The hotel is very elegant and beautiful. All the employees were very helpful and nice. Breakfast was great, anything you can think of, very diversified. The location is excellent, right in the center, close to the river and all the cafes and restaurants and nice shops (plus the market). We only used the bus once but it was very easy (ticket can be purchased with any type of card directly on the bus). The room was comfortable, big enough, and very clean, including the generous bathroom. All in all it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

It's hard to find something wrong with this hotel. I mentioned breakfast was very diversified. The only problem was their coffee machines. One was good, the other one produced some questionable tea-like coffee... And eventually, either one or the other broke. The only other aspect that I did not quite like was the bed, specifically the very tall mattress (I always had the impression I was sliding off the bed at any moment) and the pillows which were too thick and soft, which is why my hair looked like Woody Woodpecker every morning. I am used to memory foam pillows, which are better for me personally. Also, the toilet was attached to the wall (instead of the floor), which gives me anxiety... However, these are minor issues. As a whole, the experience in this hotel was amazing.

The hotel is clean, well-organized, and the location is absolutely perfect. On our first day, Tara was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There was also a staff member at the restaurant (I believe he was originally from India) who was kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious, and the staff were kind enough to arrange an extra bed for my young daughter upon request That said, there are a few small things that could be improved: • It was a bit surprising that the swimming pool required prior booking. • Breakfast hours on weekends could be extended by at least one hour. • The coffee in our room wasn’t refilled on the second day. • On check-out day, the front desk staff were rather cold. I spoke with a staff member named Anna about a parking issue, and even after repeating myself, she kept saying she didn’t understand. Honestly, it’s not the guest’s job to explain hotel procedures to the staff. • I also felt that the reception team today could have been more professional in how they handled guests. Overall, it was a good stay, and I hope the hotel takes these points into consideration to enhance the experience further.

Everything. It is an historical hotel at the best location in Ljubljana with excellent facilities, elegant and charming. We had a large room with street view, clear, clean, a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with a very good walk-in shower. The restaurant serves excellent food at the best prices. The best is the staff, professional, kind, helpful. Special mention deserves Mr. Dejan Tomislav at the Reception Desk, very professional, kind and helpful, but also a very friendly person and very knowledgeable of everything I asked about the city. In my opinion, excellent at his position. I do recommend to stay in this hotel.

False advertising of wellness center; The property sent me a welcome email mentioning , among other things ,a COMPLIMENTARY hot tub with a view that could be reserved if available , when I asked for a reservation they wanted to charge 175 euros . I showed them the message at the front desk and instead of making it happen as advertised , they asked me if my reservation was made by BOOKING , and when I confirmed it they said that then it was BOOKING’s mistake . This is unfortunate since I had enjoyed my stay until that point but I really dislike being cheated on.

Fantastic location - superb spa and pool great service from the front of house team , housekeeping team and in the restaurant. Slovenia is an amazing place - excellent food , wine , history and breathtaking sights …. and the Slovenians are lovely ! ❤️

The heating system was poor - far too hot in the bedroom and it was impossible to turn off or down despite asking for help even the staff couldn’t work it out and suggested opening a window- which we did but the noise from below at night with late night drinkers was horrendous so consequently we did not sleep well window open or closed - such a shame as everything else was perfect!

The hotel is beautiful, spacious and has a distinct style, not the usual all white Ikea stuff. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. Our dog was not only allowed, but very welcomed and she also loved the hotel. We even got a room upgrade, since it was my birthday! The breakfast is to die for, they serve champagne and there were gluten free options every morning (separately packed). We parked in the garage next to the hotel, and there were no issues. The location is perfect, you really are in the city centre and can walk everywhere.

Everything was excellent and we are already planning our next time in this hotel, since we did not have time to try out the Spa!

Location, room size and breakfast were brilliant

We were checking out to then drive on to the airport for our return flight home only to find a car parked in the middle of the hotel car park blocking any access to our car and blocking the car being able to get out. The reception staff told us they couldnt help and to go and see the other reception desk on the other side of the hotel. Whilst the situation was resolved (a valet had parked the offending car) we were delayed in leaving and the staff seemed to just find it funny. Given the time pressures i would have expected staff to be more helpful and sympathetic

The location to town and all areas worth seeing was amazing. One minutes walk away! The room was a big size and well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful with the option of sparkling wine to start the day!! What could be better? A well positioned historical hotel that was a lovely stay.

The lifts to the pool were out of action when we stayed which meant a bit of a walk to the next hotel to go up their lifts. The water heating was also being worked on when we were there so the last morning we had little hot water. They were also working on the electricity one night which meant the lights came on at about 1am and then a bit later, waking us up and making us get up to turn them all off. The reservation desk was often under staffed too, making the wait for service a bit lengthy at times.

Our rooms met or exceeded our expectations -- one of them was upgraded to an extra-spacious room with a couch and desk, and both of them were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the location, a block from Prešeren Square and the Triple Bridge in the heart of Ljubljana, couldn't have been better. We parked our car at the hotel garage, which is just outside the pedestrian-only heart of the city, and only moved it once for a day trip.

This is a wonderful hotel with exceptional staff. The decor is restored well and has a real sense of grandeur. The beds and rooms were comfortable. We booked two types of room for our group and the prestige rooms are definitely worth it. The hotel shares facilities such as the swimming pool and spa and the parking area with the hotel next door, but that works well. Breakfast is very varied with plenty of healthy options. Reception and cleaning staff polite and helpful.

The swimming area is a little understaffed which led to some bad behaviour directed at my children from some groups of guests.
