Spacious room. Comfy beds, including an extra bed we've requested. Great soundproofing of the rooms and heavy curtains made for good night rest. Breakfast - both hot and cold buffet selections have been great and always replenished. Late checkout. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were always clean and well looked after. Location - although not in the downtown, it's near the Europa Fira metro station which allowed for easy transfer to and from the airport and the downtown / sightseeing locations. Ikea next door :)

Minor things: Sinks were directly in the room, so morning / evening washing routines were a bit tricky if someone else was sleeping. WiFi was somewhat slow (could be upgraded for an added fee). The bathroom didn't have a ventilation fan. Slight disconnect in the price we've been charged vs. Booking.com price. The pillows could've been a bit thicker.

I liked the place, we got high floor, the view was awesome in any time of the day! Very comfortable area, close to metro, Ikea, shopping centre, Mcdonald and other places to eat. We left our luggage in the hotel and spent time till check in in shopping centre. Pretty interesting bathroom in toned glass. Did not expect this, but it was nice! Good soundproof! The hotel has own gym and sauna, but for additional cost you can get massage as well.

When we arrived and entered the room - the smell of chlorine after cleaning was extremely strong. The windows are very tight - we understood, that the window is opened more one day before check out. The one evening the elevators did not work for a while, it was good, that we were in the room.

Everything was brilliant. The hotel is amazing. We got a super room in the 19th floor. The location is cool, new and safe, near metro but obviously not in the center. Price was really good. Breakfast was good.

Difficult to find something that I did not like. Maybe the loud noises that came from the construction site was a little bit uncomfortable.

Very friendly staff, spacious and modern room. Wi-Fi was available in the room, which is not always the case in Spain. The elevators were super fast — no long waiting. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety. Excellent location: right next to the metro, but still very quiet, and direct line to the airport.

Water from the shower leaked a little into the room because the shower door didn’t close tightly. During dinner at the restaurant, there was no music, which made the atmosphere a bit less cozy and made it easy to hear other guests’ conversations. Occasionally, the Wi-Fi was unstable.

First impression very good - expansive reception/bar area with welcoming staff. Spacious room close to the elevator (22nd floor) as requested. Excellent view. Recognition of my wife's birthday with a message and a cake! :-) Good shower and towels.

We booked this hotel as we were heading out on a cruise and the hotel is a 15 minute taxi ride from the port, however, if you are looking for easy and regular access to Barcelona city center, it is a a taxi ride or the metro. The nearest metro station is walking distance from the hotel. WARNING: I caught a someone attempting to pickpocket me on the escalator exiting the metro so beware.

The hotel is beautiful. I was not expecting it. The cleaning was spotless and the beds very comfortable. It has a nice view and we didn't hear any noise from the other rooms or from outside. The location is very close from the metro station and from the airport. It has Ikea and a big mall nearby.

The check-in is very slow. We spent so much time waiting. I advice doing the pre check-in in advance. The room was ok. We chose the cheapest bedroom and it has the bathroom inside the bedroom separated only with glass dividers - it is ok, but some more privacy would be nice. The location is good but nothing much to see there at night besides a McDonald's and a 10 minutes walk mall.

I already knew the area. Although mainly business area with hotels, it is very convenient as it is half way the airport and city centre and well served by transport. It is quiet, green and spacious. Still there are some nice restaurants around (reception recommended O Luar, and I confirm: very good!), an IKEA next door and a shopping mall within 10 minutes walk. The hotel is very beautiful and original, an architecture jewel. Despite the funny round shape of the building, rooms are extremely spacious. I was lucky I got an upgrade on a high floor and had wonderful views. All rooms have big windows and are comfortable, including TV, minibar, nice couch, bathroom with tube and separate shower. On floor 17 there is a gym with sauna and facilities for massages (complimentary). Friendly staff, all perfect.

It would maybe nice if it had a rooftop bar.

Before I arrived, I had some concerns about the hotel's distance from the city center. However, I quickly discovered that the neighborhood is one of the best in Barcelona, filled with beautiful buildings and excellent public transport links. The bus and metro stations are conveniently located right next to the hotel, making it easy to reach all parts of the city. One of the most interesting aspects was the view from the top floors, which offered breathtaking panoramas of Barcelona, especially the Olympic Stadium and Tower. There is also a large shopping center nearby, one of the biggest in Barcelona. Although we were not there for shopping, it’s a great opportunity for those who wish to explore. The breakfast was good, offering a varied selection that was adequate to start the day. While it may not have been extraordinary, it provided everything necessary to fuel us for our adventures. For my future stays in Barcelona, Hotel Porta Fira will definitely be one of my top choices. Thank you for a lovely experience!

What a wonderful stay we had! I was worried about the location but it was very calm, safe and with everything you might need within 10-15 min walk. Metro train is only 5 min away. There is a construction going on right next to the hotel, so be aware to wake up every day but Sunday around 7 am or so. The room is modern, cleaned daily, beds are comfortable - what else do you need for a good rest? Oh also, if you are lucky, you might have a sea view (we stayed at 20th floor).
