Close to subway (DDP station, exit 8), had a few halal restaurants behind the property. Close to fashion mall & uniqlo in dongdaemun. They don’t have elevator but they can help to send your bag upstairs using luggage lift

Olive Hostel is located in the centre of Dongdaemun, a neighbourhood full of shops, places where to eat and things to see. The Underground is 3 mins walk and there are a lot of buses as well. Very easy also from and to the airport. Room was not big, but perfect for one person, it had all the necessities I needed, considering I only slept and showered. AC, mini fridge, and personal wifi. The best part of the stay was Anna, the host. Such a sweet person, she even left me a note with Korean sweets to make me feel warm and welcome. Absolutely nothing negative to say about the Olive Hostel.

I was aware that the accommodation I chose in Seoul would be small, but during my visit, everything was quite expensive—or perhaps Seoul itself is generally pricey. Communication with the property was smooth via Booking.com, and its location was excellent. It was close to several tourist attractions and markets, and it offered easy access to both airports by metro or bus. While I’m unsure if I’d choose to stay there again, its location was undeniably convenient, especially given that I was arriving at one airport and departing from another.

The room I booked was extremely compact, and even for one person, it was a bit challenging to manage. There wasn’t enough space to leave my 10kg carry-on suitcase open. The shower was situated right next to the toilet, which I understand is common in Seoul. That said, I had chosen the smallest, windowless room at a lower price point. I believe the accommodation offers larger rooms that could comfortably fit two people.

Anna, the contact, was very personable and checked in to ensure that all needs were met... she explained the check in/out process in detail as it was a self-check-in. This mode was great as I got in late at night and there was no problem. The communal lounge was well set up with tv and kitchen. Enjoyed the stay. Thanks.

There isn't an elevator but it is not a problem. The stairs are not many getting around. If you don't have tons of luggage... it is not an issue. Enjoyed the stay... fabulous!! Thanks. J

the host is really friendly and hepful all the things you need is there, hairdryer, weight scale for your baggae, and it is safe super near everything

not really sound proof, so if you are a light sleeper, might not be an ideal place to stay the bed is really hard, but if yu dont mind, i guess it is a good place to stay for solo traveler

We absolutely loved our stay at Olive Hostel! The location is perfect : close to public transport and amenities, yet tucked away in a quiet area. The room was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the rooftop was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. We stayed here twice during our trip and would recommend it to anyone visiting!

The location was great, just next to the subway station and airport bus stop, very good value for the price. All the amenities were provided. There was Aircon/heater, fridge etc.

Slight smell in the room but once inside you get used to it quickly. No lift and we were on the 5th floor. One of the reviews said there was a small lift for luggage but we did not get that option.

Amazing location that is walking distance to a ton of restaurants and shopping malls. The property host was so kind too. She helped us bring our suitcases up the stairs and even provided us water because it was so hot outside. The room provides all the basic necessities and felt clean and comfortable.

No elevator and rooms are small but great value for money

The hotel is 1 minutes close to subway. Whit nice walk you can reach many things around , as temple , food market and shops . The hosts is not there at the reception but every time I message them they answer really fast . They are really kind people . The room are minimal and super clean , for me was absolutely fine, I don’t need more than that when I travel . The hotel is absolutely recommended.

The location is clean, and amazingly quite ! The bed was comfortable, there is an efficient AC. There is a fridge, air dryer inside the room. Showers and toilet cabin are in the same room, never saw that before, but it's exactly as on the picture so no surprises. I didn't try to be honest, feel weird to shower with the toilet in the same place.

I had a good stay.
