Perfect location - the hotel is located in a palace literally, and even the city's "Muralla" is part of it. Very tasty a la carte breakfast, with high quality ingredients - great tea selection. The room was huge, spotless clean, and the staff was really nice and helpful. Really good quality/price ratio.

The breakfast should be better organized - as it is a la carte and the serving staff is not fluent English speaker, the choices should be numbered. In this way, the ordering process would become much easy.

This hotel is very well located inside the fortress right next to it, it has one wall of the fortress! It was a wonderful experience to sleep 2 nights. Room is comfortable, great bathroom and bed. Breakfast was very good. Staff is extremely helpful. Hotel is new but keeps the old feeling of the city. I will be back.

Loved this hotel. It's a beautiful building in a wonderful location, but what really made it for us, was the outstanding staff. Every person we encountered during our stay went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We really couldn't have asked for better service before, during and after our stay. Our room overlooked the garden at the front of the hotel and was very quiet with excellent sound proofing. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were of very high quality, all making for a very relaxing stay. The shower was great. We tried breakfast, dinner and tapas in the gastrobar and all were excellent.

A little bit more storage space in the form of a chest of drawers in our room would have been helpful, and a sign on arrival to inform guests that reception is upstairs, not on the ground floor. Very minor quibbles and nothing which interfered with our enjoyment of our stay.

Absolutely stunning hotel, right in the heart of Avila, next to the stunning City walls & 2 minutes walk from the Cathedral. It's a beautiful building with lovely, simple but very stylish rooms and a fantastic little Bar/Cafe on the ground floor. We were there in January, so not a lot of 'outdoor dining/drinking opportunities', but there is a wonderful garden with a separate cocktail bar at the front of the hotel which I imagine is fantastic in Spring/Summer. Everything in the City is within walking distance (churches, market, restaurants, museums, shops, bars), and the famous City Wall Walk (about 1.4 miles) is well worth the effort. Fabulous staff in the hotel, both on Reception and in the Cafe. Really helpful and very friendly, they gave us some great tips for local restaurants and bars. There is also on site car parking, which isn't cheap but is really, really convenient if, like us, you're arriving on four wheels! Stylish, classy and thankfully, not up itself! Would highly recommend the hotel if you're ever in the area.

Nothing - really wish we could have stayed longer to be honest.

The understated luxury and ambience of this small hotel far exceeds any hotel I have stayed in ....... anywhere. This relatively new hotel punches way above it`s weight in the category it is classed. I`m sure it will gather many more deserved accolades to support it`s growing reputation.

A very minor personal annoyance after the previous `likes` section would seem petty so I won`t mention it. I didn`t like leaving ...

This extremely fancy 4-star hotel is located just within the old city walls. The city of Ávila is tiny and everything is within walking distance. The large but cosy room and exquisite bathroom invite you to stay in bed all day long - don't; go and explore the old city! Or try to discover the parts of the old city wall you still find in the hotel! 😊 And finally a room where you can use 2 suitcases without having to leave one on the floor! Breakfast is good, but nothing special - just fancy. It's a small buffet, but you can ask for almost anything; they'll be happy to prepare or cook for you. The hotel has an enclosed parking lot, which comes in handy for your (rental) car. And they let us stay till after noon the day we checked out!

Hardly any vegetarian options at the breakfast buffet (besides tomato, eggs and sweets). Nothing vegan, not even horchata (kind of almond milk)...

The location is perfect just inside the city walls. The hotel is well appointed with various places to eat and drink, including in the garden, a peaceful place to sit, where there is a bar and a good menu selection. Our bedroom was a superior double and was delightful with the best bed I have ever slept in! We slept very well!! Coffee and tea making facilities in the room were a bonus Breakfast was a varied menu with many choices and great personal service. I had a croissant with jam, Kefir made from goats milk with a variety of fresh fruit, bacon, egg, tomato with toast. Drinks were orange juice and coffee. We needed a good breakfast as we had a long drive ahead of us. I would say it is value for money if you like a good breakfast!!

This was our second visit and we had looked forward to the peace and quiet in the garden but this year it was noisier due to a wedding being held. I can see it is a perfect venue for a wedding and staff were keen to ensure other guests didn't suffer. So, nothing to dislike!

Located just inside the castle wall this hotel is ideal for visiting the pleasant city of Avila. It is easy to find and parking for Motorcycles is just inside the main gate plus it is free however it isn’t ideal because of the gravel surface. The alternative is to park at the side of the hotel on the hard standing. This is also free. If you choose to use the main car park it is €15 per night. All areas are locked and secure at night. The hotel is tastefully decorated and of a high standard. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast is 100% al La carte and it is excellent. There is an abundance of choice and it’s all freshly cooked. The bar area inside and outside is comfortable and very relaxing. The slightly annoying thing is you have to pay a surcharge if you sit outside and have a drink. All in all this is a very nice place to stay in Avila

The young lady on the reception in the morning/daytime is a little too officious and curt. She needs to relax more and develop a more friendly, courteous and customer focused attitude.

Lovely, clean and spacious room, helpful reception staff who quickly sorted our parking without having pre-booked. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished - a great example of combining the old with the new. Outside bar was a lovely place to sit and enjoy an evening drink and the food was good. The location was great. RIght by one of the main gates in the wall, an easy walk into the town centre with bars, shops and restaurants all easily accessible.

The only thing I'd say is that the service at the bar is a little slow. It felt like they could have done with an extra member of waiting staff.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect situation just inside the city walls of Ávila, which is a great place to visit, and within an easy walk of lots of cafés, bars and restaurants. Luca on reception was extremely welcoming and helpful, the bedroom was great, with an extremely comfortable bed. The kettle and coffee pod machine (pods supplied each day as at May 2024) were nice touches. The onsite parking, which was €15 a day in May 2024, was also excellent.

A very minor point, but the wardrobe space would benefit from a few more cost hangers. However this is a common problem in many hotels and did not detract from our stay in any way.
