I stayed at Hotel Bachledka Strachan with my girlfriend for four days, and it turned out to be an amazing ski trip. The location couldn’t have been better—it’s directly next to the ski lift, which made our time on the slopes so much easier and more enjoyable. We were able to maximize our time skiing without the hassle of long walks or drives, which was perfect. A true highlight of our stay was the hotel’s wellness area. After an exciting day on the slopes, we loved relaxing in the saunas, swimming in the pool, and unwinding in the salt cave. The unique room with swings was also a nice addition that enhanced the peaceful atmosphere. We spent a lot of time there and appreciated the thoughtfulness in the design and overall ambiance. The hotel staff were exceptional—always friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. They even signed us up for their rewards club, which was a thoughtful bonus. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay, and their attentiveness really contributed to making our experience even more memorable. We chose a larger room for an additional fee, and it was worth it. The spacious layout and the balcony with a breathtaking view of the ski slope added so much to our experience. I would recommend upgrading to a larger room, as it made our stay even more enjoyable. One charming and unique feature of the hotel is their signature spirit, Strachanovica, which added a special local flavor to the experience. We also ordered dinner to our room one evening, which was a very pleasant experience. The food was beautifully presented, and dining in the comfort of our room felt like a real treat. While the surcharge for room service felt a little high, considering how much we ordered and how many of the hotel’s services we used during our stay, I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the final bill was.

A few minor improvements could be made. I was surprised that a 4-star hotel didn’t provide toothbrushes and toothpaste in the room, although we could purchase them at reception. The slippers were of low quality, as both pairs tore during our stay. We booked through Booking, so we missed the free ski passes advertised on the hotel’s website. Next time, we’ll book directly. The parking lot was small but sufficient, and we appreciated the free electric car charging. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, but we had to grab the cutlery and napkins a few times as not all tables were fully set.

The bedroom was a bit small & difficult to walk around the bed. The spa was gorgeous but from a certain time (I think 5pm?) it was compulsory to be naked there. This is a very unusual and bizarre requirement, which was very off putting & rather disrespectful - not everyone is naturally comfortable with it (some of us had ie breast cancer & the unpleasant consequences) & the welcome command displayed at the spa entrance “get out of your comfort zone” seems a bit rude! - we chose the hotel exactly for quite the opposite experience - to get in a comfort zone & enjoy luxury- not to get stressed & be told how to/ or not to enjoy our time … we would be quite happy with this to be optional but compulsory nakedness is a bit of a fascist approach to relaxation. Disappointing.

Nice hotel for those who are looking quiet. Place , the spa is amazing, and breakfast is good . There are many options . Dinner was good .i haven't a car so they help me to get to the bus station. That was so nice . Thank you . There was no air conditioning, so the thing was a little annoying Well, they helped bring a little fan . But that's wasn't enough. The room was not as I expected, so it was a disappointing thing. I thought i would get a room with an open balcony, but the balcony It was like a basement. Disappointment. The location is perfect near caplecar. That was awesome .

The Spa zone was really nice and well equipped. The room and the hotel in general were nice, cozy and clean. Nice staff and good food at the restaurant.

The hotel didn’t offer a toaster or boiled eggs for breakfast. Additionally, the staff member responsible for making pancakes and omelets had limited English proficiency, making it difficult to communicate, which caused delays in getting exactly what was required. The standard room has a minibar but doesn’t have a coffee machine or even a kettle. The good thing is that a kettle was provided upon request

The hotel is located in a valley at the bottom of the ski slopes. The environment is quiet and the view of the surrounding mountains is beautiful. The family hotel provides guests with impeccable service. The staff takes care of the perfect rest. The restaurant and the wellness area are also of a high standard.

There are only a few houses around the hotel, so it will not be optimal for those who like city life. The services bring the European standard, but this is also reflected in the prices.

The hotel had a good location, right beside the chair lift to the Treetop walk. It has good car parking across the road from the entrance. The room was clean and comfortable, spacious and airy with a nice bathroom which had a jacuzzi bath. The pool is nice too. The restaurant is good, both for dinner and breakfast, with a good spread and attentive staff. Finally, you might meet Bertha, their resident Burmese mountain dog..

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel with my family! The kitchen exceeded our expectations with its delectable culinary offerings. Additionally, the wellness facilities were a true highlight of our trip. The combination of the exceptional kitchen and the relaxing wellness amenities made our stay truly memorable. Service of the hotel staff was also above expectations especially in restaurant. We can't wait to return!

An additional fee was charged for a cot, and though the price was not expensive, we didn't even use it for our 8-month-old child.

The hotel's attention to details is simply astonishing, every where you look you find something more. The spa is great, clean and has good options ranging from jacuzzi, steam room, saunas & even a salin room. Beds are comfortable and we had a pretty big balcony with views over the mountains. Breakfast has good options & we even had live piano which was amazing.

The least favorite thing was the lack of information in any other languages than Slovenian on the massage list/ touristic brouchure/ room information . The staff had poor English as well, missing our orders & unable to understand our requests all the time. Also it would be nice to see some rules reinforced in the spa area regarding loudness and behavior.

We had a brilliant stay. The hotel was lovely, comfortable rooms, relaxing wellness area. But the best thing was the amazing lady at reception - we came without a car not releasing you really need one to get around. She gave us great tips to explore the local area, helped with transportation and was overall so genuinely kind and helpful - she made our stay so much more enjoyable, thank you.

The location - right on the side of a mountain with a lift next to it to go up and enjoy the treetop walk. The hotel itself is very nice, well maintained and the personell is excellent! We tried the restaurant and the food was great. The spa area is split in 2 parts - pools for everyone and relax zone for adults.

I would go back here again and again - we loved it! Just keep in mind that the restaurant is bit more expensive than average. Also to note - the spa area for relaxing is strictly no swimsuite zone. It was lovely, but a bit strange for us.
