We stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel in Girona for 5 days and had an amazing time exploring the city. The location is very convenient — it’s about a 20-minute walk to the train station, which made getting around easy. The neighborhood around the hotel also has plenty of great restaurants, so we never had trouble finding somewhere nice to eat. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, making sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, it was a great base for our time in Girona, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

We had forgotten to have breakfast included in the stay. We had to pay extra for that. Other than that, there’s nothing that I disliked.

The staff were excellent at both the reception and in the restaurant all very pleasant and helpful.

It is in a bit of an urban area, so there is not much around, and it's a heck of a walk into Girona centre.

I'd visited the old town in 2013 and searched for affordable accommodation there before this trip but Double Tree by Hilton had better accommodation outside the old town albeit expensive. My Hilton Honors' price was the about the same as my booking.com price The rooftop pool and bar were the best this trip - the pool was about 15m with good views to the mountains and the old city. We didn't eat at the hotel - I checked the menu and vibes, deciding we were far better off walking the 15+ minutes to the old town with a great coffee shop on the way and another there, along with great food in each restaurant we researched Our two day trips were enjoyable - visiting historic villages I'd ridden through in 2013

The wifi/internet wasn't secure. Our Norton VPN protected our phones but my computer struggled so I couldn't use it. The underground carpark was convenient but expensive

Really helpful multilingual staff. Comfortable bed and light rooms with plenty of space. Air conditioning at a comfortable level. Excellent breakfast. Girona is lovely (it was our first visit) and the hotel easy to drive to and located out of the busiest parts of the center, but an easy and pleasant walk to many cafes and restaurants.

Would have liked to have better access to a cafe or light meal on site when we arrived tired and (very) hot after a flight and drive. Minor niggle though as it was a short and pleasant walk into the town, along the edge of a park later on when we had recovered from our journey.

The bathroom was great and the room was nice, with a fully functioning AC. The front desk staff and breakfast/dinner staff were all great. Our two bikes were safely stored while we were there.

The distance into town was a bit far, as was the distance to a laundromat and the Orange store, but nothing exceptional. Our room rate was high, but probably because it was the 4 days of the Traka. The bed was on rollers but the lock wasn't great so every night I had to wedge some kleenex under the wheels.

location - about 15 20 mins away from the tourist sights in Girona, good location in a nice quiet area with lots of cafes and supermarkets around. room - clean, spacious, massive bed, had a kettle and hot drinks options as well as a fridge, complimentary water, ironing board, iron, hair dryer. 10/10 staff - lovely friendly staff on reception and housekeeping bathroom - really spacious and modern plus you get a warm cookie on arrival ☺️

the air con wasn't cold at all and the room was really warm. we asked for a fan but reception did something which made the ac cold. also the shower head wasn't the cleanest but thats just a minor thing, not a big issue, loved this hotel.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Good location, ten minute walk from train and bus station, about 15 from Old part of the City. Nice restaurant on site, small pool on roof terrace. Room clean and well serviced.

Air con not that straightforward, didn’t seem to be an option to entirely switch off, but worked well when we wanted it on. Room furniture, bathroom etc starting to look rather ‘tired’ and worn out in places. Some more sun loungers needed around the pool - surprisingly few available. Certainly nothing that spoilt our stay here.

My stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Girona was fantastic! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat during my trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. I thoroughly enjoyed dining at the hotel's restaurant, where the pizzas were absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The relaxed atmosphere and great food made every meal a highlight. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its excellent service and warm hospitality!

Excellent location, close to motorway but city centre and station easily walkable. Room was a good size, spotlessly clean and quiet. Breakfast was good and included cooked options which booking suggested it didn't. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely rooftop terrace with pool and bar. Metered parking around (free overnight) but free car park nearby. 15 mins drive to airport.

Rooftop terrace pool and bar closes at 8pm, which is a shame. Would have liked shower gel in bathroom rather than just hand wash. Hotel's own car park is very expensive if you use it. Not a hotel issue, but beware of getting a train to Barcelona. Trains are good, but station ticketing system is extremely confusing (and requires ID), it's very slow to get served and tickets are rather expensive.

Clean, staff were ever helpful and accomodating.

Small issues - access cards to the room were not functioning twice, so had to go down to lobby to get new ones activated. Twice not functioning on two separate occasions, so two trips to the reception at the main lobby. Also, the wall was probably not that sound proof, as I can hear people chatting about from next door up till 3am in the morning, which disturbed sleep. Other than that, everything was great!
