Accommodation at Hostal Nova Barcelona was one of the best things I experienced in Barcelona. Very clean room (there was cleaning service every day and they even exchanged towels every day - not usual for hostel type of accomodation). Air conditioning was working and we were able to open doors with chip very time. When we arrived personal was waiting for us. Additionaly to that - you can have breakfest or dinner in one of two closest restaurants for special price. I did not experience any noice in the corridor as written in some reviews. Hostel is approximately 5 minutes walking distance to closest metro. To summarize - this accommodation offers very reasonable ratio between price and quality and I would recommend to everybody who wants to visit Barcelona and stay here.

The first thing you notice when you enter the hostel is the cleanliness. Everything shines and smells very well. We really appreciated our sheets and towels being changed every day. We arrived really late, so the self-checking option was more than welcomed. The communication with the host was clear and we managed to check in and check out without any physical assistance. The hostel is near to the metro and bus station, so even though you are not in the center, you can easily reach there. A big bonus for the mini kitchen. It really saved us having coffee and tea available at the location, plus the microwave was really in handy.

This is a perfect place for families. We stayed with our 2 teenagers for 10 days. The owner was very helpful. Even at night when I sent him WhatsApp he wrote back. There are nice coffee shops around to have breakfast. Buses and 2 train stations were close by. Easy to get a taxi. We paid for the car park downstairs but we did not mind since it was hard to park in the city. Barcelona is a big town. I can not say it was close to everything but we found it easy to access everywhere. The bed has been made every day. It is a very good place for what you pay.

Our room was on the a very busy road. At night was very noisy. Double glazed defiantly needed :)

We appreciated the cleanliness of the place and the communication was prompt with clear instructions on how to access the property as we arrived after staff hours. We paid online before checking in and the area and building was safe. It was close enough to the station for us and we didn't mind the walk to Barcelona Sants upon arrival and departure. They provided new towels daily and made up your bed too. This was a great budget accommodation for us during our stay in Barcelona.

I was expecting a fridge as it was listed with things the place comes with but it will cost you €5 a day to hire. They should probably update this in the advertisement. The unit also says it comes with coffee, tea, kettle, microwave etc but that's not in the room you book, it's in a communal room which was okay for us because we didn't use their equipment, but a good to know for you. It's not so soundproof because you could hear your noisy, rude neighbours so wear earplugs! The size of the showers are super small! You get what you pay for!

The staff was always available through WhatsApp and responded quickly. Check in and registration was online and quite easy. Staff sent detailed instructions and videos of how to open the doors with the PIN and how to find the room. There was a vending machine with water and snacks, a microwave, coffee machine and electric tea kettle. Also plastic utensils available. While there is no breakfast in the hostel, there are good places to eat around it, such as Rincon de Sanabria. There is a discount for people who stay in the hostel. There is also a groceries store below the hostel.

Maybe a bit small but it's accurate to the photos and it is really good value for the price. There was no fridge.

Hostal is near to metro station Santa Eulalia (L1) with good connection to city center. The room was very spacious for 2 adults with 1 child. The room was cleaned on daily basis, including changing towels (maybe not necessary daily), but everything was always very clean and smelled fresh.

Noise from the street was signifficant also you can hear the vioces from the rooms. :(

Room with the basics that you need. Nice that you could make a tea in the kitchen. Friendly staff. Very close to the metro so easy access to the city center. The neighborhood it self is also nice: great bakeries to have breakfast and good restaurants nearby for a tasty lunch or dinner.

The rooms aren't sound proof so we were hearing the neighbours showering or leaving the hotel early in the morning.

It was incredibly clean. The beds were good. Lots of lights elecyrical sockets etc. Good for a short stay .it was really quiet. We had a good night sleep. Free tea and coffee.

The single beds were very close together. Perhaps a 12 inch to 14 inch table between. The shower was very very small but clean and good pressure. The area is not great for restaurants really. Close to the Airport bus however. The deodorizer spray the use in the halls is very strong. Use less Our bedroom wimdow had bars on it and looked out on a wall.

Hostal Nova Barcelona is a very clean and friendly place. Anna is a very pleasant, helpful and sweet lady. The bathroom sink has nice soaps for the hands, and the shower had a place (stainless steel basket) to put the body wash and shampoo, which. is unusual in Spain, at least in the hotels we stayed thru Booking.com. So, having this basic necessity was very nice. The bus stop to Barcelona Sants train station is just outside the Hostal. The other thing I want to mention is that the staff did a very good job keeping our luggage in the Hostal for about 1 week (a trip outside Spain) before we actually stayed at the Hostal.

Amazing hostel, very clean and tiedy. Loved the rooms and the washrooms.

The check-in was messed up by the facilitator, there was an online check-in option which he didn't pefer initially, argued for physical copy of the documents and was not accepting the digital copy and insisted to get approval documents from the nearest police station. When my friends took the option if getting the document from the police station and headed towards the police station. Half way through the facilitator requests them to come back and does the online check-in. Total waste of time, energy and ruined everyone's peace of mind.
