The quiet, the maturity of the hotel and the awesome staff. The room was beautiful, comfortable and luxurious . The plunger coffee in room was delicious. Everything we needed for an over night stay was fantastic . Our check in host was friendly and welcoming . He explained all we needed to know and wished us a pleasant evening out to Sunbet Arena . Ps . Don’t even bother going to Sunbet area for dinner before a show . Rather stay and have dinner at Rasmus. Or check out was seamless and he looked forward to welcoming us back for another stay in the near future which was really special.

No vegan option for breakfast offered BUT…… the chef came to see me and sorted that out very quickly / I should have mentioned this when I booked so thank you Chef for organising something quickly. I know it comes at expense but we would have loved to stay longer if there was a small pool and coffees or beverages served outside.

Beautiful venue. Top class. Dinner and breakfast exceptional. Will come again.

They had a 50th Birthday function in the dining area till early hours in the morning. The reception did inform us about it but only on the day and said it should be finished by 11pm but it carried on. We didn’t hear much noise once we were in our rooms though so it was okay. Lucky we had plans to go out that evening so didn’t have to have dinner there. Otherwise venue is super and beautiful surroundings from the dining area.

Beautiful setting, stunning room, well-equipped with attention to detail. The restaurant was fabulous, ate dinner twice there and both times were superb. Breakfast options very limited, but still very tasty. I loved the staff, attentive and professional in a relaxed sort of way, handling everything from check-in to luggage to restaurant service comfortably in their stride. Special compliments to Joe, the chef, for his warm mannerism and huge smile!

Really just a few small things…turning off the very busy road into the property is challenging and the driveway is in poor condition. Signage not very visible at night. Room patio furniture was broken so sitting there not possible.

The rooms were very spacious and well decorated. Check in was very speedy which was appreciated as we only arrived at 22h00. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and we enjoyed the breakfast. Would definitely book again.

The aircons in the rooms were not big/ strong enough to cool down the room adequately. One small issue was that there was nowhere to plug your phone charger in next to your bed, there was only one plug point and that was for the lamp.

The Staff were very friendly and kind.

For our Breakfast sitdown at 07h00 there was only one waitress, we told Reception staff the previous day with check- in that we have to leave by 7h25 the next morning for an appointment, so that they can at least assist with our Breakfast order for the nexr morning. We were told there should be no problem if we are down at 07h00, by 07h18 nobody even took our tea/coffee order or even tried to assist with our Breakfast order.... There was only 3 other guests sitting down so we left the lodge with any drinks or meals....... The reason we chose this lodge in the first place was because the rate included Breakfast

Professional staff and the farm like surroundings. The koi pond is a winner. The history off the spook huis was continued in this new building also the location close to R21 and also clise to very nice shops. The biggest plus is no foreign gods on the premises in the form of statues.

Very difficult to find if you dont know where it is or if you are not familiar wirh the erea.Early morning road noise if you sitting on your balcony. There are no bibles in the rooms.

The place is peaceful and tranquil. Great big garden with benches to relax. A huge Koi fish pond with different species. They have an in-house chef, and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is electricity ALL the time even during load shedding, which is a big selling point nowadays. I stayed for two nights. First, the towels were green in colour, although very clean and fresh, that might have been the only thing that put me off. On the second day, the towels were changed to white ones, which appear cleaner, which is just a personal preference, honestly, nothing to write home about.

The place is peaceful and tranquil. A huge garden with benches to relax. A huge Koi fish pond with different species. They have an in-house chef, and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think only breakfast is inclusive, and the place has a liquor license for those who like to indulge in the waters of immortality. I stand to be corrected. There is electricity ALL the time even during load shedding, which is a big selling point nowadays. I stayed for two nights. First, the towels were green in colour, although very clean and fresh, that might have been the only thing that put me off. On the second day, the towels were changed to white ones, which generally appear cleaner. Honestly, it is just a personal preference, nothing to write home about. Everything else is great, I would definitely recommend the place any day. 10/10

Nothing.

The staff were superb. Friendly, even came to unblock the shower 5 minutes after I called. Let me check out later for a small fee, which I appreciated massively. Food was great quality. Room massive, and we'll equipped. Thank you for the fridge to keep my Black Lables and wine cold.

Chef would cover all food dishes in black pepper(dinner and breakfast) like they used parsley to make all dishes look 'nice' in the 90's. Not everyone eats pepper. They should not do this. It doesn't make the food look nicer. Rather let a customer add it to their food if they want. Food was tasty without this. Service in the restaurant was a bit slow, so not sure what happens when the restaurant is busy. Hugely annoying, loud woman at a group table. Even the other couple sighed from relief when she finally started eating, and we couldn't hear her anymore. Wished it had a pool, then I would stay in summer too.

Everything, it is a lovely place, with friendly staff and amazing food! It is a popular little places as people came in and our for lunch and dinner, but rightfully so as the food really is amazing there! The coffee is delicious and the staff were so helpful! Hubby and I just needed a weekend off from the kids and the staff respected that and gave us our space and brought everything right to our room! Amazing place! Amazing staff!

My only complaint is that the towels in the bathroom were quite hard, maybe put them in the tumble dryer or new towels, there is absolutely nothing to complain about besides that!
