We know the Dénia area very well and have walked admiringly past this hotel on many occasions. After a villa Christmas break with family we wanted to relax for a few days. Our initial booking was for 3 nights and we were delighted with the entrance lobby and the warm check-in by Sylvia. The boutique hotel is a sensitively refurbished old building with many historic features. The reception area has an old stone arch and lots of museum pieces. The bespoke aroma of a large candle was very relaxing. We went up to our Junior Suite Deluxe and loved the room. It was large and bright with two full-length windows opening on to a long think balcony with chairs overlooking the marina. The room had a large four-poster bed with high quality linens and lots of pillows all with the same bespoke aroma we enjoyed in reception. The floor was traditionally tiled and a large sofa-bed with a fridge and good lighting added a lot. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, double sinks, toilet and bidet with great towels and toiletries. We extended our stay to seven nights as we enjoyed everything so much. The large marina is just across the road with bars and restaurants. The historic old town is only a few minutes walk away. Calle Loreto has lots of tapas bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel and we will certainly return.

Great location and room, reception staff were super helpful

For the price maybe more facilities. The night we checked in our WC wasn’t working when we got back for dinner, took 12 hours to be fixed, one of those things but again for the price not the best experience, spoiled our first night to be honest. Twice when we came back to our room the housekeeper had removed the spare key from our room, another occasion we came back and the room door was wide open and unlocked, luckily nobody had accessed our belongings.

Wow. This place is amazing. Just amazing. We nearly didn't stay here because we had found an apartment which I booked directly with the owner, through their website. But, the directions they sent to reach the apartment, were crazy and we just could not find it, so we gave up and cancelled. This hotel definitely wasn't the cheapest option on Booking.com, but we had been driving for a long time, and decided to treat ourselves to a little bit of luxury. It was amazing. From check-in through to check-out, they stay was perfect. Parking is available about 50metres away (at a fee) in a secure garage, and instructions to access are easy. The hotel is on the sea front, and so it is busy outside, but once you step into reception, it is just magical. The building has been restored sympathetically and super tastefully, with lots of historical artefacts. Special mention must be made of the aromas which drift through reception and the communal areas - beautiful scents from candles and incenses which can be bought in the hotel. We booked a suite and it was huge, with a small balcony with a sea view. Decor is wonderful - linens and creams and natural tones and textures. Soothing and relaxing. As expected, the bed was super comfy. Breakfast the next morning was a delight - high quality food, eggs done however you wanted them, hams, cheeses, pastries, fruits, yoghurt, breads, cereals. All delicious and served in a beautiful room, with exceptionally lovely staff. All in all, a fabulous find in Denia.

Hotel was excellent

The restaurant was closed and reception did not know whether it was open or not. One day we were told that it opened at 20.00 but when we went down it was shut. My wife booked an appointment to have her nails done. The price shown on the document in the room was 40€ but we were charged 60€. The price list ay recepton had been changed to 60€ Frankly the manicure was not very good and the price exorbitant - 15€ in Torrevija for a much better manicure.

The hotel was very clean and had great design. The location was outstanding and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a great view of the the port. The bathroom was modern and spacious.

The air conditioning was not very good. It barely blew air on the max setting and did not cool the room much. I think it had worked properly but just didn't cool very well. The days were 30 C so it was hot.

The hotel is interesting with character. Awaiting us in our room was a bottle of Cava and rose petals strewn on the bed! Very romantic! The bed itself and the pillows were very comfortable and the bedding was of high-quality. It was nice to have a terrace and view from the room. There was a good choice for breakfast and the staff were very helpful. Karina on reception was particularly friendly and helpful, as was Yolanda in her email prior to our arrival.

Nothing to dislike!

Hotel is beautiful, each room is very well furnished and designed. Concierge team was extremely polite and helpful. Room was perfect and bed extremely comfortable.

Only negative point of our stay, room was a bit noisy and facing hotel entrance. At late night a group of people stayed over an hour downstairs chatting and singing, we could hear everything. Except for that, our stay was really good

The property had been beautifully modernised but had still retained some of the traditional charm in the reception and public areas The location was also fantastic

Would have been nice to have a few more facilities available to everyone in the hotel like a pool, jacuzzi or sauna - rather than the gym which I didn’t see anyone use. Breakfast area could also have been a little more traditional, cosy and relaxed.

- Central location with harbour views. - The décor in the communal areas was very characterful. - Very clean throughout. - Parking was free when we stayed (low season).

- Road noise was horrific - you couldn’t have the balcony door open and you could still hear it even when closed. - Our room was located on the first floor close to the main stairwell and we could often hear loud voices from the reception area.

Great breakfast selection. Lovely view over the harbour. Excellent restaurants very close by. Comfy bed and spacious room. Well curated library and several places to sit inside and out.

A bit noisy from traffic as it is situated on a road. Balcony tiny - only room for two chairs squashed together! Breakfast items that should have been hot were often cold.
