Apologies I have forgotten the gentleman's name on reception he was super helpful , friendly. He helped me find a free parking spot close to the hotel. Totally surrounded by old buildings. Some bars and restaurants close but plenty a ten minute walk away. Breakfast was very good especially if you like Spanish meats and cheeses. Bacon and omelettes to. Rooms was a good size if plain. Lovely bathroom. Would very much recommend Parador and Caceras. Its about 3 hours from Madrid airport.

The building is made up of 2 small palaces joined so is a bit of a warren. Also it would have been useful to know in advance as you drive up hill in to historic part that you can drive in past the control cameras if your staying at the parador.

I loved everything about that property. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Every nook and cranny along the corridors and guest lounges were elegant. They even have a special salon for guests to read, do internet, watch TV or simply chat and relax. It's a few minutes walk to the Plaza Mayor where the shops and restaurants are. The breakfast buffet was very generous with an array of choices. Each guest had their own tongs to use in getting food. Most especially, I loved the reception staff. Jose Miguel helped us with our luggage & check-in and even escorted us to the lift. Pilar was the best! There was non-stop noise on the room directly above us. When I asked her about it--- she didn't hesitate to find me another room. She took me to check the rooms available and if they were to my liking. Just like that, we were able to move to a much quieter room. Luis was another helpful staff who was there to answer our queries in perfect English!

Nothing.

It is in the central part of Cáceres. The Parador is a beautiful old building with modern touches. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, they don't always say it but they do have a cook working who can cook egg dishes and other fresh options (the eggs are always fresh).

The parking situation is a little complex, it is an uphill walk from the parking lot (it was 39C or 102F when I made the trek). The Parador is in the old town so the streets are very narrow.

This is how one would imagine a parador. Beautifully done out in historical setting. Outdoor seating area for breakfast if one wished and a beautiful setting for a special evening meal. Room was fine. Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. We hadn't realised that the parador is set within the historical centre which is almost like a preserved museum with the vast majority of bars, restaurants and cafes outside in the 'new' town. That enhances the special status of the parador as it is one of only a few establishments within the historical centre. The streets and alleyways are very atmospheric. We parked in the public car park in the 'new' town which I think is probably the most sensible as negotiating the narrow streets could be a nightmare. Around 10 minutes walk from there. Don't forget to ask for the 40% discount ticket at the parador reception! All in all, a lovely 2 day stay --not the cheapest but if you want a taste of a real historic traditional parador in an atmospheric setting, this could be for you!

A lovely building in the heart of the historic old town and an easy walk to all the main sights. Very comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. We had dinner on the restaurant terrace, which was very pleasant on a warm night and enjoyed all the dishes we had.

It was a bit of a walk from the public car park to the hotel and in 36C heat, it was quite uncomfortable. But I understand that there’s a trade off between maintaining the ambiance of the old town and having convenient parking.

The location was perfect as central but quiet. Our room with a balcony and fkags on the balcony was rather grand making us feel very special. The food was excellent, we would have liked English translations as made a few mistakes.

The car parking was a long walk from the accommodation with suitcases. We would have liked to take our drinks to the garden area as the cafeteria bar area was not appealing.

Lovely facility, staff at reception were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and the atmosphere was inviting.

Restaurant staff were not attentive and required reminders concerning our order. Overall they were not very friendly. Quality of the dinner was less than expected for a Parador.

Beautiful property, clean room, convenient location. Helpful, friendly staff. Perfect parking garage facility with staff shuttling you with your luggage, but so close to walk to if you want to take out the car for the day.

Unable to adjust temperature in the room-either heat or air conditioner I was told by staff. Apologies from front desk. A bit warm for us to sleep comfortably at night.

The Parador de Caceres is located within 5 minutes walk from the main city center. Caceres is known for it's Archaeological Roman ruins, castles, old buildings, museum's, narrow cobblestones streets. Lots of uphill climbing, so you need a good pair of tennis shoes. My wife and I love this city because it is small with a population of 85,000 thousands plus. The city has a lot of fortified fortress and castle's where the Romans, and later the Arabs Muslims, defended the city. So there is a lot of ancient history. Plenty of Museum to visit. The Parador staff and service were excellent. It's worth paying for the breakfast. A huge selection of foods to choose from. The building could have been an old convent but was modernized to resemble a Roman architecture. To us it was too modern. We preferred the Parador in Merida an original Roman Architecture. Although, my wife and I would have preferred for the Parador in Caceres to be closer to the city center where all the restaurants with great Gastronomy and entertainment are located. Especially at night if you like their Tapas. We spend two nights, 3 days and it's enough to see everything.

Away from the City Center within 5 or 7 minutes walk. The city itself is all cobble stones and like a "laberinto" Labyrinth. So we got lost all the times and have to ask locals for directions to the Parador. If you do not mind and climbing and going downhill on the streets and have strong legs then it's not a problem specially for young people unlike us in our seventies. The weather in April 17-30 was great. The mornings cool 9 or 10 degrees Celsius to about 15 or 16 in the afternoons. About 50 degrees Fahrenheit in the mornings to 59 or 60 in the afternoon. We wore a light sweater in the mornings and evenings. We do recommend this Parador for the value you get for the money you pay. Much better than staying in a hotel. We will return in the near future.

Great location in the centre of the old town .We had a super room with a big bathroom The breakfast was delicious

We were given a voucher for a drink from the bar on arrival but we’re not allowed to take it onto the terrace as the restaurant was not open at that time. There was no complimentary tea coffee or water in the room
