Grace Guest house was an absolutely delightful experience. The rooms were nice and cosy - all provided heating on a chilly evening in Joburg. The garden space around the rooms is amazing - the garden a paradise full of so many birds that really elevated the experience. The rooms were characterful and clean with good pressure in the shower!! The breakfast was very tasty and the coffee was delicious. The hosts and staff were incredibly accommodating and most gracious with all requests.

Not a dislike but the rooms are part of a working house so be aware of some minimal noise that comes with that. The cottage could have done with some kitchen roll but was otherwise a lovely little oasis hidden in its own secret garden.

This was our second time staying in the cottage in the grounds of Grace House Guest House. The cottage is a little away from the main house which ensures privacy. It is comfortable and has its own terrace with braai (barbeque). The delicious breakfast included fruits, cereals, yoghurts and cooked options. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. There is a lovely garden with lots of birdlife and a pool.

The breakfast was more than enough with a variety of health options and in good portions. The location is very quite, safe, clean and very serene. The rooms are quite smaller but comfortable enough for good sleep

I was not aware there were alarm systems in the garden and walking late at night could trigger them. My friends I understood were up at dawn walking through the garden. A heads up next time would be great but apart that, we did love the peace and serenity your home did offer. A little cleaning of the pool would be nice.

Spacious suite, enchanting garden, good breakfast, good neighborhood, and friendly and helpful hosts, who are willing to provide insight into life in South Africa.

The location is safe and pleasant, but not within walking distance of anything to speak of. Be prepared to use Uber a lot. For the winter, a little heater in the bathroom would be nice.

This is a very special House, we stayed for 4 nights at the end of our holiday to do bird watching in and around Johannesburg. Kathy and Mark were wonderfully kind and made our stay very comfortable. It is a gorgeous house and gardens full of bird song peace and tranquility. All furnishings are beautiful and bed was so comfortable….. thank you so much

Everything. From the moment we booked, contact was made with us by the host, and their flexibility was amazing. We were held up on the motorway and arrived later than we had planned. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent and warm, and we had an amazing night's sleep! The furnishings were no expense spared. Exceptional quality from the towels to the bedding and furniture. A well equipped kitchenette with everything you could need. Breakfast outside on the private terrace was a surprise treat! The idyllic location with birds singing under the trees was the best breakfast ever! Fabulous, friendly, and relaxed hosts. They are definitely experts in hospitality.

The fact we were only there for 1 night! We will definitely come back and explore the area just so we can stay here longer!

They were very nice, and they got us a cottage with a gate so our dogs could play around undisturbed, thanks for being so considerate. The place was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was good and sufficient.

The place was cold. We could not get hold of them when we called to request more blankets for the sleeper couch. .

Kathy and Mark very Warm and Welcoming. They made our stay quite pleasant. Will recommend the property to anyone and would go back any day. Property is in Brynston but the experience and ambiance is like somewhere in Magalies. Quite secluded and very safe.

Nothing at all. Everything about the property and the owners is on point. Tranquility is Bliss.

My family and I were made to feel very welcome and it was just the break we all needed after having to deal with power and water outages. It's a great spot to recharge and we loved seeing all the different types of birds enjoying feeding time. Breakfast was great, thanks so much to Lisette and her staff for making it a lovely experience!!

Excellent property with great management, best location in Joburg around trees that you can feel like you are in an old forest. Good for short and long stay. WiFi is perfect, breakfast as well. Owner is fantastic and very good talker with great knowledge about the country and its history. It’s always a pleasure to be in such places. It is also a very good monetary deal.
