We had an excellent 2-night stay at Hotel Slamic. Our room met expectation, and was quiet, comfortable and well maintained. Access by car was very straightforward… we just used our car navigation. This is a wonderful small city filled with friendly, helpful people. The staff at the hotel are very professional in carrying out their roles. Jernej (Jerry) and Lucija were especially welcoming and provided excellent service and good advice. We appreciated having a safe and secure place to park our car as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The old part of the city is little more than 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. We enjoyed a good dinner in the restaurant on one occasion and were given the name and location of a good restaurant nearby that we visited to our great satisfaction.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Slamic on our recent trip to Slovenia. The location just outside of old town was perfect, on site covered parking was a bonus. We happened to be there on a Friday night so we were able to enjoy Open Kitchen which was quite the scene. Our favorite dinner was at Pri Skofu. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. Slovenia is a beautiful country-wish we had spent one of these nights in the Logar Valley 4 nights in Ljubljana was a lot.

Centrally located and a short walk to the old centre and main rail station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Slamic is located on a quiet side street. Small parking area for clients. The room was fine although we did have to ask for an extra folding luggage rack for our second large luggage so as not to put it on the floor. Staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating. I think my wife set a new record for the number of cappuccinos she had every morning! Breakfast was simple and on point, which each client selects from a room card for the next morning. No waste!!! I've been here before on a motorcycle tour, but this time with my spouse and without motorcycle. Beautiful city. Hotel Slamic is a perfect place to start your adventure.

Parking is always limited in the area, but the in-house parking is tight..

We loved our stay here! The location was great, easy to get to and from and onto the main highways for day trips, but also only a 10 minute walk into the main square to access the old town and river. We used the on site parking which is small but completely secure and safe. The hotel is beautiful with a nice outdoor area and the room was very lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - they will cook you a hot dish to order so it's very fresh and there's also a good selection of buffet items. The staff provided us with some great recommendations.

Everything was fantastic! Every staff member showed exceptional kindness and hospitality. Wish I could have brought them home with me! For example, I asked for hot water from the bar almost every other night and the hot water accidentally splashed on a waiter’s hand. I asked, “Is your hand okay?” He replied, “don’t worry , it’s part of the job.” The breakfast servers were genuinely interested in making sure you enjoyed your meal. Breakfast was delicious and we looked forward to it every morning!

Honestly, it’s hard to find something wrong when an establishment like this goes over and beyond to please their guests. This hotel makes Slovenia even more special and a place we want to return to.

Loved the location, the team were so very helpful and smiley! The property is kept very clean and there are parking facilities. Perfect for a homely first stay in Slovenia. Breakfast was well prepared and the one meal we had at the hotel was nicely presented and tasty.

There are no tea or coffee making facilities included. This is okay until the weekend when the hotel also doesn’t have any self~service facilities. Only tap water is available in the room. Fresh towels appear to be only on request and could be larger. The room was a little noisy in the mornings, the ear plugs supplied suggested this was acknowledged but it would have been better if windows were better sealed. Sadly no late check out availability on the day we left. All things considered though we would definitely stay here again with some small modifications.

It was very clean, close to the city with a great breakfast. They have a smaller parking but it was very good. The location of the hotel is perfect, not too close to the city, so it is very quiet and nice, but not too far so you can walk and it is easy to go to highway so you can visit other places.

The bathroom and toilet are separate, and in the toilet, there is no sink, so you have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands. Toilet paper is placed on the floor.

The room was really comfortable, the bed comfortable and the space available was ample. I was pleasantly surprised by the technology and attention to safety. The bathroom electrical sockets are powered separately only when needed. You can also connect your phone to the bathroom mirror through Bluetooth to listen to music. The thing that struck me most is the attention to avoiding food waste. Breakfast is rich but you have to fill out a list the night before so that only what you need is prepared. At the end of breakfast you realize that there is no waste on the plate: the jam is served in a glass jar to be washed and reused. The butter comes on the saucer and the fruit juice in washable and reusable glass bottles. No plastic or other waste. Just a paper towel. The owners are musicians and the background music is very pleasant. Furthermore, in the evening there are bands that play live in the venue. The hotel is close to the station and close to the central square in the sense that these places can be easily reached on foot. In short, the ideal place to stay in Ljubljana.

Only one detail comes to mind that could be improved: the container for shower detergent and shampoo is placed on the floor but you could try fixing a dispenser to the wall to avoid elderly or sick people having to bend down to take it because there are no holders in the shower.

We so enjoyed the breakfast. A guest orders the a la carte breakfast the evening before. There are many choices and the breakfast was so very well presented when it came to your table. Each item was fresh whether it was a cold item or a hot item. The staff was outstanding, especially the proprietor. Andrej. He was so helpful in suggesting sights to visit and when to go. He accommodated both our check-in and check-out. If we ever visit Ljubljana again, we will for sure stay at Hotel Slamic Ljubljana.

There was no downside to this accommodation. All was well.

The room was fine - traffic noise did not disturb us, due to the double windows. You order breakfast in advance, but can always have another coffee or tea. The best part was the helpfulness of the cheerful staff. They could not have been nicer or gone more out of their way to meet any request. Especially Petra, in reception, who was wonderful.

No lift! Two flights to the first floor. The terrace is nice for drinks or coffee - could be made much more attractive with flowers, nicer furniture, umbrellas etc.
