.. near all bars and restaurants. Very helpful staff. Reception was lovely. Breakfast perfect.

If you are driving, parking is fine, free in some areas, and easy to find if you follow your information from the hotel. We got a parking fine but only because we didn't know that rubbish collection was taking place that night...so make sure if you are parking overnight this won't affect you. The parking fine was approx €30 which we were able to pay at the post office.

The staff was excellent and friendly, accommodating last minute requests. The dinner was the best meal of the trip. Pici, a local pasta with pecorino cheese and shaved truffles, and the BEST sautéed spinach of my entire life! (I enjoy a lot of spinach at home and while traveling!) Also, the view from the dining tables was spectacular!

Not any complaints. I would say the breakfast was very good but not as great as others I have had throughout Italy.
