The property is conveniently located next to the Autovia A7, making it an excellent choice for travelers. It is also very close to the beach. Despite being next to the Autovia, the room was quiet. The room was small, particularly the bathroom, but it was sufficient for our two-night stay. The receptionist was very helpful and recommended a restaurant literally next door that served excellent food. The property is very clean. Although they do not offer breakfast, there is a nice café in Cancelada village, just a 5-minute walk away. I would stay here again for a quick visit to the area, but not necessarily for a long beach holiday.

This place is an absolute gem of a find! Perfectly clean, more than adequate facilities a fantastic comfy bed and the staff were absolutely amazing. Close to everything that you could possibly need either for a business trip or a holiday. This is my next Absolute go to for every time I come over and I travel a lot for business.

Even though we had a room at the rear of the building traffic noise from the A7 highway was very intrusive. The bed mattress was very firm and uncomfortable

Dear, We liked to stay there. It is close to Estepona center and Marbella center. The beach is close too and there are a couple of restaurants very close, One of them is under the hotel.

There were two small problems with one of the rooms. Our bed smelled like smoke — I have no idea why — and our room faced the main road, so it was noisy. I suggest booking a yard-facing room.

You should not base your decision of booking this place based on my review. I booked it for friends of the family, hence I don't have an personal experience from the placce that I can share here, but they thought it was okay.

The people I booked it for complained that it wasn't to the same standard as the previous place I had booked for them. But what do you expect, before this place they stayed in a 4 start hotel with breakfast included.

when I booked I was aware it was a no frills hotel. I didn’t however expect to the charm of the place. it was basic a room with a bed but it counted that there was a lovely supply of the hand and body wash. I was serviced daily, clean towels daily. The hotel itself was extremely lovely in decor, it had Spanish charm. All the staff from day one were helpful, pleasant and I was sad to leave as I was treated with a jolly smile and a chat daily. The hotel had easy access to the Italian restaurant which I made the effort to try various dishes to evaluate whether it was a one off or consistent good food. I was served always very quickly, the chef very pleasant and the quality good. The hotel was very clean and the decor very warm, I’ve stayed at various beautiful and luxury hotels and this is the first time one has stuck out purely because I think I was looking for a fault and could not find it. Thank you Hotel Matilde and thank you to all the staff that made my stay pleasant

There are a couple of things that really stick out. it would be great to have had a kettle and cups in the room. Making myself a hit drink would have been good. There was a vending machine in the lobby well stocked but a hot drinks of no kettle in room would have been good.

The room was superb. Large and comfy for the price. Just like 15 min walk to beach as well. Was perfect for our short stay.

Maybe a breakfast place nearby.

Convenient off-highway location. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean room & bathroom. Room at back of hotel so no road noise. The bed is firm but I like that.
