Everything, glorious classic "old school" Spanish hotel in the heart of the city (10-15min walk from Plaza Mayor), beautifully finished with marble, brass, glazing, chandeliers, reception looks like it should be on the Titanic! Rooms and corridor floors all hardwood parquet (impossible not to squeak when walking), impressive bar, astonishing breakfast choice, A/C, free WiFi that worked well. Secure underground carpark with lift access to all floors. Good value for it's location, will definitely come again when in Salamanca, stayed one night in June, wish it had been longer.

Hotel Alameda Palace is a really beautiful property, on the edge of the old town of Salamanca. The rooms are spacious, airy and spotlessly clean, as are all the public areas. The sense throughout the hotel is one of old -world luxury; beautiful furniture, throughout. It offers exceptional value for money, given the location and comfort; having arrived from busy Madrid, this was a truly lovely, quiet place to stay and offers delicious breakfasts, served with proper tablecloths and cutlery in a bright, airy dining room.

Nothing could be improved

charm of old-fashioned hotels, super location and across the road the pedestrian zone starts and by car it is easy to get there, plus there is parking. not quite 5 stars, but excellent value for money! clean and if the windows overlook the inner courtyard on the upper floors it is very quiet! of the minuses narrow and dark parking for maneuvers - you need a red/green traffic light it is very inconvenient when you enter, and the incoming traffic is coming towards you... and the exit button - you can wait a long time until they see you...

The location is superb. The rooms we had were spacious and contrary to what has been said before, it is possible to have air conditioning even if it hasn’t yet been turned in the hotel generally. The heating and air conditioning are controlled by the same switch in your room.

Bathroom floors could have been cleaner. And the scrambled eggs at breakfast were not good - they tasted like powdered eggs that had been microwaved. Otherwise the breakfast was lovely particularly the fruit.

A lovely hotel just 10 minutes walk in a straight line from the train station. The Alameda is a big hotel, with bus stops and taxis outside, but a very short walk to the main square and historic centre. The staff are delightful. Check in is 3.00pm but they will keep your bags. Breakfast is a lavish buffet. We also ate dinner there one night and the food was excellent, with friendly service. Our room was large with a sumptuous bathroom - double sinks, marble, mirrors and a glassed-off loo, which I prefer. There's a roof top bar but it was closed for the season. The most surprising thing for us was the cost - the room price was so reasonable compared with other Spanish cities, and Salamanca is a lovely university city. A must see for us was the Art Nouveau museum - it underplays itself. The collection of Chiparus sculptures and Galle glass is exceptional, and if you like dolls and fans... it really is a superb collection.

This hotel is wonderfully located... easy to walk everywhere and see Salamanca. It is an old world grand hotel with lovely furnishings and our bedroom was huge...a perfect place to stay.

The car park underneath hotel... very very narrow! We asked for ice to bring to our bedroom... the girl was about to give to us and the bar man nastily said no... we also asked for glasses... the barman stated we could have at a charge of 6 euro... we have travelled all over the world in bigger more exclusive hotels and we've never had to pay for ice and glasses Also no coffee machine in room.. and fridge plugged out. Also they advertise a swimming pool and I was told it was closed even though temperature high!

Location is great. Within a short walk from many tourist sites, restaurants, markets, cafes, metro and laundry.

The cleaning is awful. There was hair in many places in the bathroom. The bed is small, how was described, but the mattress was very simple, like a old road hotel. The room is very small, but this was in the description of the room. Maybe stay a little far from the center is a good idea, if you can walk, take a ride or the metro to visit the sites, and will get a better room for the same price.

We stayed one night at this beautiful hotel. The hotel is stunning, very elegant, and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We didn't use any of the hotel facilities or restaurants due to the short stay and our early departure. Central location with all the sights close by. Salamanca is beautiful. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

Great parking beneath the hotel, but there is an extra charge 17 euro per day. Which could quickly add up for a longer stay.

The hotel is centrally located and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and obliging. We would definitely stay again.

The valet parking on arrival was great, however on departure we were just given our car keys with no instructions as to how to exit the underground car park, and we couldn’t see any information within the car park. Fortunately a person entered from the other side on foot so we were able to get out, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Location is great and fot those who travel on a motorcycle or car the parking inside the Hotel is just perfect. Had my motorcycle parked in a indoor park and safe. Staff was super friendly, there is a restaurant and breakfast available. Price for bought park and food very reasonable.

It is a great value for the money. The room is big and clean. The only thing I do not like is the mattress too soft and my back kind of complained the next morning, but it is all right.
