Amazing hotel for a perfect getaway! The hotel is just a 10-minute drive from Ávila – conveniently located yet peaceful and quiet, ideal for truly relaxing. The staff is incredibly polite and friendly – it really feels like home. The breakfast is tasty and varied, and there's a nice bar and a cozy pool area. The hotel fully deserves its 5 stars – highly recommended!

Riding into Fontecruz we weren't sure what to expect due to some of the previews - which we now know appear unjust. We were greeted with warm smiles in Spanish which quickly changed to English when they correctly identified we where we were from. The greeting for bikers by hotels can be mixed a bag but the professionalism of the staff made us feel very welcome. The room is lovely, plenty of space and very clean. The bar staff were friendly and accommodating, the recommended wine was excellent and not overpriced. Felt happy leaving bikes outside and as vehicle lovers know this means a better nights sleep! I think it's worth mentioning given some reviews that star ratings mean slightly different things in different countries, so the British expectations of four star hotels do not apply in another country. We found this hotel worthy of its rating and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It was a very pleasant experience with a good nights sleep in peaceful surroundings. We rather liked the art on the walls, not the sort of thing I'd buy myself but a refreshing change from the bland stuff some places have! One thing worth noting, it's is a large hotel and if you happen to be far away from the hot water tank don't be afraid to let the bath tap (or shower) run for a while to let it heat up! Liked this place and it's helpful staff. Will be rebooking in the future.

There was nothing to dislike.

Very spacious room considering it was a late booking. Parking on site which was, as advertised, 3 km outside Avila. Very good place to stay if you were touring in a car. Staff were excellent and very tolerant of our lack of Spanish. A large hotel but not high rise, more like a country hotel with greenery and wildlife surrounding it, golf available if that's your thing. Easy drive into Avila with free parking after 2pm. Would stay again.

Nothing, we did note that the swimming pool was not in use except by the local ducks.

The staff on reception were very pleasant and and helpful. Plenty of parkting in front of the hotel. Ample sunbeds by the pool.

The breakfast staff did not have things organised on time on both days, which was disappointing. The lighting in the bedroom wasn't sufficient. The room was alright, but 2 euros for a small bottle of water was scandalous!

Friendly helpful staff. The hotel is more of a corporate style, the sort I've stayed in for conferences but our room was large, comfortable and with a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was excellent with big soft towels. There was a large wedding on our first night which was noisy in the bar and reception areas (it looked to be a great wedding venue). However we were not disturbed in our room. There was a very good choice for breakfast. The pool looked great but unfortunately we were a bit poorly so didn't use it. Plenty of parking spaces.

The evening meal in the restaurant was a somewhat disappointing. The food was average with only a choice of red or not very chilled white wine. However it was OK and saved a drive into Avila.

The hotel is outside the city in a relaxed rural atmosphere. There is plenty of free parking right outside the front entrance. There is a golf course next door. It was a 10-minute walk to their clubhouse where we enjoyed drinks under the trees next to a small river.

Our room was very dark until late afternoon when the sun eventually reached it. I recommend you ask for a room that isn't on the top floor where the windows are rather small.

The property had a lovely pool

The price was more expensive than other accommodations closer to Ávila. However, the pool made it worthwhile

Hotel about 5-10 mins drive out of Avila centre but easy. Parking free in outside area. Staff very helpful. Large facility so gets large groups through. We had a loft style room on second floor, very clean but could do with a bit more light, maybe another floor lamp as very dark.

The large group staying had children running around hotel common area playing hide and seek and making a lot of noise even in main bar area. We decided to eat across the road at restaurant due to this.

The pool and the area around it is beautiful. It’s very peaceful. The room was very spacious. The staff were brilliant couldn’t do enough for you. The pool makes the hotel.

It would be nice to have a tea or coffee facility in the room. For my babies bottles I had to go to the reception for hot water. Which the staff have no problem doing but just a little annoying. I would of paid rental for a kettle.

Nice comfortable clean room & very friendly helpful staff. Excellent value for money & good location. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend. Nice restaurant, good food.
