- A/C was only on from 11pm-8am. I like to sleep early and check-out was at 10am, so I would have liked to be more comfortable during those times. I was only informed of these times upon arrival. - the ladders for the bunk beds were not very easy to climb. You need to be very agile if you get a top bunk. - additionally, you don't get to choose a bed so if you are less physically able and get assigned a too bunk, I'm not sure if you have the option of changing to a bottom bunk. - although we had lockers, we had to hand the keys to the reception anyway, so someone else always has access to your valuables if you keep them there.

The location was excellent just a short walk from the metro station. The lady at the reception was absolutely wonderful. I had seen some negative comments about her beforehand but my experience was the complete opposite. She was kind, attentive and truly welcoming. I arrived at 8 am and even though check-in wasn’t open yet, she kindly offered to store my luggage at reception. The next morning, breakfast was scheduled for 8 am but I arrived a bit earlier and she still had it ready for me. That small gesture meant a lot. She only spoke Spanish but I had no problem understanding her. Sometimes people forget that when we travel, we’re the ones who should make the effort to adapt to the local language and culture. As for the bathrooms, it’s true there’s just one shared bathroom upstairs but there are extra ones downstairs for both genders and the elevator works perfectly. Overall, I had a great stay and was genuinely touched by the warm service.

Some guests in the dorm were quite noisy at night. One person even had their alarm go off at 4:50 am, waking everyone except themselves. But of course, that’s not the property’s fault.

Hostelscat is ideally located in the heart of Barcelona, surrounded by bars, restaurants, supermarkets, cinema, a library, and just a few  steps from the Plaza de Sants metro station, the famous Sants Estacion,  train station, buses, taxis. This makes it easy to explore the city. The staff at Hostelscat were extremely friendly and helpful. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had, which was truly great.  the hostel was impeccably clean. It was clear that the staff took pride in maintaining a high standard of higiene of the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, which made me feel very comfortable during my stay. The hostelscat  has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that I loved. I met many other travelers during my stay, and it was very easy to strike up conversations and make new friends. Overall, I highly recommend Hostelscat to anyone looking for clean, well-located, and affordable accommodation in Barcelona. I will definitely be back on my next visit.

Booking a room was very simple along with the check out process. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The showers were kept very clean and the toilet on our floor was also clean. One of the staff members didn't speak English but as someone who is traveling as a tourist this is to be expected. However with a bit of Google translate it went smoothly.

I think the hostel is run by a family. They are so nice and care about you needs. The host is so hospitality and running the hostel with passion. The host during the daytime speaks fluent English, and provides all the information and advice to you about the city. I feel warm when I stay in the hostel. The location is good and close to every restaurant and cafe for breakfast, also just a 2 mins walk to the metro, which the metro line is just 4-5 stations to the heart of the city. Also, the price of the hostel is a really good deal in Barcelona. No worry about the location. Believe me, the metro in Barcelona is so convenient, and you can just purchase a 10 trips tickets which cost around 11euro. It is enough for you to travel to anywhere in Barcelona within 5-6 days. For the people who want to watch the football game of Barcelona, the hostel is just 10 minutes walk to the Barcelona home stadium, Camp Nou.

For me, everything meets my expectation, and the host is so passionate to take care of the visitors. For some visitors who are not able to speak Spanish, may have a little bit difficulties during nighttime. Because the host during nighttime is not able to speak English. But I think it is good for me, because I can practice my Spanish. And normally, you don't have any questions about your stay at night.

This small, immaculate, family-run hostel in a short residential street is a real find. Convenient to Sants rail station (the McDonald's exit, 8 min stroll past dozens of tapas bars), it's a short walk to many points as well as on major bus lines. Mom and Dad have no English but they are very agreeable; Son is fluent and helpful. In a city with insane room prices, this is a good alternative. Everything clean, pretty new, and well laid out. Beds comfy, housekeeping top notch. AND there's an elevator.

Showers on 1st floor, room on second.No communal area to speak of.

Friendly staff ( recepcion desk open 24hs), clean basic room with an average size. Perfect location , few blocks from Sants (Barcelona main train station) and Plaza Espanya , far from the noisy La Rambla , very quiet and silent in the night ! Good price for Barcelona !
