Hard to say, because so much was exceptional with very much, nothing, a negative Frankly, the biggest surprise was just how special the location proved to be, and not just because of the convenience of stepping across the street to The Alhambra. Granada is a wonderfully complex city and having such a calm, comfortable foundation, such as this hotel, separate yet close, linked by a beautiful park-like path into the city center, from which you can explore neighborhoods and cultural touchpoints. And, yes, The Alhambra, illuminated across the street when you return in the evening, standing silently as it has for centuries, is just stunning.

Really, nothing Maybe, being that the walk into the city center is downhill, the walk back is uphill... something about what goes down must come up. There you have it...

First of all the warm welcome. In many ways the reception staff made us feel welcomed and super helpful for any questions. Car was valeted therefore no hassle to park. Most of things are within walking distance, and taxis are reasonably priced too. The quality of the place made our last leg of the journey memorable. We were very tired after a week of holiday around andalucia, many hours of driving, so it was lovely to rest while exploring Granada on the doorstep. The other thing I’d like to mention is the shower fitting that actually allows us to put things on top! Small things like this make us feel really at home so well done whoever decorated the place! Shower pressure is pretty important for me, and none of those little bottles lying around.

Nothing - everything was amazing. Food was lovely too. Some may complain about the noise from people walking up and down Alhambra as well as vehicles, but we always travel with our earplugs so no problem for us. I slept like a baby.

The location is perfect. It is a hop skip and jump to the entrance of the Alhambra. But if you find hills an issue, just turn left, walk about 20 steps, and wait for the 30 or 32 bus to glide you up. Every 5 or 10 minutes. The staff are charming. The rooms are lovely. The best two things for me were - 1 the peace, the Alhambra gets busy, but all those beautiful courtyards were meant to instil a sense of calm and connecting to nature. My hotel room overlooked a wonderful garden ( carmen) full of wildlife and beauty. Coming back to that room and opening the windows gave me that peace. 2 read or listen to the book about the Alhambra by Washington Irving., it really is a fun read, lots of stories such as the 3 princesses ( 2 eloped one didnt) it brings some of the history of this amazing place to life. On the tour, you go through the room where he slept, just brilliant. The hotel also has a library with several first edition Washington Irviing books. I rarely write reviews and now have written an essay! I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at the Washington Irvine! I had a double room at the front of the hotel, which looks out onto the walls of the Alhambra, and it was spacious, peaceful, and with more facilities than I had expected. The hotel restaurant has some delicious dishes, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a stone's throw from the main entrance to the Alhambra, and an easy walk through the beautiful external grounds surrounding the Alhambra into the city. (It's easy because it's downhill, and there's a bus which stops just before the hotel to get back!) I drove to the hotel and there's valet parking, which was great. If I were to come back to Granada, I would 100% stay again - and I've already recommended it to friends.

Lovely, comfortable, clean well equipped room. Excellent sound insulation from outside and powerful shower! Excellent breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. I had flowers and chocolates organised for our Anniversary and they were very happy to arrange. Location excellent with Alhambra accross the road and regular bus service and hop on hop off tour bus just outside. Taxi rank also very close.. Steep plesent 10min walk down to the centre. Just get no 30 or 32 bus back up for €1.60.Taxi about €6.00.

No English TV or Netflix. Bar / Restaurant staff overwhelmed. Only one staff member trying to manage both! Had cocktails which were a bit of a disaster. There was an acknowledgement of the shortage of skills needed and these were replaced with less complicated drinks at no charge. Management need to address this urgently to what was otherwise a perfect stay.

Good location and nice room layout. Good breakfast.

Room was needing a refresher, the sauna didn’t have any towels and no working light in the shower and the food in the restaurant was not at all living up to price level

The deluxe room has a sofa and table with a mirror that is suited for a woman to put on her make-up, it was a comfortable room. The bathroom has a door separating the toilet/bidet and shower with the sinks and bath. This allows for privacy. The gym was well equipped. The Hotel was clean. We liked the walk uphill from the town to the Hotel. There was an option to take the C32 bus.

We were surprised at no usb ports in the room. No where to plug in our phones to charge. Summer 2024 the pool area needs attention to the tiles, its looking shabby. The Hotel is a high standard hotel but it misses the 5* luxury with lots of little details. More attention to the details and this can easily be 5*.

Beautiful hotel. Very quiet, clean and comfortable at a good price. We booked it specifically because it is a 2-3 minute walk to the entrance to the Alhambra with a footpath opposite to the Albaicin area of Granada. Fantastic shower and bathroom facilities. Attentive staff who are polite. We booked with parking and the car is taken away. You then just ask for it at a specific time when leaving.. Would recommend.

The restaurant in the evenings had a very limited menu and limited variety. We don't like tuna or octopus. Not really to our liking except the pizza. As we were here in February, the restaurants around the Alhambra were closed in the evening so we didn't have much choice without a long dark walk or taxi. Staff very pleasant but slow service due to lack of waiting staff.

Location is excellent for Alhambra Palace and our room was lovely and spacious. Restuarant is really nice with excellent staff who took our breakfast orders and service was great.

When I tried to book the room that I actually wanted it kept showing as double the price. Example. Room for 2 nights and 2 people was £237, but once I clicked to accept and pay, the price changed to £474. This looks like an issue with Booking dot com rather than a problem with the hotel. I called b.com and was told that they will resolve and come back to me. I called to chase the next day and the person who answered did not know anything about my issue. I decided to book a different room.
