Perfect location! Five minute walk to the bus/train station and 10 minute walk to the old city! We enjoyed a delicious Slovenian meal at Stari Tišler patio inner courtyard restaurant. room was very quiet, beds comfortable, air conditioning was very much appreciated during the steamy hot summer temperatures . Lots of tourist information at front desk as well as a book lending library. Breakfast is fresh continental style with homemade pastries. Property is incredibly safe since you have to use your room key to pass through four entrances in the evening hours..

Since it’s an old property, there is no elevator so if you have a heavy suitcase, you may have trouble negotiating the winding staircase up to your room.

This is lovely spot full of character and charm. Rooms are simple and comfortable and all is super clean and tidy. In 40 degree July heat,. the air conditioning also worked wonders. The courtyard is a lovely space for breakfast, coffee or just reading and relaxing. The restaurant offers excellent authentic Slovenian cuisine and is frequented by locals at lunch and dinner, which is always a good sign. The staff are lovely and helpful and the location is central for exploring Ljubljana or heading off by train or bus to the lakes and hills of this gorgeous country.

Very close to the bus and train station. Nice, historical building with a cozy and clean room. The breakfast was in a different area of the building, so you have to go outside to enter the breakfast area. Several options, loved the homemade desserts. The staff was very kind and helpful.

We arrived on a Sunday and their restaurant was closed for the entire day. The second day it was the 30 and apparently the 30th of each month they have the restaurant opened only until 5pm (so basically you cannot have dinner). Could plan a bit better or communicate this in the description, they advertise like it's available all the time for lunch and dinner.

Lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. Really delicious breakfast with a wonderful choice. Excellent location close to the station and not far down to the main city. It's a beautiful old building steeped in history which was really cool to stay in.

We were a bit disappointed we didn't get to have an evening meal there due to a collective holiday. I had asked about booking an evening meal when I booked back in May but didn't receive a response. It would have been nice to know as this was our main reason for choosing this place.

It had character. The reception staff were helpful. Very short walk to bus and train station, and within easy reach of the old town. Pleasant courtyard space.

Our room had no view at all, except for a facing wall less than a metre away. The shower, wifi and air conditioning were all OK though. The bar and restaurant were closed on the weekend, which is both peculiar and in our case inconvenient. Also the buffet breakfast was in some respects limited - no fresh coffee, fruit juice from concentrate and no black tea except Earl Grey.

Stari Tišler is an old house with history – it should be treated as such; it’s not a hotel with a cold, modern design. The owners and staff are very kind people, always ready to help and provide advice, and they make excellent coffee. The breakfasts were sufficient, though more or less the same every day, but with a diverse selection that allows guests to mix and match according to their taste. The location is also great, as the guesthouse is just a few minutes away from the train station (and near the best burek in town).

During our first stay, our room was OK, but during the second stay, we had a slanted window facing the street, so as soon as it started raining, we had to close it. That would have been just a minor issue, but unfortunately, the internet didn’t work very well. It's also important to note that the rooms are on the upper floor, and the building doesn’t have an elevator (it wasn’t a problem for us, but we did see several older guests with problems).

Great location for backpackers. Halfway between the bus/train station and the old town centre. Short walk to the station and river. The guesthouse is in a renovated historic building. Standard buffet breakfast. Coffee was served at the table. Polite and helpful staff. The train departure was in the afternoon, but we could leave our backpacks in storage.

The room was quite small and the slanted window opened directly onto the office building across the road. We stayed at the weekend - when the bar and restaurant were not open.

Excellent location, about halfway between the Old Town and both the bus and train stations. The owner is ever present; she is very hospitable and extremely helpful. My room was small, but clean, with a nice shower and a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet is supposed to be served from 7:30, but it was available as early as 7 AM. The breakfast is very basic, but the food is good.

The TV monitor was small and few channels were available; I could not find the news in either English, French or Spanish. But then again, one does not go to Ljunljana to watch TV.

Great and practical Location, few steps from main bus and train station, close to historical centre - all walking distance. Accommodation is located in not busy side street. Very friendly staff. It is no big hotel, rather Pension (B&B) style, in old traditional house. Great Restaurant with local cuisine direct in house.

Limited evening time for check-in. (could be limited for someone) Roof window (but no big problem for me)

It's at a very convenient location, right between the busiest parts of the center and the bus/train station. It's a simple guesthouse, good for having a hub to spend the night in before continuing your trip activities. Despite the location, the immediate area isn't very loud, and every time I've stayed was rather comfortable. Having breakfast included is also quite nice to have, and it's a fairly standard but still pretty varied selection of breakfast foods.

The yellow lights in the rooms can make the space feel a bit claustrophobic when the days are cloudy and dark, considering the only window is a skylight. Other than that, the main issue was that only a few tables in the cafeteria have salt/pepper shakers, and that the vegetables offered sometimes aren't in the best shape.
