This hotel offers a streamlined, modern experience with its fully online check-in and digital key system. While this minimizes face-to-face interaction with staff, the online support is responsive and helpful. The hotel itself, including the rooms, is impeccably clean and well-organized. Its location in the heart of Gracia (Villa de Gracia) is a major plus, putting guests within easy walking distance of numerous bars, restaurants, the metro, pharmacies, and other amenities.

While my overall stay was excellent and I highly recommend this hotel, I did encounter a couple of issues in the bathroom. The shower stall lacks any form of splash guard, resulting in water spilling onto the bathroom floor during showers. This could easily be remedied with a simple silicone barrier. The toilet, which appears to have a concealed tank, also presented a problem. The refill time between flushes is excessively long, making it inconvenient to use the bathroom multiple times in quick succession. The refilling process is also quite noisy, even with the bathroom door closed. Despite these bathroom concerns, the hotel's other positive aspects outweighed these issues, and I would still recommend it.

Fell in love with Gracia neighbourhood, probably the best area to stay if you're not the first time in Barcelona and you don't need to see all the must see places. The room has a tiny balcony, which looks exactly on the small plaza, where you can watch people waking up, having first coffee, playing guitar, talking. There is some noize but I stayed during work days, and it was quiet. The room is small but cozy, with a stylish shower, some tea and coffee essentials. Sonder has also an acceess to the terrace on the rooftop which is lovely. The stuff is super friendly and helpful.

I had to work, and in the room it's not really comfortable as there's no table you can sit by. It's not a surprise, as it's on the pictures. So if you don't need to work with the laptop, the place will be perfect.

Great location, easy communication through WhatsApp throughout (instant, helpful, friendly responses to everything I asked), HUGE room with two balconies and very effective black-out curtains. I expected more noise from the square, but didn't hear a thing. Good rain shower, too. I also liked that it had a kettle with some teas and coffee - you don't always get a kettle in Spain, but it was lovely to be able to have a cup of tea. There was also a handwritten welcome note and some chocolates, which was a very nice touch. Great value for money.

I was a little bit chilly but the a/c/heating are automatically regulated through the building, so I couldn't personally adjust the heating in my room. (I'm often cold and suspect others would find the temperature just fine.) Wish there'd at least been an extra blanket. (But I'd like to thank whichever member of staff was on WhatsApp who did try and find one for me!)

I really liked the innovative check-in process—everything was digital and seamless. The location was perfect, close to the metro, markets, bakeries, cafés, and bars. The room was cozy, small but charming, making it a reasonable choice for a 3-4 day stay. The bathroom was also perfect.

The sound insulation was terrible. Noise from outside, between floors, and through the windows was very noticeable, which made it difficult to rest properly.

The hotel is great, the room was spacious as in the photos. The staff is super friendly.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you are a light sleeper because noises come from everywhere. There is a Plaça outside and there are always a lot of people up until midnight. And also I could hear the neighbours from above walking, I suppose sound proofing between floors is not very good so unfortunately I could sleep only 2-3 hours during nighttime because I am light sleeper.

The location of the place was perfect - very charming and so close to bars, restaurants, small shops. My only issue was that there wasn't a lot of room for your clothes and suitcase. It was fine for just one person but if I came with a friend, we wouldn't have a lot of space to place our clothes. But the staff was amazing and attentive, and the space bright and welcoming. Great breakfasts too. I would definitely come back if I visited solo, but may have to look for options if I had a companion since they would have their own bags and things (though perhaps the other rooms had more clothing storage space - I had the double). Loved the stay though and would recommend to others.

There could have been more room to store your clothes and suitcase.

The rooms are beautifully designed and furnished, the hotel is very modern, you enter with your room card on your phone. They have breakfast options (we didn't pick breakfast but it looks nice), and free filtered water in the lobby. When we arrived their was an issue with the A/C in our room, and by the next morning they had moved us into an upgraded room without us having asked for that. The staff is incredibly friendly. The area around the hotel is incredible, at least 5 restaurants in the plaza outside the hotel which we returned to constantly during our trip. 6 minutes walk to the nearest metro.

Enjoyed everything.

The hotel is located in an absolutely lovely area that is cozy and lively with an endless amount of restaurants, bars and cafes. It is easily accessed by public transport, but if you are not lazy then many of the sights are also within walking distance. The room was more spacious than expected and more quiet than I assumed, even though it was overlooking a busy square.

Even though the door code system and no key card policy work nicely otherwise, then the online check-in is a bit of a hassle and takes several tries with all the uploads, photos and what not.

My stay at the Sonder La Casa del Sol was absolutely fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The room was very clean, spacious and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location, Placa del Sol, Gracia, was perfect, the local bars and restaurants were amazing. I truly enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend Sonder to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Fabulous clean king size comfy bed. Easy access with code. Great location in Gracia. Employee Judith checking in on us on what's app daily. A door wasn't working and she told us well in advance & apologised. Fridge in room. Good shower. Spacious.

The floor was not as clean as it could have been. This is nothing to do with Sonder, but there was some noise at night from the street below.
