Monica has created somewhere very special in El Hotelito del Cotillo. The rooms are simple but comfortable and have everything you need - hot water, kettle and tea/coffee, bottled water in the fridge, good WiFi. Breakfast isn’t included but Monica provides a croissant or similar for each guest in the morning. Parking is close by and joining instructions were perfect. There is a lovely shared roof terrace too. Monica was so helpful and friendly and offered us great advise on what to see and where to go on the island. I’d be delighted to return here again and thoroughly recommend it to travellers who like to stay in a small personally run hotel which is managed with thoughtfulness and care.

I cannot describe how amazing this place is! Such a gem in the beautiful town of El Cotillo. Everything was perfect (communication, location, cleanliness and help on offer) and the attention to detail from the owners is second to none. The complimentary pastries in the morning is such a thoughtful idea as it saves you time and you can relax with breakfast in your room, or take them with you if you are heading out early. The decor is incredible and influenced by Moroccan riad's (again with the attention to detail). This extends to the roof terrace which is just the perfect place of serenity. The location is excellent as it's only a couple of minutes walk to the center of Cotillo and the same to the beaches, but far enough away for it to be a peaceful, quite spot. It's also in a great location if you're looking to rent bikes/boards etc (close to the best places) The owners are on hand to suggest all the best places, but this is not done in an intrusive way, they are there if you need them. Our lovely host Monica gave us a wonderful warm Fuertaventura welcome and provided loads of great tips of the best things to do in beautiful El Cotillo and across the island 👍🙏 The location is excellent and the rooftop is awesome. Delicious fresh croissants delivered every morning. Hot tub in the rooftop too. A great wee hotel. We’ll be back. Big thumbs up!

If there was an option to give 11 out of 10 - I would! This place is just magical! The atmosphere, the interior, the roof terrace with the jacuzzi, the coffee and tea in the room and the croissant with fruit in the morning.. oh and the bed! You can just tell that they care about this place. Monica was so kind, we could check in earlier, gave us lots of information (we've already been to Fuerteventura and El Cotillo, but still so much to discover) and always available. It was also my birthday, and she organised a small bottle of cava and chocolate easter eggs, I mean how can you not fall in love with this place and the owners. Thanks again so much for the amazing stay, and hope to see you soon!

Absolutely nothing!

Everything - it is tasteful and beautifully decorated in a Moroccan style. Fabulous area near to everything but quiet too. Monica (the host) is the best, and nothing was too much trouble, and she genuinely seemed to want you to share her love of the island. She succeeded! Every morning there was a croissant plus other goodies waiting for us. There is an open terrace on the top floor with sun loungers and a hot tub too.

The decor was lovely with a Moroccan theme. Access to the property was easy and brilliant communications with the host. The whole hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The pictures online do not do this little gem justice. There was a great selection of coffee and teas, cooled water in the fridge. We were left croissants, fruit and nuts for breakfast. We sat up on the roof terrace and it was so relaxing....Good location and found our way around this wonderful small town

Our host was just great. We got many perfect tips for our overall stay in the island. The roof terrace was amazing for both breakfast and dinner. No problem to park the car any time in front of the hotel.

As there was no air conditioning everybody slept with a window opened to the common yard. So, in the morning we were asked to keep maximum silence till 10 a.m. which we did not always succeed in. As understandable as it is to show respect to other guests it caused us some funny moments :-)

Our stay in El Hotelito can be described in just one word : Charming. The room is big enough, very nice decorated, extremely clean. Monica is the best host I ever met, she contacted us in advance to have the room ready on time, she gave us the best tips about the surroundings and even for our next trip in Lanzarote. Everything that she recommended us was a total success(restaurants, bars, beaches, trekking routes). The complimentary croissants and fruits were such a nice surprise. We will come back for sure because we didn’t get to enjoy the jacuzzi.

The hotel looked just like the pictures, the room was big and in a good state. Everything felt really cared for and both the room as well as the communal spaces like the roof terrace were clean and spacious. If you want to rent a bike to explore the area they provide you with a space where you can store your bike during your stay. The host Monica is very kind and every morning she has prepared a breakfast bag for you with croissants or muffins and fresh fruit. She will gladly help you if you have any questions about the area and she can assist you with finding transport back to the airport. If you enjoy a quiet hotel that feels luxurious but is still affordable I would definitely recommend it!

There was nothing I did not like about the room or the hotel. There was a short power outage in the whole city of El Cotillo but luckily the hotel had provided emergency lights in the room and had contacted me if everything was alright.

Fantastic accomodation! Super cosy beautiful little riad, adorable roof top terrace, very personal approach to guests by the owner Monica & staff, you feel very welcomed and geniunely taken care of. I got lots of fantastic tips from Monica for the rest of the island and even for Lanzarote. Thanks a lot for making my stay so special!

As it is set up as a riad, your windows face a little inneryard and subsequently the window of the oppsite room. The windows have curtains, and there is a strict quiet hours policy, but you still hear every word of what the others are saying even if they are not particularly loud. Not a big deal for me, but it’s good to keep it in mind ;)
