The cabin (chata) is quite old-school, but we just loved it there. The location is just perfect for skiing (or hiking) holidays - you are basically on the slope. Half board is included (buffet breakfast and two courses (soup + main course) dinner). You can borrow the towel (5EUR deposit).

You need to be prepared that the rooms are quite simple - beds, and that's it pretty much. If you come here for outdoor activities, it is all you need - if you come for a luxurious spa experience - I suggest trying something else. You need to park in the valley (10EUR/day) and take a lift uphill - if you miss the last lift, you are ****.

The accommodation is situated in a very nice area of Low Tatras, under the mountain Chopok, just a few steps from a Cable Car. Staying there was like returning to 1980 :-), good value for money. Basic rooms with simple beds and a sink in the room, and shared toilets and showers on each floor. The deposit for the room key is taken with the check-in of 20 euros, and the towels are available for a deposit of 5 euros per towel. Friendly staff, nice and tasty food - for dinner, they have prepared ready meal so no option to chose from the menu... The breakfast was buffet-style. The car park is situated at the bottom cable car station and costs 10 euros per day. There was a nice panoramic view from the dinning area. There is no option to get to the accommodation by standard car, The Cable car station is basically a step from the hotel entrance.. Easy access: ski in, ski out. Guests can use the storage area for skis and snowboards, and ski boots can be stored in the communal area next to the reception, where there are available racks for boots next to the heaters.

Great location for skiing. Simple but clean and comfortable accommodation. The dinner is OK, the breakfast is outstanding. The staff is all young, very friendly and helpful. They speak good English. This isn't a 5 star hotel, but a tourist hostel. If you are OK with that, this is a really comfortable place to stay. If you look for a hotel, than this is not your place.

Can be little noisy in the evening when people walk around the floors. Common toilets could be renovated.

You need to prepare that this will not be your 4 star stay in a mountain hotel. The accommodation is mainly used by schools on school trips and it is basic but perfect enough for a proper ski trip vibe with a disco bar and pool/ football table. The room was clean. Also the breakfast selection is huge.

The bathroom needs a bit of more cleaning and towels would be handy.

bathtubs were clogged . After repair, water came up through the floor drain. in several rooms with musty and mouldy hallways along the edges. Many drunken guests and very noisy. In an Underground bar, some man were take off their underpants. It was disgusting.

Great simple old fashioned hospitality. You won't get luxury or spa treatment, but if you come to ski and have a good meal for breakfast and dinner, this is the place for you. In the middle of the mountain az 1500 m-s right at the ski slopes.

This hotel exceeded my expectations based on the bad reviews we saw when we booked it. The room/facilities were clean, there was always toilet paper/soap, the breakfast and dinner was delicious and filling, the prices for drinks were moderate. I’d recommend this place for youngsters mostly as it can be quite loud during the night or just make sure you have earplugs. Otherwise the location is amazing, the view from the hotel is breathtaking. I was really positively surprised and pleased.

It was a nostalgic trip to the past for my Slovak girlfriend, back to socialist times. It was a nice lively place, easy to meet people. It is right on the slopes, 2m from the gondola. The food was good.

Booking.com does not inform in the property description that the place is not accessible by car, only by the ski lift. We arrived later in the evening after lifts were closed, but we were lucky when one of the lifts maintenance guy took us up by a scooter. :) Also note, there are no towels in the rooms, bring your own. And 1 small bottle of water costs 2,50 EUR.
