Staff were all very helpful and friendly..The hotel itself would appear short staffed as poolsidebar doesn't open until 12 noon..probably to allow time to clear breakfast. The breakfast buffet was fine..some more variety might be a good idea and the omelette station is not always manned..proximity to Estepona and Puerto Banus is good...provided you have a car. The reception area has been redecorated and is very pleasant

The outside pool area is tired...there are 2 cabana type sun loungers which are rarely used and take up space for at least another 4 or 5 sunbeds...the handrails into the pool are badly rusted and the grout between the tiles is moulded..there had been a strong wind when we were there and a lot of leaves etc were lying in the pool...the cleaner only seemed to come once a week...a robot pool cleaner might be a good investment

Very good breakfast. Could extend checkout time 10 Euro per hour, so no rush to leave.

Steps down to the pool area. Arrived 9pm Friday, both bars were shut. Went and found a restaurant outside the hotel. There was no kettle in the room, no information that kettles could be provide when asked for. Sat afternoon spent time by pool met up with friends we didn't know they has booked the same hotel. There was only one waiter serving food/drinks, really need 2 or more staff serving. No mention if the bar is open and no waiter around ask as reception. Close to main road, heard road noise from balcony. The menu for dinner did not show what items were gluten free.

The Spa was amazing although they have closed down the big salt water swimming pool which I used to really enjoy but the rest of the facilities are great. But my massage was the best thing about the whole experience. Marlise gave me a relaxing massage which was quite transformative. Her massage made me realise that I have not been taking care of my body as much as I should. Ye sit was that good, she has the hands of an angel. I have been taking different types of massage for years but this was different. I highly recommend a massage here.

For a 4 star hotel I felt that the breakfast was lacking. I am a vegetarian and past the eggs, beans and bread there was not much else warm food to eat. Plus I was either using them wrong or the coffee machines seemed to only give out a sample not a coffee.

Breakfast was good. Beds very comfortable, nice bathroom, and as everyone mentioned exceptional spa. It has aroma baths, steam room, cold plunge, salt water pool with various hydro massages, dry sauna, you name it. Really recommend going and paying the extra for it.

The pool was nice, but definitely needs better filters, or at least more regular vaccuming, because while we were there there was a lot of visible dirt that wasn't filtered properly. Not sure why, but needs either filter check or more regular cleaning.

I recently stayed at Exe Estepona Thalasso & Spa and chose this hotel as I wanted a relaxing holiday with everything I needed within or near the hotel, and this hotel ticked all my boxes. As many other reviews have mentioned, the staff at Exe Estepona are excellent: they were always really friendly and helpful, both before and during my stay! Due to visiting fringe-season, parking in their underground carpark was free, which was a nice perk. The beach was approximately 10min walk, and once I’d managed to cross the main road (I couldn’t be bothered walking to the foot bridge 5min down the road…) it was through a quiet but well lit residential area. Rooms and facilities were much as I’d expected from the pictures: nice and comfortable, but possibly not brand spanking new. The gym however was better than the pictures suggest, and the pool area was lovely and surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to the main road. As was my room, which overlooked the pool and the sea in the distance. Only thing I missed was a kettle, but maybe that’s a cultural thing. Finally, I’d like to mention the Spa, which was one of the main reasons I chose Exe Estepona. They had an extensive choice of treatments and helped me choose the ones best suited for me. I ended up treating myself to two treatments + a session in the seawater circuit pool area. Ines and Ioana made me feel very welcome and extremely pampered, and were impressively accommodating in finding treatment slots to suit my preferences (I left it a bit last minute to book). Would recommend!

Nothing that I didn't like. The hotel is great, but it's just that little bit too run down to merit a 9. Close though!

The hotel was well equipped & the decor was very nice. Our suite was large, massive bathroom with 2 showers & a bath. Lots of balcony area with sun beds, table & chairs etc. The Spa area was amazing however they require payment & time is limited once you purchase a slot. Nice outside pool area with lots of sun beds & pool bar to get food & drinks.

The bar area is not comfortable & limited staff around to serve drinks. Hotel is right on the road so a little noisy from traffic at night. There are no pleasant views but easy to get on the road if you are heading out.

Nicely sized rooms, walk out balcony. Modern, high end bathroom, supportive, comfortable bed, everything was spotlessly clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and were able to accommodate.my needs by working in English. Salt water pool was refreshing and a great place to unwind after an active day. Safe street parking available across from and near hotel.

Location was close to A7 highway, so there is always a background hum of sound. While the seashore was a 5 minute walk, the start includes crossing two non-pedrestrian marked traffic circles (requiring clamboring overr a few steel guard rails) and an A7 highway overpass, not a pleasant part of the walk.

I visited Exe for a short week end, after a few neg. reviews I was unsure it was the right hotel for me, but it was a good surprise, lovely room, very clean and very comfortable bed, the breakfast was excellent, I would of liked having the description of the foods but there was a good choice. some said thd hotel was remote, it is a bit remote but you can walk to the beach in 20 mins minutes and there are taxis just outside the hotel, so it's worth reading up on the area for places to visit, I was visiting family that had moved to Spain so they knew the area. The Spa is worth a visit and the pool beautiful. I would bring a kettle if you must have your tea in the morning in bed as there are none in the room, I got one from reception who were very nice and helpful. I would definitely return.

Our trip was enjoyable. Since our first room had some issues, we were offered a room upgrade and had a very nice room with a very big terrace, with sunbeds and a jacuzzi bathtub. Good breakfast with many options to choose from. We enjoyed our time at the pool together with cocktails from the bar. The spa area is impressive and it is worth going a few times. The reception lady, Ioana, was very nice with us. They have indoor parking accessible with your room access card.

Hotel room was clean, bed was large and comfortable, nice balcony, good spa facilities with a nice outdoor pool, nice sized bathroom, good noise insulation with a doubly entry door system which helped promote a quiet/good night sleep.

I found for the price that the use of the spa should have been included in the price as it is an add on - which is unusual for other 4/5 star hotels I have stayed at previously. Parking is also an extra charge. I am used to paying for parking at hotels and usually don't mind, but not for hotels that are a bit further out/less central. Bit far from the centre of anywhere, but if you're looking purely for a hotel stay without the need to go out much then it's perfect (or if you don't mind getting a taxi).
