Have stayed here once before and it was spot on. This time we got the very same room coincidentally, with a nice balcony view. There is nothing I can say bad about the hotel other than one exception, as it's always a pleasure to stay here. The only minor gripe is the smell from some of the drains, but this can sometimes be atypical for hotels of this type, age, and location. To be clear, we once again had another lovely stay, and we love the staff, and the brilliant location too. So thanks again to the Hostel Antares and the Staff, for a lovely stay.

Location was very close to the beautiful Cala Gran beach, the staff was really amazing in giving us tips how to organize our stay and what to avoid - including some hidden gems you won't find on social media. It was, at that price, the only hotel so close to the beach and the city center at the same time

Lovely little authentic hotel. The staff were some of the friendliest staff we've had at any hotel we've stayed at. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was great, right in the heart of everything and close to the beach but still relaxing and fairly quiet. The little cafe under the hotel where we had breakfast was lovely and the granola bowl was fab !

Even though the room itself was fairly recently painted and looked clean etc. The rooms could do with a little update (not too much so as not to loose the authenticness of the hotel though) such as repainting the balcony & updating the bathroom (our toilet was leaking). Maybe adding little things such as a fridge & TV.

The staff made our experience so pleasant! They were super helpful in directing us to the nearby sightseeing. We enjoyed our balcony and the room was decent sized. You couldn't be better located for this price, we would come back:)

Our AC did not work which was a big downside when temperature reach 35c... But they provided us with a portable fan which helped. They did not come to clean our room the entire time, even though we saw housekeeping workers around. We just asked for clean towels and that's that!

Easy and good location, nice little balcony. Aircon worked well. Suited our needs and was not pricey. Everything looked like it was from the 90s, which is okey, and even made us nostalgic to old travels to warm contries! Overall, we are happy about our pick and slept well. Nb! Check out wine tasting at Son Alegre, that was fun! Wine was okey, but full glasses and a lot of charm and fun and the owner was AMAZING.

When we arrived the smell of chlorine was a bit pungent in the hallways and room but we aired it out. Better products to clean would be more suitable. I see a lot of people commenting on the extreme cleanliness, but we found it standard but good enough. Remember to put the towels on the floor to get new ones after cleaning, which was done everyday (they just empty trash, make the bed and give new towels) as cleaning everyday.

What an absolute gem, basic but everything you could need. Comfortable bed, clean, air con and a ceiling fan, little balcony, the best bar/cafe with extremely friendly staff. Although I met up with friends who were staying in different accommodation, I would be more than happy to stay here on my own for a holiday. Felt totally safe, beach a couple of minutes walk away, bars and restaurants plentiful and within easy reach. It has everything you need for a good value, no frills holiday in the centre of everything. Highly recommended for those who don't want/need a pool and 'entertainment laid on. No lift so not good for people with accessibility issues but it is an old hotel in the centre of everything.

Loved that it’s just a 2-minute walk from Cala Gran and only a few minutes from other beautiful calas. The front desk staff were very accommodating. We checked out the next day but wanted to explore the area a bit more, and they kindly let us store our bags in a safe space until we returned. The room still uses a traditional key, which actually added to the charm of the hotel. Our bedroom was very clean and cozy—we had a great sleep and really enjoyed our stay here!

Very friendly welcome and staff. We received many useful tips. Efficient AC, clean room and quiet, good WiFi connection in our room. The hotel is situated near the centre and port with many restaurants. Close to the shops. They give 15% discount on breakfast in their restaurant. Even though it says it's 1 star, we felt there very good. Good location to see other beaches. Free parking within walking distance (<10min).

Not a very good view from the balcony on a nearby building (room 116), but in fact, we didn't come to spend time in the room. ;) No fridge - could be useful to cool the water.

This is probably the best value for money hotel I've ever stayed. As long as you aren't expecting luxury and are simply looking for a comfortable place to stay then this is a great deal. The location is perfect - literally on the main street in Cala d'Or. The staff were lovely and gave great information about the local area. The room was nice enough with good quality aircon to keep it cool. We had a room at the back of the hotel and far from the stairs so never heard any noise.

Water pressure/shower head wasn't the best in the shower but could get by.

The main thing I liked about the property is the staff. They really love their job and that translates into total customer care and commitment to help anyone that stays there. Nothing is to much for the people on the reception. Miguel and Magdalena were so kind and welcoming and approachable I found myself having 20 minute conversations with them. The cleaners cleaned the room every day and nothing was too much for them either , also they were so quiet you could almost not know they were there. The location is spot on , in the centre but not noisy and the rooms are very very clean and beds are really comfortable.
