Such a nice hotel, just outside the touristy part of town. A fantastic value, spotlessly clean, and friendly staff! Enjoyed the neighborhood, and our widow opened onto a lively street scene that was almost as much fun to watch as the plaza mayor downtown. Also, this hotel is close to the best tapas places with the best prices in Salamanca. Search Google maps for tapas in Salamanca and you'll see what I mean!

If you park at the hotel, your car is locked in the basement of the building, so you need to get someone from the hotel to walk with you (a couple hundred meters) to retrieve your car, or anything you might have left in it. Very secure, but be sure to get your stuff out before you park!

I was just passing through, and the welcome was great. The staff were exceptional, the rooms very clean, and most outstanding of all were the excellent mattresses. This is often a weak point in many hotels, but here the beds were truly outstanding! The hotel may look a bit dated at first glance, but that’s absolutely not the case. We had a wonderful night’s sleep at an affordable price. Thank you – and by the way, the WiFi works very well!

Parking with a car and roof box can be a bit tricky in the area, but after about 10 minutes of searching we managed to find a spot. The staff were helpful and thought along with us!

I selected this hotel due to its location near the train station. It was about a 4 block walk but that was OK, very easy for me. I had horrible rainy, windy weather, so the walk might have been better. Walking into town from the hotel was about 3 blocks to the edge of the pedestrian area which is a huge area. This hotel's staff was very friendly and helpful. My single room was clean and although this hotel is older, the decor was very nice. Plenty of space for a suitcase, although I just had carryon; nice place to hang clothes, and the shower was pretty large. Across the street are two small groceries and a pharmacy is close to the pedestrian areas. I would definitely stay here again in Salamanca.

What did I like the most? Hospitality of people :) Big shower. Cleanliness. Very affordable price. Breakfast included. 15 minutes walk to the university. As for breakfast, there was coffee, tea, milk, orange and grapefruit juice, and water. Plus, cacao to make. Bread/toast to toast. To the bread: three kinds of marmalade, tomato to smash on the toast (Spanish speciality), olive and butter - all in small portions. Additionally, choice of cakes. It was continental breakfast - as explained in the hotel description - so I find it really ok.

Room was basic but clean and bed comfortable. Hot water and towels changed daily. Underground parking was a plus at 12 euros a day. Owner was very helpful when we had to leave early hours. Great Tapas bars in Van Dyke street where locals eat. 10 minute walk into historic centre

No kettle in room but we always bring our travel kettle. After all it is a 1 star hotel - you can't expect everything

Best hotel I've stayed in for many a year, and I've stayed at a lot (Inc the Monte Carlo Grand). Superb. Free use of pool on roof (contrary to some previous stupid reviews), roof bar superb. Restaurant and breakfast superb. Parking excellent. Lift down to street level marvellous. Location excellent. Our room was A1 star. Quiet (soundproofing). Tea/coffee facilities. USB phone charger points by bed. Air con easy to use and effective. Bathroom second to none. Wonderful shower system. I could go on. Brilliant.

Very near the train station, some minutes away of the center, the hotel is simple but comfortable with a good shower. The receptionists are kind and helpful.

The breakfast could offer options for people with restrictions like lactose intolerant or gluten allergies. The shower equipment needs maintenance as well as cleaning the curtains and cushions.

The location was marvelous for us, an easy walk to the places of our interest. The room was large with a nice view of the street below, nice bathroom, good key system, and above all the reception staff who gave us such good information on food, drink, and the sights we were interested in. We learned of the best local places for tapas, a pleasant evening walk to and from.

Nothing to complain about. The self-serve breakfast was very handy for us, well-attended, well-supplied. The automatic coffee maker was different from any we had seen before.

It equaled the price I paid. It was clean and simple.

The breakfast did not have healthy options. Mostly bread, pastries, and highly processed packaged cookie-like options. We are required to leave our key at the front desk and I didn't see an option to decline room service, but when I returned to get something my key was not available at the desk, someone on the cleaning crew had it. That made me feel a bit uncomfortable. But, they were professionals and very polite.

The location was good - nicely close to the train station, but still only a short walk to the centre. We were able to leave our luggage there for pick up later. The room was fine.

The single bed in our room was really a trestle bed with a pretty basic mattress.
