We got greeted by the most amazing lady Nosipho..she was so helpfull and wow what an awesome experience after dealing with a very long and hard 23hrs. The staff at your in-house restaurant was also amazing, Jackie was so knowledgeable and she knew exactly what to recommend and even offered to get someone to bring it to our room, even though they did not offer room service. We loved every minute, check-out and check-in was effortless and you made our experience one to remember:)

We would recommend more tv channels perhaps, there was also an e channel that had no sound.... we would have loved a bath too... maybe we just did not specify when we booked but other then that the room was very well done:)

We liked that the property was easily accessible and the security at the entrance was strict with uber drivers. Please uphold this. Furthermore, its close proximity to a good hospital helps a lot incase of an emergency.

The hotel has an old touch to it. So we understand the aesthetics however, the carpets tend to hold and retain a lot of moisture, dust and particles which may be hard for people with allergies and asthma.

Overall a very pleasant stay, staff friendly and efficient. Restaurant and menu has certainly improved since my last stay which is great!

It seems whenever there is a housekeeping staff new shift, or on our last night, our room is neglected. The complimentary coffee and Soaps are just not replenished. Not sure if the staff have an attitude, "oh well it's their last night" or not. This happened on our last stay and again this time, --- seems to be a pattern which is a little disappointing.

The location is great, it's the second time I was there. The place was recommended by my partner. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This isn't a big issue, but I just wish that City Lodge Hotel Bryanston could get smart TVs in their rooms. I'm not sure what the other City Lodge Hotels look like, but if they could add that then they will always have a customer in me.

We booked the hotel for its proximity to the Sandton Medi Clinic. The hotel was perfect in almost every way . However we did not eat there. The stand out to us was the attitude of the staff towards guests. They went above and beyond to assist and their cheerful friendly attitude was a real example as to how guests should be treated.

We thought the carpeting in the passage and room was dated.

Friendly staff, location, the fact that the hotel has back up electricity in the event of load shedding, great breakfast,cleanliness. The manager Eugene is very attentive to his guests, friendly and helpfull. Miamie in reception is very helpful and efficient. Maggie keeps up the cleanliness and even Thomos the guard on duty is friendly. All in all a well run, friendly base for us in Johannesburg, having moved to KZN, but still needing to do business in JHB occasionally. Thanks to all who always make our stay pleasant.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. It has a pleasant seating area overlooking a pool. The lunch menu is actually really good. Plenty to eat, really well cooked steak and well presented. Breakfast buffet too was really good.

Check-in was a bit random. The staff member didn't seem to have a clue about my booking (through bookings.com) and I had to confirm the price with him on my phone before finalizing the check-in. It was just a sticky and unclear as to what was actually going on. A booking through booking.com with a group like City Lodge should literally be the most seamless experience. The desk clerk perhaps was new but he wasn't the most pleasant to deal with. The shower pressure could have been better too. The TV channel availability was fine, except the quality of the TV and I suspect the DSTV signal wasn't good.

Good day, so I landed very early and my check-in time was at 2pm so the lady at the reception was a darling to help me out with my room card, the room was clean, neat and smelling fresh. The staff was very friendly and respectful. The food was nice too. Beautiful swimming pool chill area with a garden.

The soap etc was not replenished every day even though we had run out of soap, and the shower mat was taken away and not replaced, needing us to use a hand towel on the floor. We didn't receive any milk, cremora or sugar at our coffee station on both mornings, just tea and coffee, so you either drank it black unsweetened or not at all, which was rather disappointing,

Conveniently close to St Stitians school for the sporting events. I enjoyed the lounge dining room area, and had a lovely pizza supper. The breakfast buffet looked amazing but sadly that was not included, so as a single guest paying R1020 a night, I think breakfast could have been included in the price. I actually thought breakfast was included when I booked. Those that had the buffet breakfast loved it, but at around R160 (I cant remember the exact price) , it was not worth it for me as dont eat meat so probably would just have had the scrambled eggs. All staff are nice. Love the outside pool courtyard area. Hope to be back there next year.
