The palacio is well located in Avila, a walking distance to the main attraction. The green parking area outside the walls (from Puerta del Mariscal) is very convenient, at 1.10 per 24 hours, free on Saturdays afternoon and Sundays. The Palacio conserved most of its original features, and the personnel (like the people from the city) are very welcoming and cheerful!

The rooms don't have AC, which could be challenging during summer, especially for the rooms facing west (main entrance side). One remark, more than a critic, the fridge/ drinks machine at the entrance is very noisy. It disturbs the calm of the reception and annexed sitting area, and even get up to the rooms floor (we don't hear it inside the room). The walls of the romms are very thin, one can hear their neighbours' conversation, and worse their loud music sometimes). Wifi doesn't reach upstairs well.

Both the building itself, its furnishings and the room respire the history of the town and its residents. The location of the palacio is - in our view - in the prettiest part of town. The young staff is very nice and hospitable. The (small) room was comfy and well equipped. The breakfast, that was included in the very affordable rate, was extensive and delicious, and also served with a smile.

Being an ancient building, it can be a bit noisy. The young couple next door (or 3 doors away?) were apparently enjoying themselves.

We booked this at the last minute, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The city is magnificent, and the hotel, nestled within the city walls, is truly beautiful. The reception area is impressive, and the rooms are very nice, exuding a traditional and rustic charm. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. When we had a big puncture in our car, they promptly assisted us in finding a garage to get a new tyre. We also turned up for breakfast without a reservation, and it was no problem. While breakfast might not be the Ritz, for €6 per person, it is certainly a bargain. I should have taken pictures before starting to unpack.

All better than expected.

I stayed here off season, it was very quiet and I found that the hotel offered great value and comfort for my money. I like the full-sized bed and big shower (too often hotels give solo travelers a broom closet, not here!). They also arranged a safe space to store my bicycle inside. I was given an option for a self check-in, but there was also a receptionist throughout the day and evening. The historical building and interior are great, and the location is excellent.

I missed coffee/tea making facilities in my room.

Exquisitely furnished throughout with exposed brick walls, wooden furniture and beams. There was an old well and a stone bench in the breakfast room. Fascinating place with many interesting details. Bedroom was very spacious with an adjoining bedroom for our daughter. Tastefully updated to include subtle lighting, modern plumbing and air conditioning. Central location. Staff, especially Antony, helpful and pleasant. Felt very privileged to have been able to stay here, couldn’t believe how reasonably priced it was.

Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. There was no lift. Reception closed at 10.30 pm. There was a code to enter and a phone number for emergencies.

Location, location, location! The hotel is at a superb location. Inside the beautiful walls, but close to a gate where you can park your car for 1.1€ for an entire day! Absolutely recomnended! We'd definitely stay there again any time!

Breakfast does not worth the price. You receive bread, 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of cheese. Plus coffee and juice. That's it.

Comfort in a noble mansion, the hotel is in heart of walled city. Great historic atmosphere of renaissance. Rooms are spacious & well furnished. Lovely warmth on a wet weekend. Great self serve continental breakfast for 5/6€. Lovely balcony view of church from our room.

All good, demand led pricing fluctuates widely. Pick an off peak night, as Avila popular weekends.

Central location, clean and comfortable beds. One night stay, have stayed a night previously en route to Madrid and happy to return again. Lots of character and located in old part of Avila. Easy to find street parking.

Room was quite warm, no aircon but there were fans. If you have heavy bags there is no lift, not an issue for us but might be for others.

Beautiful old building in the heart of Avila. Secure parking nearby. Fridge in the room to chill drinks. Friendly staff who went out of their way to help despite my non existent Spanish

No air-conditioning, but with a large fan, and opening balcony door late evening, we managed.

In the old town so near to everything one needs to see I'm Segovia. Staff checked in earlier than indicated as the room was already available. Nearby street parking seems always full. But free and huge parking 10-15 minutes walk away.

The drive to the hotel through the old town goes to narrow streets, including getting out through a very narrow town gate. Those coming with big cars have to be careful.
