This hotel has beautifully renovated modern rooms built into the old buildings surrounding Plaza Mayor. The location couldn't be better, the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were large and very clean with a good sized ensuite. French doors open on to a small balcony overlooking the vibrant square, but when closed the room was surprsingly quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi good. There is a commercial carpark just a 4 minute flat walk away. The hotel was very secure.

We didn't dislike anything, but be aware that the entrance to the hotel in via a very nondescript door between two shops in the cloister of the square. We had to ring reception to locate it.

Among the best hotels in all of my travels. Location overlooking the plaza mayor was fantastic. Staff were the best ! They saw we had wine in the room ... and without our asking ... we found 2 wine glasses ! And one of the staff, Paloma, helped us find my lost cell phone (which turned out to be hiding in our room) .. and Blanca and Javier were great too. Room was just the right size. Modern bathroom and all of the lighting tasteful. Only 10 rooms so try to get one with a balcony. Altogether a modern place without that hip-eco-nonsense that often comes with modern places. We stayed in fabulous fairly expensive on-the-plaza-places in Spain but this was our favorite hotel in our entire trip.

Being at the Plaza Mayor was a dream come true since I was a student in Salamanca over 50 years ago. The room was spacious and the view was spectacular. The location was convenient to restaurants and all the sites. Blanca at reception made us feel welcome and accommodated all our needs.

The shower leaked on the floor. The noise level from the plaza on Saturday night was very disturbing but improved on the other nights so I would advise that guests avoid being there on Saturday.

Staying inside the Plaza has been a dream since I studied abroad many years ago, but I always thought it would be too expensive or difficult to find a good room. I could not be more wrong! This room was exactly as advertised and more. A perfect view of the Plaza, extremely accommodating and helpful staff (in both English & Spanish), included coffee and some sodas in the complimentary minibar, and very, very clean.

Truly, the only drawback was the bathrooms have partially frosted glass walls, so privacy on the toilet is not the best. The bathroom was very clean & functional though.

We were staying on a Friday night . The area was very noisy with loud partying and shouting well into the night ( 3am, at least ) We like to have fresh air in the room so we keep the windows open . Perhaps if we kept the windows closed we wouldn’t have been effected but we couldn’t turn on the a/c and we found the room too stuffy without the open window

An amazing location and view This small hotel has the best views over the beautiful main square It was worth the cost to be able to stand on the balcony and watch The room is super modern and very clean The windows did a great job of muffling most but not all noise We used earplugs and heard nothing despite it being a Saturday night The staff were lovely with good restaurant recommendations Highly recommend

Not keen on the mostly glass bathroom wall which made you feel a little exposed but the bathroom itself was lovely

The location can't be beat! The staff were all amazing - they gave us restaurant recommendations, filled our fridge with complimentary soda and water daily, and even left a note and champagne for our last evening!

Aa mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom is definitely weird... it is glass enclosure with a frosted panel around the middle. You can pretty much see inside the bathroom from anywhere in the room.

The location is perfect right next to the Plaza Major but if you have large suitcases you need to carry them up some steps. The rooms were lovely and spacious, a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom with good quality amenities. The coffee machine was good but there was no kettle. The staff were wonderfully warm and welcoming.

The location is perfect for the main attractions in the old town. The room was modern and clean. The bed was comfortable and a good size. The eating choices were extensive and nearby.

Life in the Plaza Mayor goes on into the small hours of the morning most nights. The windows cannot be left open if quiet is the preference. The aircon was of very limited practical use.

We booked this room because it was directly over the historic square - one of the most beautiful in Europe. When it lights up at night, it’s fabulous, and the people watching from the deck is fun with restaurants below. Parking was close and easy. Reception was too. We’d stay here again.

It was fairly pricey. You pay for the view.
