We upgraded to a supreme room which had the most amazing bath!!! The rooms are spacious. The instructions sent to you via WhatsApp are perfect and very clear!! Parking you had to pay for in advance. If your lucky you could park on the street, but to be fair we prefer to park in the car park where you car is safe.

The breakfast is ridiculous!! I’m sorry but I feel it is best not to offer anything as I feel it was very poor!!! The offer of where is states a huge discount is a bit of a marking ploy, what we paid is what we felt the accommodation is worth. Not the over £100 euros is was meant to be discounted from!???

The hotel was in a great location and it was a really nice old building with beautiful room. the water was hot, reliable and the air conditioning was consistant. Check in was pretty quick and easy.

My particular room had a full window with balcony on one side of the bathroom. No communication from staff on better way for privacy and even after i discovered ( after a bath and using toilet in the dark! ) there was a wood shutter outside that could be pulled. But even with it pulled closed, you still could see in bathroom when lighted at night!! Absolutely unbelievable that they didnt consider this a problem ....especially since everything else was fantastic.....unless they are filming :(

Everything was perfect! The place was very cozy, we had a very nice and big terrace to be outside. The room was very big, way more than what we were expecting or needed, and the AC worked perfectly. The bed was confortable, we had a mini bar section and some sofas, and a lot of light coming from all the windows it has. The shower is a little small, but it works perfectly. Everything was clean and the staff is great and very friendly. Its literally next to a bus stop, which takes you to the center en 10/15 minutes. Its also close by to a bus stop to go to Alhambra. Totally recommend it! If we go back to Granada we are definitely stopping there again. The place also has a small swimming pool, but we didnt go to it. The breakfast included is good abd complete, we had for each one of us a coffee/tea, orange juice, toasts, jam, butter, tomato paste, pate and some ham paste.

...but! All this was absolutely great but they failed at small things. 1. .In the room was cold. (February) The air condition wasn't strong enough to heat up this huge room. 2. That same air-condition was placed across the bed so it was blowing directly on us all the time. Very uncomfortimg. 3. We got a retro bath in the room which was incredible, but there wasn't enough hot water that we could use it. 4. I always put filter "use of kitchen" specially because we are traveling with a small child, but all they had was a microwave one floor under. 5. Free breakfast was disaster and shouldn't be called by that name. Second day we didn't even go for it. If they didn't fail on those things my rating would be 11/10, so if you don't need it it's great value for money.

"Gala Placida 1923" is nicely situated near the city center. There are many streets where parking is free if the lines are white, as long as you find a place to park. The hotel is very nice and the stuff is kind and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room is spacious. My only concern is that it was very cold in the room. The air-condition was off and when we started it, it got warmer on the next morning. And the bathroom remained very cold. I am sure that the place will be perfect at any other time, when it is not so cold outside.

.We paid 30€ per night thanks to Genius discount and last minute booking. Original price was shown as 100€ per night. For the price we paid it was exceptional, The room was very spacious and luxurious. Terrace is very nice. We had breakfast included in our price and it was brought to our room. We had also minibar available - quite useful. Nevertheless we would have been very disappointed had we paid full price (100€/night). I think it is marketing style of the hotel to show high price but offer numerous discount. For the price we paid it was absolutely exceptional.

The blanket was not perfectly clean (lipstick stains).

I liked how big it was but because of winter not such a good idea as takes forever to warm up or stay warm . If I knew I wouldn’t have upgraded . Even though it’s not city centre it was close enough and I liked the furniture and decor of the room minus the shower room .

The TV was huge but it was old school hasn’t been updated since 10 years ago I would say. The picture quality was bad , and sometimes after all the touristy stuff and dinner you want to relax with the missus cuddled up but we couldn’t see well. Need to upgrade to a smart TV

The lady working there was super nice and friendly and she really cared about us. The price was cheap and we had also a kitchen, air conditioning was all that we needed as it was super hot. Very close to the centre and there was a bus stop right outside our house. Lots of services around as well, very well situated.

There wasn't an airdryer, or if there was we couldn't locate it and the bathroom can become stuffy quickly. The shower was a bit of a nightmare as despite all the efforts water always got on the floor. I don't think the cleaner ever passed as the floor was always the same but as we were barely in, this wasn't a major issue. the outdoor area is a bit falling apart, I would suggest to change the furniture there

We enjoyed our family stay at Gala Placida. Each room was perfect for us and the surrounding environment and neighborhood too. You can walk 20 minutes through parks along the river to get to the city center or just hop on a bus that stops almost in front to get to the center easily (only 2 euros for the card and then 0,44 cts per ride) in a bus with aircon. The staff were extremely helpful and nice throughout our stay and they even let us freeze our icepacks in their freezer while they minded our luggage after we checked out and went for some churros before hitting the road back. The “Churrería Cervantes” a few meters up the road is a must for great churros with chocolate. There are many other bars and places to eat nearby but you need to go up the road or look them up as they are not easily visible from in front of the hotel. Just ask the staff for recommendations. The pool is small (3 x 3m) but great fun to take a dip in after a day sightseeing. Breakfast is simple yet much appreciated, it would be hard to do more with the excellent rates you are paying per night. I could not believe the price we paid per night, for such a great accommodation and location. We found a free parking space around 100 meters from the hotel (you can also park on the opposite curb for a few minutes while you unload your car) so we saved the paid parking that was on offer (17 euros for 24h). The area seems quite safe to leave your car outside, just take basic precautions as anywhere else. We read a lot of negative reviews about the poor internet, after talking to the management ourselves to share our own experience, it seems the process of moving to fiber is almost completed so this will soon not be an issue at all. I am sure that we will be back!

We had the rooms overlooking the main avenue in front but even though there is traffic, it is not extremely busy nor did the traffic disturb our sleep at all (double glazed windows).

Don't expect a five star hotel, but a stylish hotel that is clean and well located. Very nice location, bus stop right next to the hotel, parking for the car can also be found, although it may take a while. Staff at the reception very nice, helpful and immediately remembered to tell us which way to go and where, and what not to miss on our trip. The room was clean, the air conditioning started working when we contacted reception. What takes points off this hotel's rating is the breakfast. Unfortunately, it is just not good. At the same time, instead of pate and tomato puree, it would have been enough to put a few slices of ham, cheese, maybe even an egg on the plate and it would have been worth a similar price and the effort of the person who toasted us a mini bun in the morning. (Just for fun, we got one and a half buns the first day and one small bun the second day. :) ) The breakfast plate included a box of margarine, a couple of jams, pate and tomato puree. While I don't know who the usual clientele of this hotel is, I would highly recommend this upgrade, even if it comes at the expense of a few euros for the price of the room. And then I'll also ask for us tourists. If there is a kettle and microwave, please don't take all the crockery away, but at least leave a few cups, bowls and plates. We would have loved to make that tea after a long day, but there was nothing to put it in.
