The staff were excellent. The manager Nonku couldn't have been more helpful and the live-in chef prepared delicious fresh dishes for dinner and breakfast. The property is a multi-million pound residence that has been turned into a boutique hotel and is beautiful. We stayed in the Presidential suite and it was outstanding. Huge, beautifully decorated rooms with a balcony that overlooks the bird sanctuary at the front and a huge seating area overlooking the gardens / tennis courts at the back. The hotel is located in a residential area so is very quiet and also very secure. It is also very close to the airport (15 minutes away) and a complimentary shuttle is provided. The price for the night was excellent value for money.

I think the property would struggle to adequately feed all the guests if all the rooms were occupied. The hotel is in a residential area and I didn't see any restaurants in the vicinity so you have to eat in the hotel. The chef prepared a beautiful dinner but it was only one course (no starter or dessert) and one choice of meal. The bed sheets and pillow cases looked tired and didn't looked laundered well.

We stayed there on our way out of town, and also on our return. The first night was in one of the ordinary rooms, the second night we were upgraded to the presidential suite. Oh gosh, what a difference it made! If your budget allows, definitely rather stay in the larger rooms. Nothing wrong with the standard rooms, but the space and luxury makes such a difference. The fact that you can have dinner in the restaurant and don't have to leave the premise, makes for a more relaxing stay.

The transport that they provide is actually not free, you pay around R350 for the service. The communication around this were not good and it took us much longer to reach the hotel than if we just ordered an uber. The dinner is also quite expensive, very convenient but pricy.

Such a beautiful place! So much effort has gone into creating this gem and it shows in every way. We were welcomed with an upgrade and it was beyond expectations.

The main hostess wasn’t on duty and one of the ladies who stood in for her could do with more training when it comes to customer service. Most of the staff were very professional and had a pleasant attitude except for the one who was standing in for Lungile. She knows herself, I did ask for her name but the intention of this complaint is not to humiliate but rather to rectify any shortcomings so I won’t mention her name here. Management should reiterate the importance of treating customers with the right level of respect.

the location and view felt like a little natural escape in the city, rooms was very spacious and comfortable and all staff were very friendly and helpful and we felt such sense of "welcome".Also we loved the fresh milk in the fridge and the lovely coffee corner in the room with even a rusk! wonderfull stay, the staff really take extra care

The omlettes we had was very yummy, however some of the cut fruit like watermelons looked pretty but wasn't fresh (seemed like cut the day before) resulting in them being sour/off/guie so after first bite i did not continue to eat it, i suggest fruits in a bowl like naartjies,apple that can stay fresher for longer or cut fewer fresh fruit as needed,dont keep leftover cut fruit.I think this is something small that slipped through as the fruit still "looked" fine and could happen to anyone as the rest of the breakfast was well and lovingly prepared

A truly lovely boutique hotel a short hop from Oliver Tambo Airport, to and from which the hotel offers free transfers. I was looking for a nature experience in nice surroundings close to the airport and was not disappointed. The hotel is just gorgeous - beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished to a high standard. The fountain by the swimming pool in the inner courtyard gives a haven-like feel. Super-comfortable king size bed, delicious dinner and breakfast, a wonderful view of the nature reserve lake, delightful staff. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed over the years. I will be back and will make sure to stay longer next time.

Absolutely lovely place, close to the airport (15min drive, you even get picked up by a super friendly driver - the whole process is really uncomplicated, communication via WhatsApp) and therefore ideal for a stopover. Spacious, comfortable, super clean, quiet location, nice garden / pool area, opportunity to go for a walk around the Korsman Conservancy. Staff goes out of their way to make you enjoy every moment of your stay. I also need to comment on the food. After a nice little lunch snack when we arrived, we decided to also have dinner in the hotel and it was hands down the best meal we have had during our whole trip... taste, presentation, all outstanding. Thank you!

I can't say enough good things about this little gem of a hotel near OR Tambo (JNB) airport. With only 10 rooms, it's more like a bed and breakfast that feels like your own personal mansion. Rooms are large and luxurious. Common areas are gorgeous. Staff is friendly and attentive. The small restaurant serves delicious breakfast cooked to order, and a shuttle is provided to and from the airport. The hotel is located across the street from a large lake that doubles as a bird sanctuary, so sunrise is a spectacular treat. Please do yourself a favor and stay here for more than just a layover!

The location was perfect. A short transfer from the airport. Upon arrival we realised we should’ve pre-ordered from the menu that was WhatsApped to us, but even though we didn’t, the chef still accommodated us with an incredible freshly prepared meal. The room was outstanding, we felt like royalty. The staff were incredibly friendly and the next morning we had the most delicious breakfast (again freshly prepared in front of us by the chef).

Nothing, all of it was amazing. If we had to say something, that pre-ordering for dinner is essential.

Excellent, beautifully prepared breakfast.

This is not something that cannot be fixed, I suppose. - the room we stayed in on the ground floor, has a very open bathroom with little privacy. I do not like undressing and doing ablutions in front of anybody else. Only the toilet has a door but otherwise, guests have to undress and dry yourself in front of the mirror inside the room. I rate privacy very high when choosing ablutions.
