From arrival in the car park, to departure process the staff were superbly supportive, well mannered and professional. The rooms (garden wing) are lovely, and being able to sit out a boon. Brekky is sumptuous, well laid out and delightfully decadent! We have stayed a few times in the recent past couple of years ... its a lovely hotel. We enjoyed a wander in the gardens and visit to the bird garden. We will be back early in 2026!

Only one thing continues to plague ... awful wifi in the garden wings (we have stayed both sides). There is little excuse for this, but even loading a website was 'Mission impossible'. It needs to be resolved as whether we like it or not - reality demands good connectivity, & it is attainable! Please 🙏.

I have been staying here for years as it was a calm comfortable hotel in nice grounds and quality bedding and most of all feels safe Great staff and best swimming pool in Africa.

It appeared my last two stays has been taken over by families with children that they think is a playground and I assume their culture inhibits them from parenting. The noise from the breakfast area is not relaxing anymore I upgraded my room as I had inadvertently booked a smoking room and it was on the ground floor ..so was unable to have the doors open to allow fresh air in the room while sleeping

Friendly welcome by reception staff. Breakfast was good Buffet with good selection of cold and warm foods. Also possibility to order something else from a menu. Conveniently close to all the activities, shows and restaurants at Monte Casino. Rooms and especially the bathroom need a revamp. Granite in bathroom stil beautiful but bath is very small and old, shower and floor tiles also very old. Rooms are too pricey and a bit of a let down . Our one towel had a huge red orange suspicious looking stain on it. How does Housekeeping miss something like that?

Safe location, close to a lot of restaurants in the casino. Breakfast very good, and hotel staff attentive and efficient. Nice hotel for celebrating a special occasion.

The cleaning trollies are damaging the beautiful wallpaper in the hallways which gives a dated and uncared for feeling. We were also not comfortable with the spa services operating from a canopy closed with curtains, at the swimming pool. For the price, we expected better, at least a dedicated spa area in a building. We cancelled our reservations for 2 massages due to this reason.

We had our family of six traveling and this was our last night of a 20 day vacation. We wanted to end our magical trip on a grand scale this the Palazzo Hotel delivered. From the grounds (and excellent security) to the spacious rooms to the beautiful decorations to the amazing staff, this hotel was an excellent choice for us. The concierge services were also excellent, assisting with a large, last minute dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant and arranging transport for us too.

Normally I can find several things to say that could be better, but this was simply a first class operation and our experience was similarly first class.

the location is superb with monte casino just next door - great for a family stay with all the appropriate entertainment for you to chose from, plus so many superb dining options. I loved that the breakfast was a buffet but also with the option of ordering your eggs a la carte. The housekeeping lady did a great job ( i forgot to ask her name) but she was the same person throughout our stay and she paid great attention to detail. The porters and the team at the main door were also exceptional. Always nice and welcoming and eager to assist.

It is a bit put-offish when you are asked to pay a deposit for any extras (which you might not even have) at the point of check-in. in my opinion, just take the credit card details and then charge later if there is actually something to be charged. I did not like that feeling as it is quite offensive for me. The room, though clean and nice, was a bit too small for that price. if I compare it to Riboville for example, the latter was exceptional.

It was clean and very comfortable, staff was very attentive and professional especially at the restaurant. Breakfast was superb.

The sink in the bathroom had a leak and also received a bill in the middle of the night under the door for bar refreshments that we never had🤔 however on check out told them that was incorrect and they were happy to just shrug it off…still curious why the bill was made in the 1st place.

They need a better bar. n actual distinct bar. The current bar in terms of where it is, size, etc seems like an afterthought when the hotel was being designed and constructed. A nice intimate, cozy bar would be great and not a clinical drinking shop which it is atm. It is frankly unappealing why is probably it is almost always devoid of customers who go elsewhere.

Loved the "royal" feeling of the decor. Loved the fact that they have the whole top floor of smoking rooms, something that one NEVER comes across! Gardens are just stunning. So easy to get to the casino and restaurants section, either via a walkway or a short golf cart ride.

Sadly, the wallpaper in the corridors to the rooms has taken a beating and looks very scrappy in some areas. We had lunch at the Medeo restaurant in the hotel. Ordered the starter mussels, which were so tiny and overcooked.
